Welcome! Thursday nights at RIW are always whoever can make it; so yes, come if you can. If you look back over the past several pages of this thread, you'll be able to find out about all the various ongoing game nights at various locations in this area. I think someone even compiled all the info into one post but not sure how far back that post is.

Yup, it appears that it was announced at GAMA. An A-Wing and a B-Wing. Should be an A and a Y if you ask me, but oh well...

This tournament has been rescheduled to May 10th due to a scheduling conflict. Apparently Magic players will be swarming like locusts for a pre-release on the original date. I've updated the original post.

There are not regional tournaments (for either Star Wars game) that weekend, to my knowledge.

Sounds good. Have you been to GOB Retail on John R just south of 12? It's pretty small but they have some tables. They're also planning on moving to larger place on Rochester Rd. & 14 from what I hear. Maybe we could start something up closer to this neck of the woods.

Really? That is great news about GOB. Rochester & 14 is closer to my neighborhood than their current location.

I'm in Ferndale and somewhat new to the game. Just started playing with a friend over the past few weeks. However I'm really digging it and would love to find a group. I've been to GOB a couple times. Can't wait for them to get a larger space. If you guys in Royal Oak and Oak Park want to go there on an open gaming night I'd be down.

I can probably make it to RIW but I work out in Macomb so I wouldn't be able to get there until rather late. What time do you guys start?

The official start is 6, but that's when people start showing up. I'd say the first game typically starts around 6:30.

I typically get out at 6 and it's about an hour drive from here so I probably won't be able to make it. If I plan on leaving a little early I can possibly make it in the future.

Nah, that's totally fine timing. I said first game starts then, meaning 2 people are good to go. There'll be plenty of games played throughout the night and showing up at 7 won't keep you out of the fun.

Organized play kits. Game stores can order them as an incentive for us to play at their place instead of the basement of someone's house. It would more than likely be the 2014 Season 1 kit, which has alternative art pilot cards for the Dagger Squadron and Colonel Jendon as well as acrylic seismic charges and ion tokens. If we run one, it'll probably be $5 bucks to cover the cost, but then we get goodies.

That's cool I got a Wedge card and shield tokens when I stopped by a store a few weeks back. Apparently I was one of like only 4 people who even showed up.

Honestly, I wasn't expecting to be in "tournament mode" tonight. I just wanted to come out and get a game or two in. I always lose in tournaments anyway, and I'd rather just keep my $5 tonight.
