Although the sloops appear non-selectable when you're stressed, you can actually still select and execute them with Rey's title.

Is anyone else having trouble running 9.6 on OS X? I get a message that says "The application 'Fly Casual' cannot be opened."

Its Apples security. Try to open Fly Casual to bring up that warning, then go to System Preferences -> Security & Privacy and you will see an Allow button for the flycasual app.

Or do a right-click on the file and choose "open" in the menu - the warning dialog will still appear (the first time) but will have an extra button allowing you to open the app.

Vassal gives me a message that it is from an unidentified developer, and won't open, so I have to right click to work around it; this appears to be a different message, though; it doesn't mention the developer, just says it can't open. Even right clicking doesn't make it work.
I was able to work around by using a different zip opener, instead of apple's default. I had to use an app called "the unarchiver" to open the zip file.
Wow, it's been nearly a month since anyone has posted anything.
Well, it occurred to me on my way to work today that whenever I choose a random squad to face off against, I have yet to face either Separatist or Republic opponents. Ever.
Is it just my luck or is that not a thing?
Merry Christmas (or your holiday of choice) everyone!
Merry Christmas @Sandrem .
You and your collaborators are all incredible, dedicated, hard working human beings and pillars of the X-Wing community.
As someone who doesn't get to play our beloved game anywhere near enough, your hard work is really, really appreciated.
I have no idea what the "official" stance is on FC, but I hope 2020 sees some serious reward for your contributions to the community.
You're a top, top guy. Have a very Merry Christmas, and a happy, prosperous New Year.
Just joined the patreon! Excited to see what you do with it moving forward!
hi im loving the app i have just started playing x wing miniaturesand and this app is helping me learn how to play the only problem i have is the dice rolles are very un fair, for example(this is with 2 ships each) I had a rolled 4 attack dice and not one hit all blank ,then they rolled 6 attack dice and every single one was a hit and I rolled 4 defend dice and guess what all blank again. It seems like when I play the AI it's so unfair especially for someone who is still learning the game. Any one know if the person that has made this app has a place where I can get in contact with them?

Code is open source, anyone can check. Randomization of dice is done in file "Scripts/View/Board/Dice/Die.cs" at line 102 (each 3d-axis gets a random rotation), then gravity does it's work. No special behavior for AI or real player.
If you lose because dice results - this is only luck, the same situation can be in real life match.
Players usually ignore own lucky rolls and bad rolls of opponent ("I won because I fly better!"), but remember situations when lose in opposite situations ("How you can roll dice better than me? You are cheater!"). As example, try to remember, how many times you rolled 3 blanks on 3 green dice, and how many times you rolled 3 evades - most of players remember examples of first situation better.
Also a lot of players don't understand how chances/probability work.
Few simple examples:
1) Just flip a coin 100-1000 times, record results, and see how often it has series of the same side and how long these series sometimes. And understand, that if you flip a coin only few times - you can get results from that long series of the same good/bad result.
2) Chance to get 6 evades in a row is only 0,278%. But you play a lot of matches, and in each of them players roll dice a lot of times (100 matches with 100 dice rolls = 10'000 rolls!) - as result, it's almost guaranteed that you will see this situation often enough. But you can encounter this 6 perfect results in some not important shots in the middle of the long game, or encounter them in the initial joust and lose miserably because of this.---
I don't want to repeat same things each time, so, starting from this reply, I will ignore any discussion of AI dice rolls.
Please, quote this reply when new discussion will be started again.

Also. Do make use of the 'stats' option, on screen button in the bottom left during play. It really helps set a good perspective on dice results. I've had numerous games where I'm exclaiming "B**lsh*t!" with several key rolls going south, but a stat check at the end has revealed a fairly minor overall swing.
Check the stats every game and you'll start to get a good view of X Wing dice variance in action, which will help you evaluate your luck in real games too.
Ofc, I have had games where the variance is genuine forking ballshed, but that's dice, it happens.
I believe that it isn't handling the Korr Sella interaction with Debris properly. My understanding is that Korr Sella kicks in after you have fully executed the maneuver, which is also after receiving Debris stress, and so you should be able to blue over Debris and emerge stressless.

That is how she's supposed to work.
Sometimes, the dice do work in your favour....

Let me clarify. Playing on fly casual, if I blue move over a Debris cloud, I emerge with a stress token. I shouldn't, since the stress giving step occurs in the process of executing a mov3, but the re<owing happens after the executing of the maneuver.

I was confirming that what you understood about how her ability is supposed to function is correct making what you encountered in Fly Casual involving her ability a bug.

Ah. All is now clear.
Out of curiosity, will the Fly Casual app be up to date when the points change takes effect tomorrow, or soon thereafter?

In few days.
Just wanted to find out if there is anyway to dock the attack shuttle to the ghost to begin the game?
Secondly, it seems when I'm facing against Luke Skywalker, his force mechanic is allowing anyone to adjust their die with his force tokens, not just him.
Fantastic program for someone who works away from home frequently and doesn't get to play as often as he likes. Thanks!
Hi! Love Fly Casual! It lets me get my x-wing fix whenever I want. Thank you so much for your hard work on it! One thing I’ve noticed several times is that the red reinforce action on the firespray is not treated as red, the ship does not gain a stress token.
