Hand on, I'll take a look at it.

I'd say Hard check for 75 credits, rarity of 3, and 3 hours. Sort of splitting the difference between missiles and grenades. From there you can use Advantage/Triumph to make variants like incendiary missiles.

Profile would be same as an ordinary Micro-Rocket.

Awesome, thanks :D

Actually failed that one. There's 1 of the possible 3 that's wasted.

That one works.

And that one works as well. A shame I wasted an extra 200 Cr there, but oh well.

O_O How many grenades does Naz need? Not to mention carbines...

Seriously though, you might want to get him a grenade launcher. (I'm probably gonna regret that I said that, but oh well. :D )

For now I'm mostly just trying to make the Armory seem used while generating advantages lol. Hard to call it an armory if I don't have any weapons stockpiled in there.

Shhhhhh!! Have you seen our current games? We needs them!!

Can always use them to scavenge parts in the future if need be. Gotta make good use of Utinni! somehow. I'll probably get him a grenade launcher in the future, or someone else can grab them.

I think there may be a misunderstanding regarding how crafting gadgets works. (the understanding could be on my end, so correct me if I'm wrong)

What I gather from the templates is that a Simple Tool (i.e. Toolkit) is the "Right Tool for the Job" and a Specialist Tool (i.e. a Rivet Gun) only adds automatic success, rather than allowing you to make a check with the skill.

That would mean that you have a tool worth 8 encumbrance in your workshop that provides 1s/1a and you also have a Tool Kit worth 4 Encumbrance. For both Mechanics (Outlaw Tech) and Mechanics (Cyber Tech). Come to think of it, that might mean that Maysh'la needs a double-check.

Happy Thanksgiving!

(I actually didn't think to say that until now :P)

This is generally correct I think, yes? The idea was I'm not carrying them around, so they're sitting in there. For Maya, I'm not sure. I have the Encumbrance of the tool kit listed as 1, but I don't remember if I went through the process of reducing the encumbrance for the tools, or if I misread the starting encumbrance for them.

I looked back through and I think it was a mistake. I'd say treat the Tool Kit as 4 Encumbrance and treat the Specialist Tool as 8 Encumbrance, and just say you don't have your specialist tool on you. It would have been back at Vaerk's and you can pick it up when you get back there.

@RuusMarev , are you far enough along in character creation that you'd like to go ahead and try to craft a couple droids starting out? It wouldn't be much, but it'd be a start.

Also, what would be the characters' secondary Mechanics skills?

Looking back at the roll, I definitely have the wrong weight. However, that would put the weight at 5, which Maya has enough encumbrance to haul around.

Ah, whoops. Somehow I missed the "lightweight" part, even though that's what I was looking for.

You'd still need a tool kit on top of that, though.

(which you've already crafted)

Still had the wrong weight, and considering the function of the tools they're no more useful then the regular ones for now, so what you proposed makes sense.

If you don't mind then, can we say the tool kit is lightweight and have the 3x Lightweight I used apply to that, and treat the specialized tools as a workbench instead with the standard 8 encum?

Yup, that's fine.

Alright, fixed it on Maya's sheet, and put a 'Mandalorian Workbench' into her assets.

You still listed it as Encumbrance 5, though.

I've actually been helping the wife all day, occasionally checking in on this post through out the day.... can't wait for the tech source book to come in tomorrow so I can check out this "crafting" stuff :D

Happy Thanksgiving!!

I'm so lost right now, I'm going to have to log onto a computer and go through all of this :D

I have no clue how to craft anything at the moment..

Woops. Fixed.

The droid crafting is pretty interesting. You have to do Crafting (Mechanics) and Programming (Computers). They're pretty expensive though, so if you haven't settled on talents I recommend the 'Deft Maker' talent from Droid Tech to reduce the cost by 50%

Eh, it can wait 'til you've got the book.

Bascially, you assemble materials, pick a template, and make a check. You then spend Advantage/Triumph to add effects to the result.

The book will explain it.

It's basically just skill checks and advantage tables.
