I am forced to assume @Bertie Wooster harbors intentions to launch an attack. Unless he openly denies ownership of forces in dsH, we shall declare war on FUNK this turn.

Perhaps we came off too strongly. We bear no ill will; we just want safety for our own planets.

Perhaps we can come to an agreement? We will not have forces in your systems if you will not have forces in our systems (L, XN, ER). Any ships or squadrons in one of your systems this turn will be withdrawn immediately.

The problem is simple: we have reached a tipping point at which the Knaves may become the dominant power in the sector. As things stand, we cannot simply allow your empire to expand unchecked. Though we are in striking distance of Knave worlds, your war with our allies has ended. We will not launch an assault this turn as we look for a diplomatic solution. Some initial ideas that could be attached to nonaggression pacts:

Selling a planet to us or to a MOFO ally. In the latter case, MOFO can contribute a starting offer of 100 credits in addition to whatever our vode may offer.

Donating a portion of your nearby fleet to our navy. We would accept ~70 pts.

Taking a larger contract for shipbuilding services (for example, a Star Destroyer.) This agreement would hold on both ends through combat involving allies. Our fleet would either withdraw to Mandalorian space or serve as orbital security.

I think you should replace Knaves with the 5th S.A. as they have nearly 5-6 planets by our count

They hold K, V, J (capital) and F. FUNK holds R (capital), E, N and L, with a 323 pt. blockade around X, Preyer's capital. And a force of unknown size in dsH, in addition to (presumably) some defenses around their core worlds.

Yeah I only have 3 planets after I withdraw from F

We don't like any of those ideas. The Mandalorians+Consortium+Syndicate+Berserkers alliance is already strong enough, combining the power of four different peoples. Our alliance is only made up of three (5th Sector, GNIPia, and FUNK).

We tried to make an equal "we won't bother you if you won't bother us" offer, but instead you want another world or a larger navy. And if we don't comply, you'll assault one of our worlds? No can do. We won't comply.

It would be an annoyance, but perhaps the time has come to defend ourselves on our own turf.

Before you commit to declaring war on the FUNK, though, you should know that it isn't our forces in dsH. It looks like you have an enemy who is lying to you.

@BiggsIRL we find ourselves with an excess of credits after our pillaging of Alberta. Would you be open to selling one of your warships to the Consortium?

I'm flexible on the terms and would offer to pay you the cost of the ship, plus travel and a little "thank you bonus" as well.

If others are interested too, let me know?

That changes the equation rather significantly, then. None of our previous offers are relevant anyway, nor shall we declare war. At least for the time being.

@Matt3412 we need to reinforce some of our positions. Expect to see a ping on turn 9 at dsQY. Let me know if you have any concerns?

Sounds good you are free to roam in our space since we are interwoven

On that topic, any interest in a planet switcheroo once you score your VPs this turn?

I'm thinking I give you B, you give me A, and I'll give you the 10 credit difference each turn.

That simplifies logistics for both of us. Thoughts on doing this turn 10 (or later)?

@idjmv I will send my fleet to deep space F/S at the following coordinates: 12554.5546.6671

We will meet you there for pickup of the Ship.

I cannot promise any sale of ships at this time, but I do promise this:

Our allegiance is to our friends. Any infringement on your sovereignty will result in our full support on your behalf, as though it was an assault on us.

I'm going to need it for a few more turns at least do to multiple outstanding VP's I can claim here so yes those terms would be fine eventually

It definitely wasn't us, and we're 99% positive it wasn't the Preyerhold or Berserkers. All of us are in the West part of F'Tarq, and H is as far East as it gets.

@idjmv I have left a Single GF on F, they have orders to give up control of the System as soon as your forces arrive at which point they will disband.

Ok

Turn 9 hyperpings detected at: dsFS, dsWI, V, dsB, F, L, N, C, dsQY, M, G, O, dsCT, ds A, Z.

At specific coordinates in dsFS, the Nordic Beserkers hand over control of an ISD and 4 GF to the 5th Sector Authority.

At planet Far F'Tarq the Lesser the 5th Sector Authority Ground Forces surrender to the Nordic Beserker invasion.

At planet V the Trondi and 5th Sector fleets have met - no fire. The Trondi will retreat.

At planet Xylerquin the FUNK have bombarded the Preyhold Autarchy. One GF destroyed.

PLEASE HOLD

mistake with hyperspace pings

Unless I have missed something, turn 9 should now be complete. Please let me know if I have missed any scout reports or suspected battles.

The Turn 10 public objective is:

I have spent 20 credits and IC on a new University on my Capital planet. 2VP.

This objective represents the last of the public objectives. You must now make your way to TEN victory points using a combination of these 10 public, and your one secret objective.

Please tag me in any post where you claim victory points.
