After Padawan and Knight in Rise of the Separatists, what other Jedi specs could we get?

You'd be hard to hit if your GM lets you stack defense abilities: armour with +1/2 defense, parry/reflect up to 5+, Sense (40-50Xp worth), maybe a defensive stance/dodge if your tree has one. That's a LOT of IFs and MAYBEs. And all that XP is not spent on actual RP skills like social, exploration, force powers, etc.

What part of nothing is a sure thing did you not get?
And all of those things stack raw.

What Centre Of Being does best is prevent 4 Advantage turning into a Crit with +30 added to the roll, something the nastiest ranged weapons, vibro weapons, and Lightsabers, can do quite easily.

exactly

I've played quite a bit over the last several years, and a few ranks of Center of Being with Improved and Supreme are pretty awesome.

Its seriously looking like Padawan Knight Niman Master is a solid 4 spec build with Peerless Interception.

As for a Narrative One I'd probably go for something like The Force Binds all Things.

A Signature ability that lets the Jedi see how the Force connects all things together and use the information to their advantage.

interesting idea

For a narrative ability, I like "Jedi Business" which allows the Jedi character to sideline all non-Jedi and make the scene entirely revolve around them. Lightsaber becomes the default combat skill for the scene. Lightsaber can also be used as an interaction skill for the scene.

Kinda like that diplomat ability thatnturns a combat encounter to a social encounter?

How about Fall to the Darkside.

Spend 2 Destiny Points and you immediately turn to the Dark Side in the most contrived stupid way the GM can come up with.

It then gets replaced with Redeem to the light where for a mere 10 strain and a limb you can immediately redeem yourself and be light side again.

Great how this thread was turned bitter for no good reason.

That would be a good one to pattern it on.

My pseudo-houserule is to allow any Jedi character to select two lightsaber form specifications to become career specifications, to bring them up to the full 6 career specs. But I haven't had a chance to test it, so that's why it's still a "pseudo" houserule.

I think there's going to be another 2 specs and another signature ability sometime in the future FFG is consistent in their habits. Maybe council member will be a spec more ranks of active (red) nobody's fool to stack.

Ehhhhh... I mean, I don't know there won't be, but I can say that I'm very dubious.

I agree, they have really hit the main official titles of the Jedi already, anything else can simply be a combination of one Jedi spec and one F&D spec

I mostly agree. The only other place i see us getting them would be in a Kotor book. Which we have no idea if they can even do one. Currently we have one book on the docket that we are aware of....I hope we get an announcement soon. but I dont know that we will. I fully expect a year from The Rise of Skywalker that we will see a sequel trilogy book. Which will also likely cover the Mandalorian.

I guess they could add Grandmaster, with a FR4 requirement, but I can’t see what it would cover that Master doesn’t already do. Then there’s Temple Guard and Archivist, both fairly prominent roles in the Jedi order that could be an interesting addition but they fill specific roles whilst the other Jedi specs are almost generalists where their true focus is only in being the best Jedi you can.

Another Signature Ability would be good, as it stands the current one requires the character to have taken the Knight specialisation (or an out of career F&D spec) to even benefit from most of the upgrades

yeah it is hard to pin down what specs would be iconic enough for the last 2. I can see a couple possibilities that might be good from SWTOR, namely the Sentinel dual wielder and the Shadow stealthy guy. But I could also see your Archivist and Temple Guard as valid additions. I guess it really depends on what era book they added them too or i suppose a career book for Jedi is a possibility. if they did a Jedi Career book i could see bundling all 6 and 2 signature abilities. It is hard to pin down a direction they would go in.

If going for immediate post O66 Jedi, then an in-career Jedi Fugitive or an Inquisitorius Agent represent the two paths forward.

Wouldnt tjat be the dawn of rebellian? Or is the dark time not really covered by that book. I am afb at the momwnt

You can keep cutting eras down as much as you need to. The Clone Wars is 3 years long and got two books. They could do a "Dawn of Rebellion Part II" with stuff from Solo and whatever else they need and pad the crap out of it because FFG follow the ways of Yogurt...

Maybe they'll go really out there and give us specialisations from the Jedi Service Corps.
