The trailer probably focused of the first 1/2 of the Season, saving spoilers of the second half.

There were unmistakable interior shots of a Star Destroyer in some Moff Gideon pictures.

As for the character she's playing I've read speculation that she might be playing Sabine Wren.

I am not sure about that, for 2 seasons:

- We have never seen Sabine being dressed with a cloak

- In the trailer, when you see Sasha Banks, the mandalorian armourer is decribing the jedis.

I WISH SO MUCH to see Sabine allied with Ahsoka and Bo-Katan in this serie. But I don't expect it, to do not be disappointed

That would be cool! It feels much more convincing when the action actor/actress has some background for it (like Gina Carano).

Yeah, I don't think this is Sabine. I think this is either a force religion type, or maybe someone who's been trained by a survivor of the Jedi order (she seems unlikely to have been alive during the Clone Wars based on her appearance). Possibly some kind of force use outside of Jedi/Sith as well (like Nightsisters but different). But most likely because of the voice-over, she's related to Jedi in some way. Or it's a deliberate misdirection, which would be annoying.

@CaptainJaguarShark the false rumor came from “Bounding Into Comics” which pulls it source from YouTubers who themselves want to generate views.

They acfually asked me to “correspond” for them a year ago (I assumed it was a blind group message) and I took a look at their track record and I did not even politely reply back.

A longtime friend at Variety is one of my main go to sources. Defiantly not true.

In interviews he seems to be gracious and does not project that kind of ego at all.

When he was asked to come on set the first time he thought it was for some sort of cameo and had no idea it was for the lead role.

I think he gets “The Man with No Name” imagery and feel of the series.

Ahsoka's Force FX lightsaber certainly looks like their using Rosario Dawson's likeness for the character image.

The rumours around Pedro Pascal keep on rumbling on. I just don't see them as being anywhere near accurate, as they all seem to paint him as causing drama behind the scenes.

I can see him just being required to do the voice work for the character while another actor is inside the costume, but only due to the pandemic. IIRC, most of the filming for the 2nd season was done before lockdown started, so maybe they had another actor in the costume for reshoots / additional scenes while Pedro did studio work for the voice? I'm sure we'll find out the truth eventually.

Where there is smoke there is usually some fire. It could all be bunk, but actors tend to have pretty big egos. Maybe Pedro is starting to not like being behind the mask and wants his face on the screen.

Sometimes it’s just someone hiding in the bushes with a fog machine.. not all actors have big egos believe it or not.

According to the newly dropped fact sheet on The Mandalorian, Season 2 episodes will drop every Friday (no doubling up for any week).
