= As the Imperials conduct their hapless prisoner to one of the newly-renovated containment cells aboard the Stormcrow, the resort’s concierge slithers into view, blocking their way. “What iss the meaning of thiss?! We were apprissed of a martial demonsstration, to occur outsside, within view. But thiss?! Chassing and sshooting through the clinic’ss corridorss?! Most unsseemly. If you have any further ssafety concernss, pleasse refer them to me, or contact our ssecurity via the commss. Thank you.”

The Inquisitor not at all intimidated steps around the snake and floats the Prisoner on board the stormcrow " We were under attack and you seek to blame us for this disturbance." He shows his saber, " Don't give me a reason to use this."

Somar brings the Phantom around to give chase; the Ys are tough, but he is faster. Another volley, and the lead ship is one hit away from oblivion.

His prey's wingmates continue to attempt to bring down the TIE, but for this time their efforts are all for naught.

As the concierge arrives with his complaints, Den would shove his hands (and pistol) deep into his pockets. He goes to half stand in between the inquisitor and the member of staff. Hopefully he could reduce the chance of dismemberment for the concierge, while trying to avoid getting stabbed himself. "In our defence, your security was either paid to look the other way on this one so we could get shot up, or they missed a whole team of armed operatives coming into your resort. Either way, not a great look. Also, I definitely didn't shoot anyone in a corridor. How about you just walk away and don't make any more hassle for us, and we don't name you in any reports to our higher ups, eh?"

“Doctor Vos shall send for you in the morning, Doctor Taltron, 06:00. No food or alcohol after 21:00. Good day.” The concierge slithers off without further comment, outwardly composed, but leaving a somewhat musky scent in his wake. Left to continue on their way, the task force members are able place the detained sniper into secure holding aboard the Stormcrow, Hawk passes them as they board, heading down the ramp with a missile tube over his shoulder.

Out over the water, the Phantom appears to be holding its own against the three Y-wings that have descended upon it, but it is by no means a fair fight. “Phantom, Phantom. That’s some fancy flying, but you know how this ends. We want your ship, but we will destroy it, if you make us. Eject now. Or better yet, join us? Arming proton torpedoes.”

"Gonna have to find me first, Rebel Scum!" Ral hits the decelerator hard and gets slammed into his flight harness. He then switches on the Phantom's cloaking device. In an instant, he vanishes from the Y's sensors. A quick course correction out of their line of fire, and they speed past him. Just as they pass by at point blank range, Ral drops the cloak and targets the ships. "Tag. You're 'It'."

“He’s not gonna bite. Stay on tar... Wherethefrekdidhego?! I’ve lost him!“ The Y-wings, one still trailing black smoke, continue their attack run... but their target has disappeared from both visuals and scanners!

(Ral successfully disappears from the Y-wings. Threat from their Perception check will add a Setback to their attack next turn, after you decloak.

@Barbaross41 I think Hawk gets his shot with the missile tube this turn, before @bsmith23 starts off the next one?)

Doctor Evon Taltron is summoned to the eye clinic early the next morning, as promised. LtInsp Ostell is permitted to inspect the cybernetics again, to ensure there has been no tampering. Furthermore, there is an adjacent observation room beyond a long transparisteel window, for any escort or security detail deemed prudent for the ISB officer’s surgery. The clinic is no stranger to high end clients, and their security needs, recent events notwithstanding.

Taltron is somewhat alarmed to see an IT series Interrogator Droid hovering above the surgery table. “Relaxx. Your ssuperiorss ssent it to asssisst with, and record the proccedure. The Empire hass taken an acute interesst in my activitiess, of late.”

Doctor Jocinda Vos continues to speak in her soothing lisp, cobalt complexion glistening in the brightly-lit chamber, with only the occasional flash of her sharp fangs. “Beyond the sstandard opticss you would expect from a top cybernetic replaccement, yourss hass been fitted with a retinal sscanner and projector.” (the little ball of terror is hovering closer, extending a needle...) “Alsso, an integrated micro-medissenssory ssuite,” she continues pleasantly, “with which you can monitor pulsse, resspiration, pupil dilation... ...”

The ISB Interrogator would have to wait until after the procedure, if there is anything more to learn, as this is when his world goes fuzzy.. and remains so for some time, until he groggily awakens in a recovery room. The vulture hovering over him resolves into the small black globe of the IT droid, as the meds subside, and his new eye finds its focus. An unsettling awakening, to be sure, but it seems the implant is a success!

Following her cursory pre-op examination of the cybernetic eye, Briar receives a priority coded communique on her datapad:

“Lieutenant-Inspector Ostell. While Doctor Vos is busy with Taltron’s implant, I need you to access her secure files. Focus your search on medical cyberware designed to stabilize the critically wounded, and indeed near-fatal trauma victims. The IT droid will alert you when the operation is nearing completion. You will only have an hour, two at best. Good hunting.

”Also, Agent Veitra has been recalled, removed from the case. She seems to have gotten too close to her subject, possibly compromised. Her task force clearance has been suspended until further notice . If time permits, search the files for any mention of Veitra, or correspondence with her.”

”Good hunting.”

Col.W.Y.

(Briar has been given an assignment, to be completed during Evon’s implant surgery. Two Daunting Computers checks are required (Access and Search), with 3 Advantages (total)/ or Triumph allowing for a third check (secondary mission/Veitra). As usual, Briar’s talents remove the Setbacks that would otherwise be involved, but I will flip Destiny to Upgrade the Difficulty of the initial check.) @Imperial Stormtrooper

No matter how many times he stood beside an IT droid like that, noone wants to wake up to that, hovering over him. He quickly recalled that he had eye surgery and not in fact interrogated by someone. The fuzziness paired with the headache wasn't the most pleasent sensation, fortunately his vision cleared soon though the headache remained for now.

As the medical assistant finished the tedious burocratic process of discharging him, Evon looked into the dim red light within the surgical durasteel case, where his left eye was before. ,,That's a face I need to get used to! It has is perks, I presume. Not with the ladies, oh **** no! But certainly will come handy in questioning." - He is drifting in his thoughts for a while, when the assistant calls him back. ,,You have your priorities set straight Evon! Always just the work..." - said to himself a tiny bit disappointed.

Shortly after the operation starts Briar had enters the office that Doctor Vos has been using. Briar moves to the computer terminal and begins by overriding the access protocols and begins searching. So she did design the collar that Fitzsimmons used. She thought to herself as she dug deeper into to files There's a project for smuggling Wookiees called Railcrawler, and what's this called Chimaera? Seeing that the Chimaera files have heavy encryption, she transfers the files to her datapad as she hears the alert that the surgery is almost done, and moves to finish up.

Dr Jocinda Vos successfully completes the installation of Evon’s cybernetic eye, washes her hands, and grabs her datapad. Notifications silenced during surgery immediately notify her of the data breach in her office. Those still observing would see her moving hurriedly away in the direction of her office, as her assistant sees the patient into the recovery area.

Noting how ineffectual his rifle is against the fighters, Hawk drops it, and grabs a missile tube.firing it at the fleeing BLT-4s. he hits one in the bomb racks, causing it to explode, the blast catching another in its blast. Already smoking, the concussion destabilises it further, sending it into a long, arcing spiral into the water below.

Hale had released Veitra, letting her swim under her own power. They are getting close to the shallows when the Y-Wing starts to come down. Seeing it begin its rapid descent, Hale yells a warning to Veitra, who he realizes has fallen behind him.

The Y-wing lands with a tremendous splash, fragmenting and throwing bits everywhere. An engine flips through the air, landing within twenty feet of Veitra. The shockwave and turbulence from the splashdown hits Hale, turning him around and flipping him over under the waves. He surfaces as quickly as he can and frantically looks around for the Zeltron. Not seeing her, he assumes the worst and, ignoring the dogfight still going on above, he swims quickly towards her last position and swims down to look for her.

After resurfacing a couple times, he finds her, seemingly unconscious. Grabbing the Zeltron securely, he pulls her to the surface and resumes swimming back to shore. "You... just want to... to get close to me... is that it?" He asks sarcastically between gulping breaths of air, not expecting an answer. She groans and manages to open her eyes, then closes them again, mumbling something Hale would like to think is a thank you or an apology, but he guesses it probably wasn't either. More of a "drop dead, but get me to shore first" if he was going to bet on it.

Upon reaching the shallows, he pulls her up into a fireman's carry and slowly wades to the shore. Laying her on the sand, he makes sure she's still breathing before walking a few steps away and flopping down himself, breathing heavily and thoroughly exhausted. "Alright... never want... to... do that again..." He stops panting and sits up, checking himself for injuries. The first thing he notices is the cuts on his hands from heaving his way up onto the boat, but soon also notices the pair of blaster burns on his torso and just how much his shoulder hurts. Oh yeah. I got shot. I forgot about that. Oh my head... I think the Doc's drug is wearing off... I need a nap... And a new uniform...

Realizing that she had tripped an alarm Briar gathers everything she a brought and quickly crosses the office and out the door. Looking around she heads for another office nearby slowing down to appear as if she was about to enter the office she glances over for a second as Vos rounds the corner, showing a casual interest in the new being in the hallway, while not breaking her stride towards the door.

Spying the ISB officer’s distinctive uniform as she hurriedly rounds the corner, Doctor Vos hails the woman: “With me, Inspector, if you please? There has been a security breach in my office, just down the hall.”

It is not necessarily Briar’s duty to assist, much less comply with the Doctor’s authoritative tone... but it might save her from entering a random office unannounced..?

Briar turned towards the Doctor. "Of course doctor." she replied turning back towards the office she had just left. "Do you know the nature of the breach?" she asks trying to sound surprised and curious.

The last of the Y-wings, stinging from the Phantom’s surprise attack, accelerates hard and points its nose upward. Countermeasures spark briefly, then drop uselessly to the water below, obviously compromised by the latest hit. The pilot’s only hope is to escape up into the black vacuum of space, where the topless TIE is unlikely to follow...

(Hawk is up again with the missile tube. Maneuver to Prepare.

@Barbaross41 )

The final blasts from the TIE give the Y massive amounts of damage. It limps upward through the clouds and disappears from sight, but there's no guarantee it will make it to space.

Ral sets out to recover the missing pieces of the Phantom, then meet back up with the task force.

Ral locates the ejected pilot seat, now configured as a jumpspeeder of sorts. Might need to give the daunting and tediously dry technical manual a more thorough read, see if it holds any more surprises..?

There is also a beacon, which leads to a rebel pilot, orange flight suit readily visible. The ejection may have saved the pilot from a fiery death, but the survivor is in poor shape, nevertheless. It is only the self-inflating buoyancy surrounding the white flak vest, that has kept the pilot afloat.

Inside the resort clinic, Doctor Vos does not break stride, quickly reaching her office. “Unauthorized access to a terminal in my office. Did you see anyone else in the corridor? They could still be inside. I came as quickly as I could.”

The sniper, and the Squamatan ringleader from the beach, despair in their respective holding cells aboard the Stormcrow. The other brawlers from the beach are being held in the resort’s own secure lockup, while the gunman Den shot and the downed enemy pilot both remain under guard, in critical care.

Briar reached the door to the office shortly after Doctor Vos, "I didn't see anyone else in this corridor" Briar replied "How long ago did you get the alert?"

Drogos sat in his room meditating waiting to feel the presence of the Doctor once more on the ship before he would start the interrogations.

With a satisfying click Evon inserts the last medical syringe into it's socket. He glances into the mirror of the medbay one last time to check his new eye before leaving. ,,I guess I'll get used to it... sooner or later. Anyway, shouldn't keep the Inquisitor waiting." - and he starts pacing back to the ship - ,,His presence is one thing, but I definitely don't need his attention.... I hope we finish soon. It shouldn't be that problematic. That assassination attempt wasn't too professional even if they were armed properly."

As Evon leaves the medbay he notices a strange man approaching from the opposite direction. He notices because the strange man is quite large and wearing durable work pants and a white short-sleeved shirt under a dark vest covered in patches.

The large man falls into step behind Evon and it takes the good doctor a moment to recognize it as Hale, having never seen him out of uniform before and rarely without a hat or helmet. The stormtrooper rubs a hand down his mohawk and nods to his ally. "Err... lost my uniform. How'd the operation go?"

After taking a closer look, Evon recognizes a couple of the patches: The one over his heart is Banshee Squad's insignia, the other he can identify is a semi-popular glimmik band. You'd have to know what it was in order to recognize the Banshee patch as Imperial, otherwise it blends right in.

Evon snaps out of his thoughts from the friendly touch and turns to the new arrival. ,,Ah, Sgt-Major! Forgive me!" - He quickly assesses the outfit and teases Hale a bit- ,,Shouldn't you be leaving with the band? The Galaxy Tour starts in a week in the Imperial Center!"

,,Just kidding! Thanks for asking, I feel fine, but strange . I still need to get used to it."

,,As I heard you've had an oustanding performance yourself Sergeant! Is it true, you single-handedly drove away that watercraft by boarding it?"

Hale furrows his brow as if in confusion, glances down at the vest, then cranes his neck over his shoulder to look at the back, "Which one, Doc?"

Grinning, he pats the ISB agent on the shoulder, "That might be a bit of an exaggeration, I think they wanted out anyway. I did take a bolt for Lady Pinky and then save her from drowning after a Y-Wing fell on her. Oh, and I took on four squamatans simultaneously, bringing them down with my bare hands." He chuckles, holding up his aforementioned appendages for the doc's inspection. "And then I knocked the last Y-wing out of the sky with a stiff glare."
