What makes you or Aris think Rei’s a girl? You can’t see Rei’s body because of the cloak, and Rei’s voice could be anything from a young woman’s to a teenage boy’s (think Rukia Kuchiki from Bleach or Jim Hawking from Outlaw Star ).

For me, there's a long list of statements that together strongly hint at female, and Aris doesn't think Rei is a teenage boy, I haven't seen either of those things you're referring to and if Rei turns out to be a teenage boy with an unusually high pitched voice then "his" gender must commonly be mistaken for female which "he" is used to and actively encouraging by using the cloak to hide what would be the only distinguishing feature of "his" armor.

@Tramp Graphics , it's not in reality all that important. Aris could have just have guessed. This will not be a sticking point, especially as you're going to do the 'big face reveal'.

Given that this is the first time I’ve mentioned anything about the quality or pitch of Rei’s voice, other than Rei being “ young ”, it’s an interesting assumption to make. And, for the record, neither of the two characters I mentioned have particularly “high” pitch voices. I’m talking low Alto or contra-Alto here, not high Alto or Soprano. It’s not particularly “feminine” or “masculine”. It’s rather androgynous .

That’s just it, his statement, whether true or not, is very much like Homer Simpson, after watching ESB, going and spoiling Vader’s revelation to Luke for the people going in to see the movie. It potentially ruins the surprise.

@Tramp Graphics , to be blunt, I doubt anyone cares ooc about the gender/sex of one of your characters. I suspect that most people who are actually interested read your swsheet. It's not exactly a closely guarded secret ooc, Ic I also doubt it because they met this person about a minute ago. Just drop it and play the game.

To answer your questions.. the first one was an obobviously male character being played by a female actor who purposefully deepened her voice at times for the role. The second was an obviously effeminate and likely female character (gender and sex could be different for the character) being played by a female actor. Distinguishing gender from voices is not nearly as hard as you think it is. That you described it as hard to distinguish logically implies it would be unusually high pitched/effeminate for a teenage boy, I gathered that from your statement.

And there is just so much wrong with you comparing this to Darth Vader being Luke's father but I'm not going to get into it.

As I say, it is not important. I do not want to see it brought up again, or I will have to bring back the repercussions (which seems to be the easiest way to deal with these debates).

@Jonas Shaaf , I do't believe that I've seen your response to the computers check (average I think I said).

Quick reminder about what still needs doing guys:

@Tramp Graphics , you're supposed to be doing some character reveal for your Padawan.

@Jonas Shaaf and @EliasWindrider , currently you are the only link for @AtariAssasin 's and @Tramp Graphics 's new characters, so I will need you two to link them into the group.

@Tramp Graphics you have a final post you can make if you want before the vision fades.

@Jonas Shaaf , yu have the computer check for your Padawan.

Not until I have the renders done. I'm working on some close-ups right now. Please finish with Arvel first. As for Korath, I'll have to do that tomorrow.

Can I see the old render with Elias in it? Please. After the new one is posted of course.

All you’d see is the back of his head.

Then why are you re-rendering?

@Tramp Graphics , I appreciate the effort put into the art, but we have 4 characters tied into the bar rp (the majority of the group not including my characters), and so I cannot pause things so you can finish your art. Please respond to the ic post in the next day or so.

I’ll be doing so tomorrow, when I get to the library. I’m on my phone now.

Question: Can Rei recognize any clan or house markings on the thugs’ armor? And if so, what clan/house.

Edited by Tramp Graphics

@Jonas Shaaf , you find some evidence of the others, but not much. There is an article on the holo-terminal about an explosion during a battle between deathwatch supporters and some resistance members on the planet. There is a blurred piece of footage attached showing a violent firefight. It's tricky, but you think you recognise a couple of the rebellion combatants from Gorse. There is no specific mention of who, but there were three deaths in the battle.

@Rabobankrider Korath did tell Hacker where he was going before leaving for the hospital. Remember?

I know. Korath also said he'd only be a few hours, and as you described this npc to me, he seems pretty impatient.

Just making sure. 😎

@Rabobankrider , quick question. Can Rei recognize any clan or house markings on The thugs’ armor? And if so, to which clan or house do they belong to?

An average lore or warfare check will reveal that.

Ok, this is not a clan that you recognise. As far as Rei knows they could be members of the supercommando's, followers of the late Bo-Katan.

Maybe, but unlikely. Bokatan was a member of House Kryse, a very prominent and powerful house that ruled Mandalore during the Clone Wars, and again under her leadership. Every Mandalorian worth his or her armor would recognize their crest easily. Bokatan’s followers would bear that emblem. The same if it were another of the major houses, such as House Viszla, Ordo, Fett, Saxon (who lead the original Imperial Super-Commandos) or Skirata. So, if it’s an unrecognizable crest, or simply one Rei doesn’t recognize, it’d have to be a smaller house, independent clan, or an outlaw organization. Rei’s going to ask the bartender. Something doesn’t feel right.

Well, that's what disadvantage gets you. Misinformation and uncertainty. Not to mention many clans will have served during her time as Mandalore, so it is perfectly feasible.
