That's an odd result. What can I do with the Triumph? I figure he'll recover a strain with the Advantage as he catches his breath.

Hmm... For the Triumph, Crispin really does think the sniper is his, and will behave accordingly.

Edited IC Crispin has moved out from under cover.

Thanks!

What can I do this turn?

@Edgehawk, just to check, is anyone else with Den at the moment? If not he'll try stabilise, if there is he may try and find the sniper.

The Inquisitor has also accessed the balcony, climbing up from outside.

How are you handling talents that can be triggered once per session? I'm considering what to spend this new XP on.

Daunting Athletics can catch up with Evon, chasing after the fleeing sniper. Same goes for Den @Rabobankrider. There is also an A280-CFE (Cassian’s convertible sniper rifle in R1) lying discarded on the balcony.

With the way sessions and encounters tend to drag out in PBPs, I’m generally inclined to treat “once per session” as “once per encounter.”

“Once per encounter” then becomes “Once per sub-encounter or scene.” Honestly, if you don’t abuse it, I’m happy to let people use their talents.

Den Medicine Check: 1eP+2eA+4eD 3 failures, 1 advantage
p--.pnga-a-a.pnga-a.pngd--.pngd-f-f.pngd-f-th.pngd-th.pngIt seems that pretty all that Den can do these days is kill stuff. 😛

There are top notch medical facilities on the premises. You can call it in and hope for the best, but the guy needs help urgently or he is just not going to make it. His best bet now would be for you to call it in, and transport him to the resort med techs, meeting them halfway and relinquishing him to their care. @Rabobankrider

For a Destiny Point, is it possible that Evon researched the facilities map prior the arrival? So maybe I might know which exit he is heading to and cut him off? Perhaps Knowledge or Discipline check to guess his exit and recall a shortcut?

Evon can certainly have spent some time studying the resort’s documented layout. For a Destiny flip, he may have also learned of more recent discoveries made by Briar. It appears the sniper may be heading for a lift that delves well below the levels recorded in resort maps.

edit: For the shortcut, I think I’m just going to have you make an opposed Initiative check (Cool or Vig) versus the fleeing sniper’s, so vs 1eD+2eC. Zero successes is all you need to arrive at the same time, Success = earlier, Failure = later. @Rimsen

Added check

Thanks, I'm taking my chances and flip that DP.

Reaching the elevator: 1eP+2eA+2eC+1eD 1 failure, 1 advantage

The ISB armor adds another advantage to Vigilance checks. Maybe Evon hears that he arrived late and can dive into cover instead of running into laser bolts? I don't know the exact nature of me being late. I can recover strain too, if he just jumped into the elevator without fight.

Evon arrives in view of the lift, just as the sniper enters it. For the 2 Advantage, the lift remains open long enough to give you an opportunity for your next turn: Average Athletics or Coordination can get you inside before the door closes.

Okay. You are able to communicate with and follow Evon, but are 2 Maneuvers behind him.

Hmmm... is it possible for V to like jump to the sniper...? That 13 wounds HURTS XD

@Edgehawk how far is the sniper from V? Can she get up on the boat then pull the sniper’s weapon from his grip to her?

Right now, the sniper is an ally. He just "missed."

The other sniper vamoosed.

Dashing into the elevator: 2eP+2eD 3 successes, 2 threat, 1 Triumph
p-s-s.pngp-tr.pngd-th.pngd-th.png

Ououoh! Can I knockdown him? I imagine, I slide into the elevator, barely missing the closing doors (or scratching me - 2 threats), kicking him down or something along this line.

@Von3679 The sniper is Hawk, on the shuttle’s landing pad above, at Extreme range.

Nice! Yes, Evon makes it inside just in time, and can knock the sniper prone. For the Threats, the sniper has already punched in the code and the doors will be closing just as Drogos @Shlambate is within sight. The lift will be starting its descent when the Inquisitor arrives next turn.

Oh. 😕 thats um. Uh... i’ll just cry with my 13 wounds XD

Ok. I think i’ll get back on the boat, slap on some stimpacks. Will that he an action or manuever?

At this point, the watercraft is taking evasive maneuvers because of the TIE, so it will require an Average Athletics or Coordination check, with 1 Setback (2eD+1eS). This can count as a Maneuver, however, and Veitra can still take further Action.

I'm gonna post this evening IC.

And to put my money where my mouth is, Veitra @Von3679 may use her Jump Up talent to narrate quickly regaining the watercraft’s deck, for a Destiny flip (instead of the check).
