Ah. But Mod ruling against codes. Fair enough.

Still, am interested by what Jabba was trying to achieve. Just need to decide if it was genuine TownHelp or crafty ScumSmoke! Hmmm. Let me reread his whole game.

Nothing to do with codes. Here, read through this giant wall of text until you start talking about Bat Signals. And then please don’t answer the original question no matter what you are, because too much attention is on it now and I’d be essentially asking you to claim.

For now, ##unvote and ##vote @clontroper5 , as the most pressured suspect and likeliest to result in a lynch. I hope to be awake before day’s end to reassess and see what Forty has to say.

Ah! I had totally forgotten about this game! And the BatSignal! And how many metric tonnes of text @EbonHawk and I generate as Scum!

I now understand your request Jabba! Sorry I didn’t pick up on this earlier - I thought you had a Lie Detector of some kind going! Oops! Per your post I shan’t reply but will try to get back on my toes for future games. :)

(I’ve also since evolved my playstyle a little and now worry that things like the BatSignal of old are actually poor play gambits by me that we’re unfair on mods and Scum teams alike but that’s a discussion for another day)

I’m going to ##vote @FortyInRed . Talk more, please. I believe you exhibited a pretty passive scum style in Souls for Sale.

That was largely "no seriously I'm at a family event and my wife keeps yelling at me for checking my phone" situation. She has a fairly recent, pretty strict, "if the kids can't have screen time then we shouldn't be on our devices either" rule, which accounts for my relative silence on the evenings in the last few weeks.

I've provided no evidence of guilt, and just gave you my alibi for last game, take it or leave it. Either we're misreading one another or you're scum.

Clon you have until 11 est or i take you to L1. Dont wanna put you there until you get a chance to speak.

Heading to bed. Looks like the Clon train is growing.

We cannot have another No Lynch. I implore players to treat today as a kind of D1 extended - we need a Lynch for info. @clontroper5 can you defend now please so we have time to go in a different direction should we so choose.

Its just about 11 and I’m not seeing a Clon. Just in case it gets busy here in the next ten minutes

The issues from end of day 1 still remain, although I’m willing to buy the non edit. If he comes through with a compelling defense I’ll take another look.

This puts him at L-1.

OK well, as far as defense goes. I don't seem to have anything specific to defend myself against.

@Lord Preyer seems to think I may be scummarining, which is fair I suppose since I have been rather quiet, but on the other hand literally anyone that has ever played with me should know that I am a rather Quiet player when I play vanilla town, and rather not when I am Scum or a power role.

I haven't had much to say since there has been so little information so far although if I'm the easiest lynch I guess that's valuable still, I don't want to be lynch though haha.

@Madaghmire I'm not really sure what you have against me? Somthing about switching to the LP train when I wanted to make sure a Day-one lynch happened?

There also seems to be a lack of a counter Train... Which I think is a red flag. So make of that what you will but I can assure you that I am not Scum.

I do not like the idea of voting clon, but, should another half hour pass without any action being taken, I shall hammer him in order to prevent a no-lynch scenario. My eye is still on Mad and Cal as the main suspects, though LTD is slowly creeping up there with his limited input.

At the end of D1 I voted for you based on the edit, since I had no other information other than there was an edit, and the following post;

Hmm so I honestly think your town. But that lynch is important... Hmm so due to the fact that you are most likely to be lynched right now!

##vote @Lord Preyer

Yeah lynching someone is important. But “I think you’re town here’s a vote” is just...ugh. So find someone else, if you think he’s town.

I agree with LP’s assertion that theres a scum on his train. If GNips and I are a town v town smokescreen, which I’m willing to sit back on for the day, and Clon is vanilla town then its between forty and jabba.

How do people feel about Jabbawookie? I liked him as a D1 vote also, he has something of a train on now, and he put forward that stupid code ****. LP, any insight on that question he asked you?

Forty has been quiet, and his vote on jabba seemed a little defensive. Thoughts from the gallery?

Well, as stated:

@Bertie Wooster I believe that is hammer.

That's hammer. Please stop posting.

B3-W0 stands up. “Well, that’s settled. Which one of you will perform the kill?”
One of the more judicious members of the crew answers, “Why don’t we all shoot him at the same time with blasters, but one or two of the blasters are secretly non-functioning, shooting a visible laser beam that doesn’t hurt?” Other crew members nod in agreement.
B3-W0 responds, “Does not compute. To use your jargon, ‘What’s the point?’”
“It’s more humane. We can live the rest of our lives pretending we weren’t responsible for the execution.”
“I’m not a human, so I wouldn’t know. But we’ll settle the matter humanely. Give me your blaster.” B3-W0 shoots clontroper5 in the chest.

@clontroper5 is dead. Nothing incriminating or unusual was found on his person; he was a Vanilla Town .

Before we enter the night phase, I'd like to address how I would report attempted kills at the beginning of the day phase:

If doctor or babysitter protects someone at night, and scum tries to kill them but fails, I would announce that an attempt was made but the victim wasn't killed. Presumably the doctor would tell B3-W0 if he saved someone from death, or the babysitter would tell B3-W0 if he saw someone sneaking around.

If jailkeeper protects someone at night and scum tries to kill them but fails, I would not announce it, because the target is in jail, so even though scum wanted to kill them they didn't "go through with it" and B3-W0 wouldn't know.
Likewise, town roleblocker can "block" the night kill from happening before it happens, in which case I would not announce it, because B3-W0 wouldn't know that scum was thinking about killing someone.

If the night kill is successful then none of the above applies. The other roles (Strongman, Tracker, Bus Driver etc.) wouldn't prevent a night kill.

Night phase begins. 24 hours or until all night actions are in.

Minor edit

In the morning, everyone wakes up only to find @FortyInRed covered in blood. He's been stabbed with a handmade wooden weapon. Nothing incriminating or unusual, blah blah blah, FortyInRed was yet another Vanilla Town .

Day 3 begins. You have until 5:00 PM EST, Friday, September 6 (roughly 52.5 hours from now). (Because I have a work conference going on 48 hours from now and don't want to be checking my phone.)

4 votes to hammer.

Hey all, sorry I wasn't as present toward the end. When I checked to vote it was already hammer.

We need to nail a scum today, unless a role is able to guess right and block their kill at night. We are effectively at lylo.

To Mads' points, Forty is cleared by virtue of death as is clon. To me, Jabba doesn't look great, and the code thing made me trust Ghost a bit more. Jabba might be misguided town but could also easily be scum using code as a way to be helpful without actually being helpful. Ghost calling that out and translating built credibility in my book.

Activity hasn't been rampant, but LTD has mostly been quieter than most. I am also leery of Lord Preyer. There were good reasons for going after him Day One and I agree he has appeared more helpful lately, but I can't help but wonder if I hadn't made a huge mistake helping draw the train off him on Day One in favor of Clon's editgate.

For lack of change:

##vote @Madaghmire

Additional reason: he has so far pointed suspicion at 2 of the 3 dead (did he claim to suspect Matt?). His arguments are steadily bringing town down, and his reads are clearly warped, as his suspects turn out to be innocent.

The irony of this post if you manage to get me hung will palpable.

I didn’t suspect Matt, no. I didn’t really suspect forty either. I mentioned him briefly, right before you hammered a town player with almost two hours left in the day. I was wrong about Clontroper, but the same post in which I “pointed suspicion at forty” pretty clearly shows a willingness to back off him if we could find a decent argument on one of the others.

I mean, your reads have been **** too. You keep pointing at me.

Huh? By my clock we had about half an hour, maybe 45 minutes.

Also, you say that, laying the blame on me for hammering a town player (phrased as if we both knew he was town and you were against his lynch) when you were the one pushing said lynch, and I made it clear that I only did it to prevent a no-lynch scenario.

I’d like to point out that Clon and Forty were my prime suspects, and both died in a single day/night cycle. That’s a bad look for scum.

Also, they both voted Preyer, and the D1 result has been the centerpiece of this game. @Lord Preyer , I think it’s time to use your bat signal. Too much rides on your identity right now. (To those of you wondering this is somewhat more reliable than a normal claim because it spans multiple games.) As for the train, I think it was entirely possible it was pure town. Which, if true, would explain why it didn’t finish; in this scenario, Preyer’s scum mate and the people who liked his early call to vote would make a lynch unlikely from the start.

Lastly, I haven’t heard a real objection to my attempt at code beyond the fact that it exists. Do you all want the key? Or the verification of LTD and GNIPs about what I said?

To clarify: pure town with a potentially scummy Preyer.
