Herm... and make use out of all of our ships eh? I'm thinking 600 points per side or something? So we can field actual "squadrons" of fighters. And we'd have to take over one of the 40K tables. Hermmm... interesting... The only day left on my calendar to do that would likely be Dec 7th. Though I could probably swing it between Dec 16-19 if you had any of those days off.
Any SE Michigan games?
The 7th may work. I'll start prepping the wife now so it's not a surprise when i'm gone all day that day.
16-19 i'll probably be busy with new project launch. Week after that would be ok, but now you are getting too close to Christmas.
I'll def shoot for the 7th, and let you know.
I'm going to try to stop in tonight at RIW. Do people generally show up right at 6:00, or should I wait until later?
Johdo is typically there a bit before since he comes straight from work. Though he's not going to be there tonight. I strive to get there right at 6, but I'm not very precise - I seem to have a +/- 10min window though.
Good games last night MrHello. Now to just convince your friends to all come on Thursdays and then slowly peer pressure them into picking up their own copies!
Thanks again for the games, I wish I could've stayed a little longer. This week I should be able to stick around a little longer.

50 min rounds or is that a typo and supposed to be 60 min?

If it were a sanctioned FFG event we would go with 60 to 90 minute rounds. I've got about a four hour window to get in our monthly in-house event. I don't count battlefield set-up or ship deployment as part of the round time limit and inevitability the first round always gets off late. Our events are always free and have some kind of LGS supported prizes.
Edited by BigDoggWho's ready to throw down this Thursday at RIW? A week in the woods has me jonesing for some x-wing.
I'm down. I might be a bit late, I'll let you know as Thursday gets closer.
Sounds good
So I shouldn't be any later/earlier than normal. I can leave work at a reasonable time and then just have to stop by the dealership on the way to RIW, but again, I should be there at a normalish time.
Cool. I'll probably get there early, but that will give me time to get my stuff in order. I kinda dig this vacation stuff
Alright, so with S3 kits being available soon, I'm thinking about running a 3 week Thursday night tourney at RIW. This would be 12/5, 12/12, and 12/19 6pm - 10pm. There would be two swiss matches the first two weeks, and the 3rd week would be the top 4 playing for the championship stuff.
$5 Entry fee, but RIW has said they want a min of 8 people playing to commit a game kit. Who all would be interested?

Count me in
I can think of worse ways to spend $5. I'm in.
I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. I'm hoping to see all of you at RIW on Thursday. If we have 8 people show up, we'll go ahead and run the three week S3 tourney, but if not, we'll just have some friendly matches. Who all is planning to show up?
I have intentions on showing. I'm in training all this week, but i am hoping to get out early enough. Worse case, i'll just be late that evening. I'll keep ya posted.
Who all is planning to show up?
I'll be there. I hope we have enough for the tourney.
Tourny or no, I'll be there the next three weeks.

We have a number of folks playing X-Wing at Flat Land Games in Wixom Michigan. We are looking to set Friday nights as a standard league night, and run the organized play for this season just as soon as we get some players committed to the date, though we are willing to move the day of the week at this point.
We have over 8000 sq.ft. available for gaming just off I-96 in Wixom, come on by when you get a chance.
Friday night wouldn't really work for me as that is part of the weekend and considered sacred time. Nor would Thursday as that competes against RIW and EMU. But I'd be interested in coming on another week night, especially if there was an incentive of some sort.
