I don't own any Apple products. Ask advanced users of Apple products how do they install unsigned IPA files. As I remember, "Cydia Impactor" application was used for this.

Any direction for a Linux user? There seems to be a million ways to install linux programs that are dependant on the program itself and I can't find a readme file in the zip.

I tried to play Fly Casual on Linux Mint - as I remember, it was launched successfully by simple double-click of mouse.

There are a lot of variants of Linux, maybe some additional steps are needed to run ".x86_64" file in your case. Search for help in community of your variant of Linux.

Hello everyone. Is there a resource someone can point me to to help install fly casual on linux? I have a new chromebook and have no idea what I'm doing.

I know this isn't helping much, but if you're Chromebook is ARM-based, it won't work. I tried getting it working on my Samsung Chromebook Plus and the fact that Unity doesn't support that architecture for Linux meant it wouldn't work.

There might be a way with the Android APK if your CB supports Android apps, but you'll have to jump through some hoops to be allowed to install it (last time I checked, you had to be in developer mode to install non-Play store apps). Here's a link about doing the APK route - https://beebom.com/how-to-install-android-apps-from-apk-files-on-chromebook/

Gas clouds are back! 💓

The new favorite lists feature is amazeballs!

I'd like to report that I just had a game where despite clearly bumping, the enemy was considered to not be range 0 when engagement happened. It was still able to fire on the ship it bumped, and poor G4R-G0R didn't hand out any crits.

Also, clicking "always" for Scum Han's defensive extra die isn't skipping future "do you want to roll another die" dialogues.

Currently a ship going off the table with Pattern Analyzer is destroyed instantaneously.

However Pattern Analyzer should trigger before you resolve if the ship has fled, as the step for PA is before resolving the manoeuvres difficulty step, which is the last stage in completing a manoeuvre. As you don't check to see if a ship is off the board until they fully complete a manoeuvre PA may enable you to get back on the board.

as per the rule reference:

So the implementation in fly casual is correct. the point that matters is the second one.

Just to cover it in brief, currently the rule is that you count as fleeing the battle field " after" it execute a maneuver.

A maneuver is a type of move that a ship can execute. Each maneuver has three components: speed (a number 0–5), difficulty (red, white, or blue), and bearing (an arrow or other symbol). Each bearing is further defined with a direction. A ship can execute a maneuver by resolving the following steps in order:

1. Maneuver Ship: During this step, the ship moves using the matching template.

a. Take the template that matches the maneuver from the supply.

b. Set the template between the ship’s front guides (so that it is flush against the base).

c. Pick up and place the ship at the opposite end of the template and slide the rear guides of the ship into the template.

d. Return the template to the supply.

2. Check Difficulty: During this step, if the maneuver is red, the ship gains one stress token; if the maneuver is blue, the ship removes one stress token and one strain token and one deplete token.

PA triggers before the completion of step 2. Therefore the ship has yet to complete the maneuver and is not considered fleeing the battle field, not triggering point 2 in the flee steps.

Arguably this might not be the intended effect but, rules as written, is currently how they should play out.

Sorry, but I cannot control quality of models that I got FOR FREE.

But good news: model of TIE Heavy is in development by CrazyVulcan and TerranCmdr too - so I may get better model later.

Update video drivers / check presence of all files in folder / try to temporary disable antivirus.

Great work on the game!

I was wondering if there is a way to save your game?

Since the newest version I noticed some ships don't care about bumps. It can happen, that a ship is standing within another ship and they still can shoot each other. It happens with both normal maneuvers as well as Rolls and Boosts. From the top of my head, Leia in the Falcon could overlap one of the IG Droids and they could still pew pew in R1 to each other.

How to reach you? Over email or Discord or?

EDIT: Leia skipping on her Pilot Ability after performing a Red Maneuver, it was the Left Sloop if it matters.

Are the swarm controls coming back, or have they changed from the old controls? IE, hold ctrl during setup for spacing/crtl+a to select similar movements.

It is disabled in current version, I plan to restore this feature later.

Fly Casual v1.5 is released

Some unreleased content from Wave 7 is available (TIE/Rb Heavy, LAAT/i Gunship, HMP Droid Gunship...)

Download: https://github.com/Sandrem/FlyCasual/releases/tag/1.5

There is a lot of work to add new cards from Wave 7 and Wave 8. So, if you like Fly Casual - please, support development: https://www.patreon.com/Sandrem

Looking good! The LAAT-i's rerolls feel really strong, making me wonder if they aren't going to be paying a bit of a premium for that ability alone, and I look forward to testing out DroidSwarm 2.0: Tokyo Drift edition with the Gunship when that get's implemented.

On that subject, if any of you were wondering just where using that Sideslip ability can take you, I wasted FAR too much time on the following graphic: https://www.dropbox.com/s/792puhw840wfpbs/Gunship Sideslip destinations.jpg?dl=0

So, yeah, there's no way any of the Droid Gunships are getting access to Expert Handling, that'd just be nuts.

When I started up 1.5 the LAAT was not available for Republic. Do I need to enable something in the options to see it?
