Inquiry: are all of the signers entering the war?

I do not intend this as a declaration of war against any one specific faction. Rather, this serves as a warning that a hostile action toward one signatory would be viewed as hostile towards all.

Preferably, specify then that it is not retroactive, so that current hostilities are not counted.

3 out of 4 are, and I am not aware of any alliances between you and the consortium. If you do however, it is up to the consortium to decide what to do.

Correct. Bygones are bygones.

I would interpret any attacks going forward as an attack against the group.

This is a conundrum indeed. I've spent the last period trying to determine who I'm now on a line with (allies) and who I'm lining up against (enemies).

Shall I propose a straightforward "here is who I'm allied with" and "here is who I'm fighting" list?

I'll go first:

Here is who I'm allied with (pending details)

@Matt3412 @idjmv @The Jabbawookie

Here is who I am fighting:

<>

If anyone else ( @BiggsIRL, I'm looking at you), wants to join the list of people I'm not actively fighting, please let me know. It doesn't have to be any kind of formal alliance, rather a "let's just not shoot each other" deal.

turns out this is complicated

Yes, until such a time that we both agree upon a mutually-beneficial alternative arrangement. For example you had offered to trade my capital for a world with equivalent IC. In the event that I am able to conquer such a world, I would cede it to you, and we would consider the debt paid. The IC payments would cease and we would move forward all things being equal. Agreed?

If this is agreeable, please let me know what you would like your first (Rebel Alliance) shipment to be!

Note, I'm also open to "averaging" 30 IC a turn if you want to do something like 34 IC one turn and 26 the next.

We have a deal. We would like one MC80CC and one B-wing squadron in four turns, if possible; let us know if we need to find an alternative order.

What I meant was, are you counting our current conflict with the Berserkers as something you will be joining? Or does that not qualify as an old conflict, and hence any attack we make against them will count as a new act of aggression? If the latter, you are essentially volunteering for war against the FUNK, 5th, and us, as we are all currently taking military action against the Berserkers. As the Mandos are sending their aid, we will soon be taking military action against the Mandos as well, but specifically only as they are engaged in the FS sector (we are not attacking each other's home planets), and if the Syndicate joins, as it has implied it will, then do you count our responses to any attacks they might make as acts of aggression to involve you, or will you only react if your allies are on the receiving end of the first attack of a war?

I believe this means @GhostofNobodyInParticular that the current war does not count, and any aid by my allies will not count. And any loss of my allies forces in the general area of FS do not count. But if y'all go out of your way, i.e. attacking core planets and system, then a second war will ensue.

@BiggsIRL does my Scout have permission to continue to planet Z?

@Lord PreyerPreyer, I was unaware of your presence on this planet (Far F'tarq) and I intend to take it, but in honor of the Treaty Which I believe you signed I will forgo invading until you have had an opportunity to respond.

I haven’t been able to play or be online at all this week sorry guys. Work is very intense. Apologies. Last thing I did was ask @LTD to retreat all my forces to my homeworld. Sorry again.

Apparently you still have GF on planet Far F'Tarq. Is it OK with you if clon invades?

Consider it done. Assuming I'm able to reclaim my capital and begin construction on this turn (8), the entire order will be delivered in one batch on turn 11. We can discuss alternative delivery locations closer to batch completion if you like. I may be able to fly the batch to a Mandalorian world in exchange for fuel costs of that's easier.

We have confirmed with the referee that all you "need" to do is withdraw your GF to return C'nada to us.

How do you want to handle the security situation in orbit?

Personally I'd feel better if you were able to provide orbital security for this turn (8).

I'm confirming with @LTD, but I do not believe this would impact your order

Though we are unsure whether it will be accepted, MOFO has an offer to make. Long has it been that invaded assimilate with invaders to form a stronger whole. And a core tenet of our culture is our willingness to accept anyone into our ranks. Join us, and become an admiral in our empire. Rather than face destruction, your forces will be part of our navy, and upon redistributing our ships we will give you a fleet to command. Your culture of drink, violence and sport commands our respect; we would work with such values when possible.

We would rather careen into the boards on our skates than on our knees.

Well, looks like we won't get around to washing our gear now. Enjoy finding out scattered around our ruined and strip mined world.

Whatever happened to these good old days?

Consortium, we're surprised that you're so willing to ally with those who have wounded you the deepest.

In the ancient and holy sport of h'ckey, this is known as "chirping" - generally meaningless babble meant to distract, confuse, or failing all else, humor your opponent.

@The Jabbawookie the referee has clarified for me that I will not be able to begin on your order until next turn (9). This delays delivery until turn 12. Do you wish to change your order?

No, that’s perfectly alright, thank you.

Yes. Can my scout continue further into your space?

(Guys, I am going to be a bit incommunicado for most of today - at a funeral. Will be on for a bit tonight to respond to things.

Not a great weekend.)

Man that sucks. Some times I wish we could punch life in the face. Hard. Very, very hard.

Yes You may explore K and V.

@Bertie Wooster of course. Sorry I couldn’t play. Being overwhelmed by work at a time when trying to learn a new game wasn’t fun for me and wasn’t cool for you guys. Sorry again.

@BiggsIRL am so sorry for your loss Biggs. Hope you’re bearing up.
