Tis’ but a scratch
Best episode yet. Fantastic stuff. Really drew the threads of the series together perfectly.
Quality of Imperial troops was redeemed when we found out what these same troopers did to the Mandalorian Covert.
I cannot wait for the search for Yoda’s homeworld next season. I’m glad we have a continuing villain in Moff Gideon.
Edited by ForrestoI pissed myself laughing at the scout troopers. That scene was amazing.

We need WAAAAAAAY more of that!
I reckon they might have survived as well, at least the one with a broken arm.

It was awesome until they tried to shoot the can... it was very much a *groan* moment to me. The gag is pretty worn out. What would have been much funnier is if he nails it on the first shot and say "Why do Stormtroopers make it look so hard?" Of course your average person would be like but aren't they Stormtroopers... Anyway I liked the scene but I didn't think the "we can't shoot a can 10 feet from us" bit landed.

Eh.... but I want to see it though. That's a major problem with Star Wars in general. The Empire does all this fighting and winning off screen most of the time. Maybe it took 200 Stormtroopers to kill the 30 or so Mandalorians, but I still want to see the Empire in action from time to time actually being big, bad, and scary. Probably my biggest gripe with the finale is the plot armor being incredibly thick, thicker than previously and IG-11 being too much of an "I-win" button. Almost makes it a plot hole for the entire franchise. If they can make droids this powerful and efficient at ground combat then why waste time training a platoon of troopers? Surely one droid is cheaper than a whole platoon to train and outfit. I am kind of glad he exploded, even if he was cool to watch on screen.
It was an okay episode but I did find it way too predictable. Make Death Troopers Great Again.
Season 2 confirmed.

@TasteTheRainbow that pic reminded me of this.
For those of us a certain age, “Mandalorians aren't a race, they are a Creed .”

See, I actually liked that bit. Because they're clearly not bad shots - they took out Quill (?). And the one is clearly dis-satisfied with his blaster when he brings it to his ear and shakes it, and we hear it rattle.
If anything, that scene showed, to me, that Imperials might be dangerous, but their gear is consistently mass-produced, and cheaply done. Like, their gear might be dangerous if maintained, but if they don't spend the time doing so, it can cut down how dangerous they are.
Like. I'd rather have seen a scene like that, where it shows that their blasters need some serious recalibration, rather than one that makes fun of Stormtroopers in a tongue-in-cheek, 4th wall stretching fashion.
When IG-11 showed up with no blasters I honestly thought this guy was about to get his head pulled off (partly off screen, you would just see IG-11 grip his helmet, hear a ‘SNAP’, and his head would hit the ground).
And seeing this the second Scout Trooper would faint.
