Well, Bushi Shugenja are suddenly the fashionable thing, aren't they. I suspect that the Centipede will be happy - it gives them access to both of their styles in one fell swoop.
Two in this book and one in the core. Granted, I don't remember the Moshi Bushi School. What was special about it?
I hope to find out soon...but does this truly mean that Asahina Envoy is just Crane Courtier School #4? Is there anything magic about them at all?

Pure Courtier. I was sure we would have gotten the magic Origami guys. but no.

Four in this book. Two of them don't get Invocations, but the Sun Sentinel, Realm Wanderer, Spirit Seeker and Shadowweaver all get both tags. That's almost half of the schools in the book and 4 times as many as all the other books - seems to a sudden spike to me.
The Moshi bushi didn't get a school in previous editions, just a path. And even then, that path led into any other Mantis school. Being able to train your own bushi in clan is a step up.
Any bets on when the first Shosuro PC using this for character art?

Right, I missed the Kitsu and the Shosuro. Thanks, I wonder, is the Shosuro school ability or Rank 6 allow them to travel through shadows? If they are not able to do that, I call merda de boi on the design team.

And then there's the Utaku, who doesn't have the Shugenja tag, but has the Sage one and access to two elements of Invocations.

I am really disappointed.

Yup. I appreciate the concept of 'what do the non-shugenja from shugenja families do?', but the book about magic really wasn't the place to do it!
IMAO, these should have been instead of the Bureaucrat, and you could have put the Kakita Artisans here (as suggested).
Oh, and if I may be so cheeky, what are the clan colours for Centipede?

Well that’s different from the original orange, brown and black... But I’m interested. 😎
Are the new Kaito School archery based like their predecessors?
Will it be possible to know if possible, the blurb/flavor of the new Kitsu school?

So it occurred to me...this is a description for Bushi Shugenja with no shuji access. How exactly are they going about this? And then it hit me...they're Rokugan's Men In Black for spirits.

MIB
KIB theme music on Japanese instruments as two samurai dressed in black with sandogasa tipped just far enough to conceal the top half of their faces walk out of a shrine*

School ability and I believe they have shuji in their curriculum. AFB at the moment
Edited by DaeglanI have a question, they're adding techniques in this one, so other than more invocations/these Inversion abilities they've mentioned, any kiho? Been waiting/hoping for some more kiho since the first book with nothing really added so far. Figure a book about spirits, the celestial order, and all that would be a pretty good candidate to finally add some more.

No kiho in this one. I'm guessing writ of the wild will though
Edited by DaeglanIs possible to know how does the Centipede acquires their invocations? Through their curriculum or their School ability?
Also what’s your take on the inversions?
I'll be picking up my copy on Friday, so I'll be adding these to the Master List when I get my hands on it.
Thanks for the information!
