Expansion wish list

By bluecrane, in Death Angel

I guess it is my turn to contribute. So we have had . . .

1) Alternative Marines (Dark Angels)
2) Alternative Genestealer deck (Tyranids)
3) Alternative Missions and Locations (Mission Pack)

I guess this just leaves room for an alternative / add on Event deck. If I had any big idea's in this regard, I think some sort of "mini game" type events would be great. For example, a computer hacking event where you get to add support tokens based on the dice rolls. Or a shooting gallery style event where you attack the blip piles directly but risk being attacked by the blip pile at the end. The above are rough and probably not balanced but you get the idea.

I have only just noticed that other people have suggested this same thing, I might be beating a dead horse but I will put it out there regardless.

Not a hell of a lot to add, all told:

Plague marine & zombie deck would be nice to mix it up a little without having to change the rules (at least not drastically.)

Mission, Location & new Team packs would all be more than welcome & I'm sure they'll be coming with the POD system FFG's got going.

So now we play the waiting game…*sits, constantly refreshing FFG homepage*

I want Space Wolves and an Inquisitor! But not together. Inquisitor would probably consider Wolves to be heretics, especially if he caught em at chow time.

Or the Inquisitor will die by "accident", because Space Wolves don't like the Inquisition that much, to put it mildly (First war for Armageddon).

The marines in this game are from the Blood Angels chapter, they have a more glorious background than the Ultramarines .

This is so untrue…

Mi wish would be an eldar team, as some people suggested before. Including a couple of new terrain cards and "location number 4" cards also, similar to the "overlords" cards in the tyranid expansion :P

However, I would like it to be fully tested and proofread before being released :D because Space Marine Pack 1 and the Deathwing expansions contained a lot of not-very-clear rules.

The collectors edition tin box would be awesome too… :)

I agree with the people that said that the core mechanic should really not be changed. I'm a really fan of RPG-ish elements such as equipment and campaign mode, but I do not believe that they fit the game style very well, you can just homebrew campaign rules if you want them.

I think we really need some new events and some new terrain cards. With the terrain cards you'll obviously get new location cards, new missions basically. Keeping in mind that the missions expansion is called Mission Pack 1, we will most certainly get some more.

Same argument goes for Space Marines packs. I do not wish to see all power armour teams, I'm a huge fan of terminators, I play pure terminator armies in Warhammer 40K. I think we'll get a couple more specialised marines like the Techmarine, Deathwing Red Team, but probably not much else in the power armour category.

I don't feel that new teams are really that necessary right now, from a gameplay point of view, but I would like to see some none the less. I play Grey Knights in Warhammer 40K and obviously I would instantly buy a Grey Knights expansion. The problem is if you add chapters like the Grey Knights you need to add their natural enemies as cards too. Adding Daemons and Grey Knights in the same expansion would probably be a pretty big deal, you would also need location, terrain and, possibly, event cards to match the Daemon theme, that's basically another base game release. Still would like to see it happen, but I doubt it.

A Chaos Space Marine kill team set would be great. Some Red Corsairs or Night Lords or something.

For enemies… Daemons of the Warp.
Orks.

Some kind of scoring system would be good, like they have for LOTR LCG, could then have an online tool for sharing scores aswell!

Would like to see Space Wolves faction and new encounter cards too.

I could see an expansion which chances the encounter card and location card, umm and the blip piles which could be used for a Necromunda style game which uses the same mechanics but virtually everything else is changed by then …

I'd really like to see more expansions. More teams, more missions, maybe alternate action cards for existing teams?

a new event deck?

Come on FFG,let's see some more expansions in the New Year:)

Do we think this is likely? Just received a copy as a gift (plus SMP1 and Tyranid expansions), would love to see it continue to grow :-)

I doubt it's very likely. We haven't seen a new Death Angel expansion in a year. It sucks though, because it's a great game.

Hi FFG!

Come on guys, it is time to publish some more print on demand expansions!

We are still waiting for:

1) Death Angel: Mission Pack 2 Expansion ,

2) Death Angel: Space Marine Pack 2 Expansion, and

3) Death Angel: Other?

Hi FFG,

If my voice means anything I vote for next POD expansion.

I think that all people buying previous expansions would put it on their must-have list

Regard, Petr

1. Campaign mode

2. Ultramarines

Still hoping for a new expansion here too. wishfull thinking I know. I have had this game since it came out and I still haven't stopped playing.

space marine pack 2 with captain Raphael, and a venerable dreadnought that requires cards

space marine pack 3 with a tech-marine and an apothecary

mission pack 2 with new rooms, maybe a 0g room where movement gets more complicated or a room that causes radiation poisoning.

ork enemy pack

lots of easy to kill enemies, range attacks.

chaos enemy pack

less enemies, harder to kill, can corrupt current marines.

I know that an event expansion would be hard as the color of the back might not be exactly the same but let's say that the primary event deck is the things that might happen in the Sin of Damnation sapce hulk, lets have a completly new deck for the events that might happen on another space hulk the Judgement of Carrion or whatever.

Plus new mini chapter expansions with 6 stand alone marine. lots of choice there, we still have a lot of choice there ultramarines would be a great next pick.

I believe that it would be safe to say that Death Angel, as a line, is dead. Sadly, the last Terminator has fallen .... :(

I bought this game knowing that FFG has abandoned this title but if I made recommendation for solitaire sci-fi game it would be Death Angel.

Grab it, if it is still possible. It is not LCG. What was released is fully playable.

Just because FFG isn't actively working on it, doesn't really mean it is dead. It is still available to buy and the print on demand system means that FFG could carry the game forever. They just need to put the game, as well as the expansions, on print on demand. This way, the game will never go away.

In terms of expansion, I wish for a Grey Knight reskin, with chaos demons instead of tyrannids. With 4 demon types out of the box, enemies could be widely different strategically.

hello

For me :

Space marine pack with Space wolves / Ultramarines.

Mission packs with more rooms / locations...

Complete the tyranid deck with termaggant, carnifex, red terror

new deck of events

Who can resist to the money call ? :P

Hello. When your at the final location and say you go through the one blip pile do I take from the blip deck and replace the blips stack or do I leave it as is?

Why not hybrid stealers (like genestelaers expansion in good old day) and... Space orks with big guns and taktiks to krush xeno !!
