Does anyone know what the prize support will be for this tournament? I'm on the fence about the tournament because I've been getting into the LCG lately. I'm trying to decide if this tourney is worth the drive.

Talking with Bill from W3, he says he has one of each of the last kits. Which I would interpret as S1 and S2. Whether S1 or S2 (or both) are used as prize support I don't know. I'm hoping for S1 so I can get those TLs But I'd be happy playing for more shields too!

Also - feel free to play the LCG on Thursdays at RIW. I know that they have several regular players, but haven't picked up much new blood recently.

Tourny for this weekend is still a crap-shoot for me.

I will, however, be stopping up at Shenanigans tonight to see what that's all about, and of course i'll be at RIW for Thursday.

Just heard back from W3.

We are going to start at 2pm and it will be a 100 point build with 3 rounds of swiss. We'll be using the Fantasy Flight tournament rules that they post on their site. Cost will be $5 or the purchase of a X-Wing miniatures ship. Top 2 placers will get a medal and Mauler Mithel pilot card (from the Season 1, part 3 tournament kit). All participants will receive specialty stress tokens and Y-Wing pilot cards. I hope this works out for you guys. We look forward to having you out on Saturday .

Games went well. rino and I played a round that came down to Proto vs. Tempest... and after 20 or so rounds, I conceded so we could get more games in.

Rino and MrHello played a round trying out the hawk, which failed him miserably.

And then Rino and I had two rematches actually, because he realized it was suicide to fly straight into my squad, and he got decimated in the opening salvo, so we stopped that one and played another one out to completion, which was all about feigning where the ships were going and out maneuvering each other. The main forces were lined up on each other, and I split mine and headed for his flank, which I then chased around while his main force came around to chase my force... it was interesting... and did not end well for him. Though he continues to blame it on the fact that he borrowed one of my Advances, and it was throwing the game for me

Like a moth to an electric zapper, I had an overwhelming desire to fly an HWK straight at a Firespray. Things went as expected.

Well, luck will have it that things are better...however not enough luck to make the tourney.
