I haven't read the Kanan book, but the Wookiepedia article says he was stealing IG droids, so Caleb Dune crew for Scum, maybe? Any other background as to what Caleb/Kanan was doing at the time?

Oooo.. And maybe a contraband IG-RM crew? Would need to have a different ability than the Team upgrade for Huge ships.

I'm think for the pheonix cell

1x blade wing/ being repaint

2x awing repaint, possibly the green grey colour

For skystrike

1x red or yellow defender

2x yellow or red interceptor

This, for sure.

Yellow? Don't recall empire using yellow...

Well, I suppose if this were to be a part of a squad pack, I’d be happy with it.

I do sort of wish the “two of” in the pack would be bombers but I’m not thinking so. Likely LNs and/or Interceptors.

I'm more fond of the red trim version. Although, either could be transformed easily with a little paint. 450?cb=20180125011310

Am I alone in wanting an Imperial/Rebel squadron pack to lean away from the 2 & 1 format of the Republic & CIS packs? Both factions have a greater variety of ships they can draw from while retaining the 'theme' of the pack while delivering a better variety of ships to both new and old players.

It made sense to give two Torrents and Vultures in the Republic/CIS packs. The Torrent is intended as a support piece to help shield the Jedi, so having a pair of escorts makes sense. The Vulture is the backbone of the CIS due to being so cheap and cheerful, so again it makes sense to have plenty of them. Stuffing multiple A-wings or TIE Interceptors into the squadpacks, however, doesn't feel right to me. Unless the new pilots these packs add really spice up the platforms, very few Rebel lists would benefit from flying more than one A-wing, while Interceptors suffer the perenial problem of the chassis being balanced around Soontir Fel's very existence. I could see them putting in three different fighters (Rebels getting A, Y and either a B or X wings, Imperials getting Defender, Interceptor &.....something, not certain what would be best) as a quick way giving a new player a wider variety of fighters quickly, while not overloading a veteran player's collection with particular fighters (an Imperial player from 1st edition would likely have at least three Interceptors already, a Rebel collector likely having at least two A-wings etc). It would also make business sense, as both the A-wing and TIE Interceptor have seen 2.0 releases. Putting out a pack which contains two of them, plus extra stuff, would likely impact sales of the standalone packs, especially with the quantity of conversion materials lying around (why buy the stand alone pack, when you can go onto eBay and pay a few bucks for the two unique pilot cards & baseplates?).

3 different ships? I like this!

Imperial = TIE Defender + TIE Interceptor + TIE Bomber (all in yellow or red Rebels-style painting )

Rebel = B-wing (Blade Wing Prototype painting) + A-wing (some painting scheme from the Rebel series) + Y-wing (blue? red? grey?)

B/A/Attack Shuttle, which isn't out in 2e yet.

Only pitfall with the Attack Shuttle is providing value for anyone who purchased the Ghost in 1st ed; just throwing it in without any new pilots would just make it filler, but including it without the conversion kit pilots would be bad for someone new to the game. I think FFG mucked up by not including it in the 2.0 Ghost expansion.

Interesting!

Yeah. That probably should have had all 3 ships, just to cover all the bases.

Honestly, I think B/A/A would be the best thing for a Rebel squadron pack, but the difficulty of newer players to get an Attack Shuttle is kind of an issue.

Is it though? They’re fun for ship diversity but not really a must have.

So long as ships exist in the game, there ought to be a way to get them, or at least a roadmap.

I mean, if folks don't care, gimme the BAA.

They mucked up the Ghost all the way around though I'm not sure leaving one of the shuttle out is one of them. I don't think putting another ship and upping the price even more on the re-print would have been a great idea though. But in my opinion they've done wrong by the VCX in 2nd Edition.

Double post so I will say again that I blame not having properly sorted out change the difficulty and change a maneuver effects triggers and timing on where the Ghost ended up.

Third Defender? Psshhh, lightweight. 😉

For me, I don't need a Fifth Defender. But I WANT to fly Triple Defenders in 2.0 -- even if its just 3 Deltas with no upgrades. Pur-tee Pleeze!

Nostalgia flashback: Remembering Tie Defender + D title + Ion Cannon. 🥰 🥰 🥰 .... Yeah, lets not go back to those crazy shenanigans.

Ah, I loved the rainbow variant... Tractor, Flechette, Ion.

I don’t know if this is OK to just throw out here, but recently I was able to get one by trading some stuff in for store credit at Hobbut.com. Yes it would’ve been way overpriced if I‘d been paying cash, but it ended up being effectively a trade, so it was worth it to me as a way to help trim some fat out of my collection.

... I swear I’m not a corporate shill!! 😝

How big is this A-Wing?! Look at the size of Hera's head!

that is probably a composting error, as all the 3d models are played, so Hera would be animated separately, then pasted in, in other shots it shows her filling the cabin

That’s the A-wing mothership, where do you think all the smaller A-wings come from?

🤣 😂 🤣

Are you sure that they give living birth (mother->child)? Maybe they reproduce by division/segmentation, and its just right before division into 2 normal sized ones?

Yeah reprint strategy of FFG is a bit strange, esp for the Ghost and its shuttles, which is newer canon, and expected to reappear (unlike other stuff from obscure 20year old games where they might decide against).

Give me some new A-wing pilots and preferable points down on the existing non-Jake Rz1 (or other ships like RZ2 up). Although I am covered concerning the assumed colour schemes :)

Yeah, but one of those mild, treatable cancers.

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad it's gone and it shouldn't come back. But contrast the serious cancers of 1e like Nym and Miranda and Ghost/Fenn and unlimited regen R2-D2 and all the pre-nerf BS from Jumpmasters...

I always did like the Sabine/Phoenix A-Wing. My own is out-of-focus, but that blur just obscures the mid-tier paint job.
