Warlords of the F'Tarq Sector - IC - players only please

By LTD, in Star Wars: Armada Off-Topic

@Matt3412 if your forces will assist us in holding C'nada, we will assist you in winning any orbital battle over Toronto.

We know your people crave more territory. Let us strengthen our borders and our future in this galaxy. Any credits the Consortium can offer pale in contrast to the enduring reward of a planet.

So I don't have the Industrial capacity to continue suffering losses like i just did, My fleet will continue to press where it can but I may be forced to withdraw soon

Understood. I'm pretty sure now S is their Capital. I wish I could soften up the target for you to have another go at it, but we don't have the capacity for that either.

Thanks for your efforts.

@Matt3412 we will give you Alberta in exchange for your help in our war against the Mandos.

It's yours, next turn. We will just walk away and leave it to you. We will even leave a keg for you.

How's that for easy expansion?

The Overcouncil understands this is a 15-20 turn delay, but what is the cause, and why such a lengthy yet specific duration? If you are seizing a completed ship for the FUNK war effort, we would like to request a 15% discount/115% refund due to a breach of contract.

Our apologies. It is, as you say, more useful to our war effort than the credits would be.

We'll go with the 115% refund. 48 credits, then. The customer is always right.

Wonderful. We bear no ill will over your decision and hope to do further business with you at another time.

{In the middle of Deep Space - a Hammerhead Corvette pops out of hyperspace. Minutes later another, heavily damaged one, jumps out nearby.}

The Commander Maiya Almor paced pensively on the bridge of Tron'di's Promise . The plan had been to meet here, in the event something happened. The Hazard hadn't had any contact since jumping into Ava F'Tarq, and now here it was. Intact, or at least intact enough that it's hyperspace drive got it here.

"Incoming transmission, ma'am." The comms officer waved her over. "The signal is weak, but it's coming in over one of our older starfighter channels." She moved down to his post to listen in. A human voice came through, audio only, and quite distorted:

"....attacked by Consortium forces at Ava F'Tarq. Commander Randal, Lt Rees, Lt Y'lar KIA. 3rd Mate, Lt Eckert with command of the ship. Please respond."

"Can you broadcast me, response frequency?" The comms officer nodded. "Greetings from Tron'di's Promise , Hazard . What is your current status?"

A moment passed, then the voice picked up once more. "Bridge damaged, vented atmosphere into space. Running ship from engineering. Shields, weapons, thrusters, hyperdrive online. Hyperspace Comms destroyed, local comms offline... One of the cooks was taking a Starfighter mechanics class. Got an old Z-95 comms system functional. We're intact, but not much good in a fight."

Commander Almor frowned, the ship wasn't any good for diplomacy in that shape. "Understood, your mission is scrubbed. Return to Pen'tok for debriefing." She turned to the comms officer. "Patch me through to General Tron'di, he needs to know what's been happening."

@clontroper5

Didn't see your scout at Pen'tok. Hope everything is okay. Our scout will arrive at J this coming cycle. Expect Commander Almor on the Tron'di's Promise .

{Broadcast to all F'Tarq Sector}

An old Duros wearing the uniform of a General is seated in the command chair of a ship.

Attention gentlebeings of the Sector: War and strife has enveloped this community of planets. What began as a peaceful transition of power from the Empire to Governors, duly appointed by the Crown-Prince himself, has turned into blood shed as those who should be Governors have declared themselves Warlords instead. The Consortium of C'anada's paranoia has caused them to attack the ships of their allies. Meanwhile, the Manalorians have moved on the Consortium's very capital! Elsewhere, the Berzerkers fight Preyorhold and the 5th Sector Fleet. It is possible other battles exist outside of our knowledge.

This is unfortunate. We cannot sit idly by while war and strife hurt those people the Crown-Prince has sworn to protect. Therefor, I am personally leading an expedition to Ava F'Tarq, seat of power in this sector, to secure it on behalf of the Consortium until such a time as their conflict with the Mandalorians is over and they can safely govern it once more. At this time, we will make the necessary preparations to make the Crown-Prince the official King of the F'Tarq sector, as was done traditionally in days of old.

Let news of the restoration of the monarchy encourage any of those engaged in conflict to seek a more peaceful remedy.

{Broadcast on an old military frequency}

The helmeted figure of Mandalore the Fearless sits on a wooden throne. Firelight reflected in the visor stands in contrast with the dull gray clouds outside.

"Su'cuy'gar, General Tron'di. I hope you are well, and am sorry for the loss of Commander Randal. He was, by all accounts, Mandokarla."

The figure pauses. " However, I'm here to talk about my war. Although we know the Irregulars to be generous by nature, some of these... governmental appointments are clear compromises of necessity. In these lawless times, nothing strengthens a claim to a world like boots on the ground. And this is a golden opportunity for you to strengthen your claim to Ava F'tarq ." A muffled explosion sounds in the background, followed by raucous laughter. Sparing a brief glance to one side, the warrior continues.

"Should we fall to the Consortium, you've left the world in the weak hands of a shuk'la postwar people. Or the Governmental Ghosts might decide to deal themselves in when the dust settles, as they've made their own claim. Or possibly the Consortium gives Ava F'tarq to a third party as a bartering chip. Any claim becomes tenuous in a power vacuum. But if you support us in our war, the future of the world becomes very clear. The Consortium is annihilated. Ava F'Tarq is yours, and stays yours, because you have allies ready to help you defend it. If you want peace, General, it always comes eventually. But if you want to rebuild a monarchy... the spoils seldom go to those on the sidelines. We await your decision." Lord Mandalore leans back in his chair.

" Ret'urcye mhi ."

@GhostofNobodyInParticular The Mandalorian Overcouncil, First Order wishes to negotiate a nonaggression pact with the Governmental Ghosts of Gnippia, as we are neighbors.

We would like that as well. We have no interest in fighting the Mandalorians.

We suggest an agreement to neither fire upon each other nor visit each other's planets except with express permission granted 2 turns in advance. We will not join any allies in war against you, and you likewise will not join any allies in war against us.

What are your thoughts as to the Mando-Consortium war?

Troubling. We are thankful that they seek non-aggression with us, but conflict so close to our borders is still worrisome. It is a shame we cannot live in harmony, but history has shown that that is impossible when a nation can no longer sustain itself with what it has.

@Matt3412 heads up that a fleet will be passing through dsB next turn.

@BiggsIRL friend. I hope that you trust that the actions over Alberta were a horrific accident. We did not know you were visiting so soon and had not issued the "no shoot" order (it was planned for next turn). This was an oversight that we deeply regret.

Please do remember the peaceful history our people have shared up till that moment.

Please also note that we are the victims in this conflict. We have been careful not to invade any sentient (eg non AI) player's world's and have adjusted our plans accordingly. We seek peace.

We regretfully ask for your assistance against the Mandos, knowing full well that we do not deserve it. Any assistance you can provide is greatly appreciated.

Please hold off on advancing to Alberta at this time as I have already offered it to another Friend. While I am willing to cede this planet for an ally, I would hate for two such allies to advance on the planet simultaneously and attack each other in my absence.

We will take Alberta this turn and use it as outpost to defend against the vultures from the North,

We cannot intervene with your war with the mados,

In case that refers to me, rest assures that for as long as Alberta is occupied by a faction not at war with me, I shall lay aside my claim.

I haven't received a Scout report yet

GNIPians, our intelligence tells us Suomi is the Berserkers' Capital, so it should have good IC. Probably lots of GF by now. Expect at least 136 points of ships and squadrons.

Understood. We wish no bloodshed to you, brother, and will not resist your move on Alberta this turn.

We ask only that you think of us as friends and continue to honor our previous "no shoot" agreement until at least turn 12.
