What? Blasphemy! That's illegal. Look it up in the rules, something about any attempt to manipulate the results of a tourney is against the rules and everyone will be DQ'd or something. Besides, I want to match up against you to redeem myself from the last match where I completely embarrassed myself.

And I traded my cardbox to the #2 guy in exchange for his acrylic target locks, so I finally got those!!! But now I need to win another box for myself.

IIRC, last year they ran 4 60min rounds for their regionals. Honestly, I don't expect more than 16 people showing up since they chose the one date that everyone told them not to put it on. As such, they put it on the same day as two of the other three Michigan Store Champs, so there'll be very few people traveling in. That said, quite a few people have picked up the game since last year, so that could cancel out, and you could see ~25 people there. If that's the case, it's for sure going to go beyond 3pm. The only way it wouldn't would be 16 or less people show up, and they choose to do 3 rounds then. And 60 minute rounds at that...

I was planning on swinging by Shenanigans this afternoon just to make sure everyone knew about the upcoming Store Championship at RIW this Saturday, but I may have forgotten about that this morning, so I don't have any of my stuff, though I still might just stop by to inform the player base and then peace out.

But what about Thursday? Who all is showing up then?

I'll be there Thursday to help anyone to practice for the Store Championship.

To Fanfare on the 8th? Yeah, that'll be my 3rd and final store champ, so we can carpool if you want. Depending on how I do in RIW's, I might decide to run imp at that one =P. "Whata mesay sayin?" Yeah, nevermind, that was a moment (or two) of weakness. I could never go to a tourney and not play to win.

And I found something else out.....as far as Flat Land Games.....Friday is not their X wing day. Evidently as the guy put it " X wing is catch as catch can there's no set day". so that needs to be amended in the OP. I'll change mine.

Have fun. I want to start branching out at some point and playing something besides 100pt rebel builds. But with so many tourneys up and coming (and then not to mention the new pilots / ships!) it's hard to get anything besides that in. Make sure you let everyone know that there's a store champ at RIW this saturday at 11am. If ya'll need ships to borrow to round out to 100 points, just post here beforehand and I can help ya'll fill out your ranks.

Oooorrr... better yet... Don't even bother bringing it up, and then Saturday morning, get a call at like 8am from "your boss" (i'd be willing to place this call) with some crisis that you had to go in and fix NOW. And then just mosey on over to RIW

Then, you can come home all PO'd and get special treatment from her that not only did he call you away all week to Texas, but now he called you back in on Saturday... Makes for a very wonderful Saturday, as long as she never finds out the truth...

MrHello and I are showing up tonight, along with a new guy from the FB group. Anyone else plan on getting some games in before the RIW store championship this weekend?

I'm hoping to make it out to RIW tonight but it will depend on a couple of factors. List me as probable.

I unfortunately won't be able to make it to Saturday's Store Championship because I will be in Chicago this weekend. I'm sad that I can't be there on Saturday because I actually really like the look of the Ten Numb alternate art card, but I will miss my chance to get one.

Fanfare in Kalamazoo has their store champs next Saturday, and I think mrhello and I are heading out there if you need a ride.

FYI I will be late tonight. Getting out of work late, and then I have to swing by Costco before I swing by RIW.

So how did the RIW store tourney go?

Poor attendance as expected. Plus they kinda forgot to have someone run it... so after ensuring multiple times with the store that I wasn't going to be running it... I ended up running it. Phil ended up winning with Matt in 2nd. And I ended in next to last! Whoo!!! Good thing I won last week

Phil and Matt sound like names i should know but aren't coming to me.

That's too bad, for you and for the store. But i do believe we did try to warn them that was a bad weekend. Then getting "stuck" TO'ing is it's own issue altogether.

9 of us =P. Phil won the Shenanigans tourney, and Matt won the last Flat land games tourney... and was involved in the car accident heading to Shenanigans.

I'm kinda mad at the store in general right now. And I'm hoping they run the LCG much better than this. But, I did learn that there's a tourney this Saturday at Gamer's Gauntlet in Clinton Township. So I'm going to be going there instead of the Fanfare one in Kalamazoo.
