@RuusMarev take 2 turns now (end of round 4, beginning of round 5). I'd recommend that @Bellona /Mireska take the 2nd round slot. @MrTInce Ker'see is unconscious but Duchess can take your turn, Jango is going to come down looking for his pistol on Ker'see's person. He'll find the amulet of protection you made out of it and take it, he'll point a side arm at Ker'see to finish her off and maybe at that point we have Duchess jump on him, saving Ker'see. Jango will take to the air at which point @jhh3 /Ethan will be able to take a potshot at him from the enemy sniper nest. I don't know what happens after that. There's a PC slot. If @Bellona /Mireska was on sight she could heal Ker'see, maybe @RuusMarev /Jorin could shoot jango with a b1 blaster carbine, at that point maybe jango plugs Ker'see from the air and flies off, rather than risk continued sniper fire.

Would Jorin be able disable his jetpack with a Lightsaber strike? (or perhaps throwing a group of B1's at him?)

You'd need 3 force pips to throw something man size to star fighter size at jango which with 2 force die is the average result if you take conflict and strain, so about a 50% chance of getting the necessary force pips. You'd be making a ranged attack against jango from probably medium range which would put the difficulty at 2 red 1 purple 4 black, I'm going to flip a dp to keep the pool at 1 lightside, making it 3 red and 4 black. The positive dice in the pool are 2 green and a yellow unless you get boosts from somewhere. If you move to short range before making the attack, it would be 2 red 1 purple 3 black. Damage 10 times the silhouette of the thing you through of 5 for a silhouette 0 object. A single battle droid is sil 1, a minion group is a silhouette 2

:( Somehow, I doubt Jorin could make that work... Would it be the same pool if Jorin used the B1 head he cut off? (I doubt Jango would take Jorin seriously if he simply yelled at him :D ) At least Jorin can distract him long enough for someone stronger to take a shot..

The head would require 1 force pip at short range 2 and medium or longer, dice pool is t Qaeda e same otherwise.

Shooting a blaster carbine at him would be a good distraction.

Despite how many times I read the scar section of the soldier book it rarely makes sense, so I can pick any talent instead of a crit?

Any talent listed on the last 2 pages of forged in battle. That will limit my choice of crit. The difficulty to heal the crit determines the cost to purchase the talent, the more severe the critical is, the less expensive the talent is. Btw I'm ruling that time to go works with force leap if you have the as a maneuver upgrade.

Normal when you get one of the listed crits you can choose from the associated list of talents at t by e appropriate price we're doing this backward

What would a force rating talent set me back?

It's not on the suggested list.

Here are the reward categories and associated talents; I haven't listed the actual critical injuries associated with each scar reward.

  • Impressive Scar - Commanding Presence, Confidence, Intimidating, Steely Nerves, Street Smarts talents
  • Head Trauma - Grit, Hard Headed, Heightened Awareness, Resolve, Sixth Sense
  • What Doesn't Kill Me - Blooded, Confidence, Durable, Rapid Recovery, Second Wind, Toughened
  • Close Call - Defensive Stance, Dodge, Jump Up, Rapid Reaction, Spare Clip, Time to Go

So I take it that the suggestion for Mireska is that she goes to Ker'see, not Ethan?

Sounds like a plan! I'm hoping Jorin can see him..maybe through large lobby windows that have been blown out, due to past battles?

Sure, I'll go with that. Spend a maneuver to pick up a blaster and you can take 2 shots at him, medium range with adversary 3 so looking at your sheet agility 3 with no ranks in ranged geavy the pool is, so

3eA+2eC+1eD+4eS

But you're being passed +5eB on the first shot from @MrTInce /Ker'see

@MrTInce ok I just thot of something narratively cool that works with the plan for you to lose your lightsaber to get you a christophsis crystal.

When jango sees what you did to his post, that he was planning to retrieve, he takes your lightsab er. And in a future session you (or another player, maybe @RuusMarev /jorin or @Bellona /Mireska to make it a bit of a challenge because you/Ker'see @jhh3 /ethan would absolutely murderize jango unless he had cortosis) may have the opportunity to duel against jango where jango is wielding your now saber, and recover it. Since jango has martial artist with 2 ranks of parry and unarmed parry it could be a cool duel.

But with cortosis/beskar maybe you could go up against him in the future. It totally sets up a cool grudge match.

Yeah the jango in beskar lightsaber grudge match seems cool. He might pick up shi-cho knight for more parry.

Sure, sounds cool. What crit did I end up getting?

Did you want any of these

Talents?

@RuusMarev /Jorin: Don't forget to com Mireska and let her know where she's needed.

Rank of Durable seems useful.

sigh.. as expected.. dice gods are not with me...

Hopefully the two shots will still give Jango pause.

I guess that it's time for Mireska to Force Leap towards the action (cursing her leg all the way).

I'll write up something just before Jorin pulls the trigger , and wait on verification from our GM :)

This is assuming that Mireska is heading towards Ker'see:

First Force Leap manoeuvre (+1 Strain for Crippling Blow) ...

Force Leap manoeuvre : 4eF 3 Light Side, 3 Dark Side
f-ls.png f-ds-ds.png f-ls-ls.png f-ds.png

Second Force Leap manoeuvre (+1 Strain for Crippling Blow + 2 Strain for second manoeuvre) ...

Force Leap manoeuvre : 4eF 2 Light Side, 4 Dark Side
f-ds.png f-ds.png f-ds-ds.png f-ls-ls.png

Third Force Leap action to land beside Ker'see ...

Force Leap action : 4eF 6 Light Side
f-ls-ls.png f-ls-ls.png f-ls.png f-ls.png

Quick Draw talent w. lightsabre incidental

Activate lightsabre incidental

Activate PPS incidental

... Ready to use Reflect/Improved Reflect/Circle of Shelter/Guardian of the Republic, and Defence is now 4/4.

Total Strain suffered = 4 Strain (4/17)

(Total Wounds = 0/17)

Does that leave time for Jango to grab Ker'see's lightsabre, or should I find something else for Mireska to do first - like rabbit hop over to Ethan instead and remove a good chunk of his Strain so that that he doesn't keel over at the slightest puff of wind`*?

* I.e., a Threat dice result at an inopportune moment.
