Good to go, although Barda might want to pick up one item from her mother's place (somewhere on Great Canyon territory) before leaving the planet.

That reminds me, do the mediafire links have their full backstories/Motivations? I don't like downloading the files, so I hadn't looked, expecting it to all be in the SWSheets.

Barda's background should be identical between the two sources. (I did hers first, as it was more complicated.)

Aleena's background is "still in motion" in general (I didn't get beyond "curious archaeologist" with her), and thus it is also identical between the two sources (i.e., pretty much lacking right now). When I get both the time and inspiration to finish Aleena's background, I'll notify both of you OOC.

An Average Warfare check will identify the ship...

And each character can give me an Average Discipline/Perception check.

Sienna could probably succeed, but she has no clue...

Is that either or both? Or combined? (like Willpower+Perception or Cunning+Discipline)

I was thinking either..

(How would the combined work, now that I'm away from my book?)

The basic question is are they interchangeable checks for the same goal, or two different things.

Combining checks is, I believe, a houserule I came up with. Depending on the circumstance, you take the Characteristic of one skill and the skill ranks of the second.

So when trying to pickpocket, I'd call for a Skulduggery check using Agility, combining Stealth (Agility) and Skulduggery.

When there isn't a clear dividing line like that, I just make it the worst of both (like in two-weapon combat).

In this case, use it as a combination, best of both.

As for the Warfare, go ahead and roll as well, even failure with Advantage will work in this case.

Cadena: Discipline : 2eP+1eA+2eD 1 success, 1 threat

Sienna: Perception : 3eA+2eD 1 success, 3 advantage

The concern isn't failing, it's that Sienna (4eA) would likely succeed, but she wouldn't know about it. Do you still want me to roll?

I'll go ahead and roll for Cadena though, see if anything pops up. Maybe she knows more since she wasn't as wrapped up in certain things: Knowledge (Warfare) : 2eA+2eD 3 failures, 1 advantage

Wow. She definitely doesn't.

These rolls weren't planned, but I saw an opportunity, for me to get the experience and gauge how each character might do with future rolls :D and for the characters to react to what is planned out. 😈

Okay: Knowledge (Warfare) : 4eA+2eD 3 successes
a--.png a-s.png a-a.png a-s-s.png d-th.png d--.png

Results:

Ship? - Cadena has never seen one, but she has heard stories of them. Sienna Has seen images, but not context on the history.

Aleena is very much aware, and receives a Stress (Due to family history perhaps?) Barda is apparently completely ignorant :D

Huh? - Cadena can perceive the Force at work, Receives a Stress (She may not completely trust it due to the appearance of the ship) Sienna can also perceive the Force, but is so enamored she doesn't notice.

Aleena Knows of the method of Manipulation used in the repairs, Stress because she doesn't think it'll help(possibly sees the flaws) Barda Knows about Manipulation(or just that the Force is involved) and like Sienna, is very impressed.

I'll post the description in a bit :D and you can react.

@RuusMarev

Is this Sheathipede the automated spy shuttle variant (with a droid brain, no crew, space for 10 passengers or 100 Encumbrance cargo), or the normal transport shuttle with 4 crew and space for 8 passengers (or 150 Encumbrance cargo)?

The one pilot with passengers variant (Like Rebels)

The bottom picture isn't a Sheathipede, but it will be close enough. The interrior will be about the same condition as the exterior; patched and threadbare seats, controls a mix of various vessels and speeder parts, load straps hanging from the ceiling, maybe even a hammock.

Just to explain my recent IC post: Aleena has Astrogation as a class skill, but has not yet put a rank into it, ditto re Barda and the two Piloting skills.

Unless anyone else wants to grab the pilot and/or astrogator positions?

Heh heh... no.

Sienna has 4 Int, though. If Aleena assists, we can fluff it as Sienna helping even though she is technically the one with the better pool.

If they suddenly have to plot a course while under stress, I'm thinking of that picture on p. 82 of Disciples of Harmony (the Consular sourcebook), but expressed with computers instead. Sienna can be the one reading out the text, while Aleena is desperately trying to translate that information into something that she can input into the navicomputer.

:D

(At least until Aleena gets a rank or two into the skill.)

@Bellona , did you have unfinished business with your clan before they all leave?

It was more of a thought about a cover story for four strangers turning up on Kiev, plus a possible solution for Barda's problem with way too many "home mechanic kits" (the results of crafting which succeeded, but not in the manner for which she'd hoped).

Barda has four Specialist Tool Kits for the Mechanics skill which guarantee +1 automatic Success but weigh a ton (not literally). They'd be great for home use by either people who like DIY or those who just want to look like they do with some fancy gear, and as such could be an excuse for some strangers to be wandering around a non-food market area or other places, looking for buyers - and local news/gossip.

So I'm suggesting that either Barda alone or the party on board the Clunker/Clanker (or whatever the ship will be named) swing by Barda's mother's place in Great Canyon territory, which is where Barda stored those four tool kits, and pick them up. With the kits on board, plus possibly some other things, the group could then pass as traders looking for new markets.

Which might be less eye-catching than four mystery women, two of whom might look similar to Gala (if she is from the white-haired Nightsister bloodlines and has Nightsister facial tattoos).

... Speaking of facial tattoos, maybe we should pick up a disguise kit of some sort before leaving?
