Kel, that’s another 1 dmg fr u

Hello everyone

Just a quick note to let you all know that I am withdrawing from this game. Good luck and may the dice gods bless your rolls!

Once again, I’m really sorry guys... I’m still a pretty new gm and I just struggle to make time for this game... I’m really really sorry...

Are you taking off points for armor, just curious.

Think unfortunately you should shelve the game till you have a freer schedule @player3333902

Yeah, I think I might have to do that... I’m really sorry everyone... will you all be interested in continuing the game in the hopefully near future?

Depends on what's going on in my life, but sure.

Hi, so I think my schedule seems to be slightly better now, but I think I’m not experienced enough to be a gm yet, so I’m wondering if anyone wishes to volunteer to be gm to keep the game going?

I personally don't think I've got the experience to GM either, but I'm more than willing to continue playing.

I have tried GMing in person and hated it so I think by pbp it would be 1000x worse.

If I wasn't gm'ing the other games I am (4 pbp's and 3 in person) I'd be happy to gm. Unfortunately I don't have the time, but I'm happy to still play.

And dammit, you deserve a chance to play, perhaps more than anyone else on this forum...

I'm tempted to take the reins, here, if you're interested? I like the idea, and the characters, but might reduce the scale of the concept- think smaller ship with fewer underlings, where your officers would be justified in taking a more hands-on role in operations.

Any takers? @Rabobankrider @SithArissa @btmaja @player3333902

If you're all up for it, I might keep the party at just the four of you, to start at least. This will be my first foray into GMing in thirty years (except for some solo adventures I've run for my son), so... we'll see. I was never a great GM, and ultimately relinquished that task to better capable hands. I think the PBP format may actually mitigate some of my failings, and allow me to help tell a story that we can all have fun with. What do you think?

Do you have a character concept in mind? Assuming the other active players are also interested, we currently have a Commodore, a Commando, and an Analyst.

I don't have nearly the time I assumed I had, so I'll bow out. Have fun guys!

Apologies for not including you in the post above- it was not my intent to exclude anyone that was still actively interested in the campaign. If you can find the time, you are certainly welcome.

@Edgehawk , I'm up for that yeah. We could do maybe like an SAS/GSG 9 set up. Counter insurgency, black ops, all the good stuff. Small squads of elite imperials sent on dangerous missions to protect the empire from crime lords, rebels and pirates.

If we're scaling it down I'd like to change my concept a little bit, swap out some gear etc. Maybe instead of a stormtrooper, I'd go perhaps a former private security type. Someone who can bring the muscle where needed but without the same kind of military background. I think that may be an interesting way to go.

ADZ-Class Patrol Destroyer. Basically, the smallest capital ships in the fleet.

Den would work fine as-is, with a small contingent of storm troopers, or you may come up with something different. I was planning to keep the military basis of the campaign, though, just on a smaller scale. @Rabobankrider

Ah that's fine then, I'll leave his concept alone, looking forward to playing him. :)

Hmmmm... as to a char, im thinkin of makin a shadowtrooper. I guess following the rules i set bfr, he wld be a stormtrooper first? I’m looking into becomin one of the specialised stormtrooper units, eg deathtrooper, shadow trooper. Or a unit smth like iden versio

Death trooper, or even Shadow trooper, would be fine. What Spec were you looking at? There could be an ISB or loyalty officer aboard, whom you could be attached to. If @SithArissa is still onboard, she could be working on some sort of prototype stealth armor for the IDMR.

Everyone: The Adz-class destroyer is only 150m long, and is optimized to operate with minimal crew. It can carry 6 vehicles. I'm going to say there is a flight of 3 Ties, and approve Cani's "Zalaaca" walker, leaving 2 vehicles (Sil 3 or less) to be decided upon.

@SithArissa Come up with a non-weapon improvement or modification for the walker that you are working on.

Universal Spec: Imperial Cadet fits quite nicely, but if another would fit any of your concepts better, that would also be acceptable. And give yourselves 30 XP post-creation (spent on anything but characteristics, but if you choose to obtain a 3rd rank in a skill, please limit it to a single skill)- to better represent the Empire.

I’ll look thru the aor and eote specs to c wat wld be good fr a death/shadow trooper, still decidin on which i shd be.

Settled on death trooper. Given that their more like spec ops like seals, i’m thinking probably smth like infiltrator, commando?

Oh. Just wonderin if u guys wld want to add some spice by having inquisitors or smth along wif us? Either ocs or npcs?

Edited by player3333902

Hmmm. Looking at infiltrator, commando, bodyguard and merc soldier. From what i’m reading and rmb abt deathtroopers, they r bodyguards and spec ops, who r skilled in black op missions, like assassination, infiltration etc(abit like the republic commandos).

If my trooper is assigned to a officer, i think i’ll probably take bodyguard as that’s probably the troopers role. Unless i’ll be on the frontlines too?

I saw your other post. An inquisitor acolyte would be a possibility.

edit: if you still go with deathtrooper, Vanguard and even Instructor also make viable bodyguards.
