I feel like I could write my own analysis of my match up with Zamalekite...

I think this match-up is going to be tough for Mhd. One thing that wasn't mentioned in the write-up that I think will be critical is Squall on Moose's Quasar. That fact, combined with going 1st and Mhd not having Intel, means that Moose is going to be able to throw in Mauler where he's going to do most harm and, together with Valen, tie up Mhd's squads into bunches so they can't concentrate fire. Maarek and Morna can then do what they want and pick off targets in priority order. I think the squad fight will be over pretty quick.

A lot of attention is given to Yavaris and Demolisher but I actually think Squall is one the best titles in the game. So powerful for an alpha strike - especially with slower ships like Morna - and gives nuisance squads like Mauler and Ciena incredible reach to get in where they can be most disruptive. Mhd's ships don't have much in the way of flak so hiding with the ships isn't going to help much either. That's the strategy I used to beat @BrobaFett 's 2-ship in the Vassal Autumn Tourney but only because Broba had go for a big win to make the cut. Starting at level-pegging I don't think I'd have been able to do that.

All comments above are obviously purely based on the list match-up and I'm not making any call on the skill of either player :) - but if Mhd can pull off a win here I'll be very impressed!

I'm very interested to see what you think my chances of keeping the last Nebulon B and Pelta in the tournament around a bit longer are :)
