Switching things up a little bit here. I'm working with Warriors 3 in Wayne to setup a game night kit (hoping for an S1 or S2, details to follow) for Saturday Jan 25th at 2pm. 100pts. $5 entry. This is all tentative while I iron out the details with them, but it should be good enough to go by for now.

Not that it matters, but any reasons on why the switch? RIW giving grief, or are you just looking to maximize your chances of obtaining kit material?

Bingo! I've been contacting the local stores trying to find others that might have a few S1 or S2 kits laying around that would be nice to play for. I know that RIW has plenty of S3 kits, and that they're only going to be used with us, so even if you don't have your stress tokens yet, they will happen. But the others are now "rare." I wouldn't mind getting my hands on a second set of shields, 5 more for X wing to ensure I can run any 100 point squad (**** B wings), leaving 10 for the LCG. And I would absolutely love my first set of TL from the S1 kit. Plus, if we can get a few extra players that frequent other establishments to join our group, then we have even more people and more fun!

Anyone want to go up to Grand Rapids tomorrow with me to participate in their tourney?

I didn't make it out. Instead I got to "play" with the girlfriend in the snow. Needless to say, it wasn't very playful as the snow is much too light to do anything with. Oh well.. They have enough tourney's out there that I'll stop by another time.

Nice. I can't hate on that. I could use a few more shield tokens, but since i mainly play Imp i can get by with what i do have. Unless i did field a Reb list, but i still think i'm ok provided it's not a YT and B and something else in the same squad.

Stress, i need 3 or 4 more and that would be more than enough. I think it's safe to say everyone could use focus/evade, and TL's.

The trick is to now come up with a winning Imp list that isn't just a pure TIE swarm. Come on Imp Aces, and get here already!

Sounds good for the 25th. Just so you know, Shenannigans in Taylor sent me a message that they are going to try a Star Wars night on Tuesdays 6-10. I'll let you know when I have more details.

Good luck with that! Pandemonium can be very difficult. They want X-Wing, but won't "commit" to a regular weekly schedule because they want someone else to pick the day. Only problem is when you pick the day, it's not a good one. You can rule out Friday night, and all weekend as that's Magic city.

Would be nice though. RIW, maybe here, and rumor is that Shenanigans wants to do something too. Throw in W3. Man that's a lot of X-Wing!

Yup. As I said earlier, I want to branch out to these other stores to grab their smaller play group, and then re consolidate back to RIW. I understand if the EMU folks can't come out on Thursdays, but I would like to make RIW the premier place for weekend tourneys by sucking in all the other game stores player base

So at this point, I think we have one venue to choose from per player I agree, I see RIW as the main event for X-wing while the other stores are the practice centers.

Anyway, Shenanigans said planning, when they actually meant starting. It starts tonight, and they're doing it from 6-10. I'm going to go for a game or two (assuming people show up), but I won't be able to stay till close tonight. I'll let you know how it turns out.

I let them all know, but it seems like the guys that bought the game play everything together there. Tonight they're all playing netrunner, and tomorrow they have a different game (can't remember the name), but they're all playing. A couple of them seemed a bit interested in the tourny on the 25th though.

And we got another tourney to add to this list. Pandemonium in Garden City is hosting a 100pt tourney at 1pm on Feb 8th for $5 with game night kits. Frim the sound of it, we will have our choice of which one(s) to play with.

I'm definitely interested in the tourney on the 25th I live pretty close by and was hoping to go to W3 to play more often, even just in some friendlies on a game night.

That's good. I'll be out at RIW eager for a game. Last week I primarily played the LCG and was kinda tired by the time I got around to X wing, nevertheless we didn't get to finish. I would say that I'd try to make it out a bit early... but I've actually been doing work here at my new position, so I can't duck out before 4 (which is leaving early) which puts me home at like 445 these days, and then heading out to RIW gets us there at like 545 after we grab something to eat. *shrug. Maybe I should tell the girlfriend I'll just meet her there. But then again, all my X wing stuff is at home still.

i may get there early today. Been getting out earlier these days, but that's only because it's the calm before the storm.

I do, however, already have my squad (Imps of course) organized and ready to go in my "staging" tray. I think that's a first...
