Reach of the Empire OOC

Okay, @Shlambate. The lightsaber disrupts the lift control panel and temporarily halts its operation (it may still be operated from within, but will require additional maneuvering). For the Advantage, the door to lift may cycle open, if you wish.

Yes please, I guess he can't step in.

Unfortunately, the previous Athletics check left Drogos 2 Maneuvers shy of the lift, so no (no more Maneuvers available this turn)- but he can be right at the door when it cycles open.

So it's a Here's Johnny moment then

Cool

@Edgehawk, cool, he'll continue to drag them in that direction.

Apologies in advance if it's me, but whose turn is it? In my head it's Hale starts the next round, but I could have missed things.

You’re up, no worries! The lift has been temporarily disabled by the Inquisitor, who appears when the door just suddenly opens.

Would I be engaged to the Assassin? If so Fearsome should activate. Also the helmet upgrades only intimdating or is it also in conjunction with fearsome checks?

Short range, but I think the helm should Upgrade Fearsome.

Intimidating works when targeted by a Coercion check or when making a Coercion check, and Fearsome falls neatly between the two. May I suggest allowing Intimidating to upgrade Fearsome, with the usual strain cost?

Intimidating is for coercion checks when i am the target or targeting someone, and Fearsome is for Fear checks, they are similar but not wholly the same, but it could work. I just don't remember what the helms upgrade was.

Sounds good to me!

They are distinct, but I can see the one Upgrading the other.

Ok so I have to wait to use it anyway since the assassin is at short range

I think I don't really have the upper hand here, so I just stand up and assume Defensive Stance with my action converted to maneuver.

Hey, folks. Just checking in to say I haven’t abandoned the game. I am camping with my son through next week, and @Rimsen is also away, so I think I’m just going to call this an official hiatus. Look for something late next week, if not sooner. I will check in periodically, so feel free to post, if you have anything for now.

@Rabobankrider @Imperial Stormtrooper @Shlambate @P-47 Thunderbolt @bsmith23 @Rimsen @Barbaross41 @Von3679 Roll call!

I’m taking us out of structured time, with the exception of Ral, and possibly Hawk. @bsmith23 roll initiative. @Barbaross41 roll initiative if you wish to attempt to engage the y-wings. It will be an “impossible” check- formidable, requiring a destiny flip (but without providing an Upgrade).

Briar and Den can be just arriving at the lift scene, during the current dramatic pause. Hale and Veitra are free to head there, or elsewhere, as desired.

Red Five, standing by.

@Edgehawk, I'd like Hale to make an Athletics or Resilience check to see how well he's held up with all the shenanigans he's been up to. Basically, how tired he is. This would be to help me decide where he goes from here (and how quickly he gets there), and also because I think it might be kinda funny. What would be the skill/difficulty/Setback for the check?

Make a Hard Resilience check, Upgraded twice, so versus 1eD+2eC. Despair(s) can be resolved in a “kinda funny” way- you may narrate it as you wish.

Endurance Test: 2eP+2eA+2eC+1eD 0 successes, 1 advantage

Well that's pretty uninteresting.

Guess he won't be going much faster than walking, but he gets back to the beach okay.

@Edgehawk so the Assassin gives up?

The dude’s trapped in an elevator with a frekkin knife, and darth Drogos and his laser sword are blocking his only escape. He’s a freelancer, not a zealot. Surrender seems a more viable option than the alternatives.

Disappointing, well he will be useful to interrogate
