Star Wars: Revan's War OOC

By Rabobankrider, in Star Wars: Force and Destiny Beginner Game

There's a lot in the ic and ooc, so apologies if there's mistakes or I missed something.

@KungFuFerret , I think 4 advantage normally translates to a crit so you can upgrade the enemies check once, and with 2 for the setback you have 1 left to recover a strain or pass a boost or something. Also for you and @Vergence this character has intimidating presence, so that adds 1 disadvantage to checks at short range.

Hanger Combat

  1. @satkaz
  2. Republic Squad 1: Soak 3, 8/25 2/5 men
  3. Sith Squad 1: Soak 5, 0/50, 0/10 men
  4. Republic Squad 2: Soak 3, 4/50 wounds, 1/10 men
  5. Sith Squad 2: Soak 5, 37/50, 8/10 men
  6. Sith Squad 3: Soak 5, 50/50, 10/10 men
  7. Sith Squad 4: Soak 5, 7/50, 2/10 men
  8. @Edgehawk

@Edgehawk and @satkaz , you guys are back up as well.

Corridor Combat

  1. PC
  2. Sith Squad 1 (Ahead): 5 soak, 20/25 wounds, 4/5 men
  3. Sith Squad 2 (Ahead): 5 soak, 12/25 wounds, 3/5 men
  4. @Shlambate
  5. Sith Squad 1 (Right): 5 soak, 17/25 wounds, 4/5 men
  6. @Tramp Graphics
  7. Sith Squad 2 (Right): 5 soak, 25/25 wounds, 5/5 men
  8. Republic Squad: 3 soak 15/50 wounds, 3/10 men

@Shlambate or @Tramp Graphics , it back to you guys again. :)

@AdvocatXD and @BeingofMortis , when you're ready you guys can try to bribe the guard or look for another way in.

@Rabobankrider What's the fastest way out of here that leads to the Admiral and can Zoroku Swing at the Sith Squad before Disengaging?

You would know thanks to the tour it's straight down the corridor to the end, to the left and then right at the end. Just around that corner will be the command centre.

I'm pretty sure it's right through these guys.

Recovering a little strain with the left over is probably a good idea. I've been using it pretty regularly in this scenario. So yeah, that math sounds good to me, 1 upgrade, 1 setback, and a strain recovery.

Also @Vergence and @KungFuFerret , I forgot to say this enemy is nemesis 3 so it upgrades the difficulty 3 times. If you do choose to stick around too long there is a chance of serious injury, the guy who was sent isn't messing around. That is of course unless you think of something creative, which I encourage, I'm genuinely excited to see how this one goes. :)

Just Making sure. Do you want first Attack? Zoroku has handed Kattadik his Saber.

Ok But is that through these Sith which Zoroku and Kattadik are Engaged?

That is yeah, currently it's the only way to the command centre unless you're going through vents etc.

Well the point of coming down here was to deny them the ship, not re-enact the corridor scene from Rogue One :P My basic plan is to have Gaze attempt to shut down the ship, once it's his turn again. Just to remind you, once I included the boost die from Muu, Gaze passed that mechanics check to know how to actually shut down the ship in the most efficient way.

GINSU TIIIIIIIIME!!!!!!

Two-weapon attack, Lightsaber/Ancient Sword combo : 2eA+2eP+3eD 2 successes

That's 8 damage with the lightsaber. as I blast through down the hall.

Would that be faster?

@Rabobankrider , Is @KungFuFerret able to verbally tell Muu what to destroy within engineering with his saber?

@KungFuFerret , you did yeah. The easiest way would be to shut down the reactors using the control panel (although it is harder now it's damaged after the impact). Unfortunately unless you destroy the panels after there's a chance a good slicer could reverse your work. Alternatively if you want to risk the fall below, jumping to the reactors and severing the connectors at the top would shut them down and make it a lot harder to repair compared the the panel option. Indiscriminate violence against any of the tech connected to the reactors would work as well, but again you'd need to jump and my injure yourself if you slice the wrong thing. Blowing things up is always an option, but there is the risk of causing the whole thing to go up.

@Vergence , he could yeah.

@Shlambate , probably not no, but it's always an option if you guys choose.

Would the Move upgrade feature of 'you can rip things out of their fixtures" count for "indiscriminate violence" towards the guts of the ship? Also, for no specific reason whatsoever, and completely random question but...is the Sith still currently standing on said "catwalk above a chasm" ? I ask purely for curiosity of course....

It would indeed, and a very good question, he is stood at the edge of the circle, so if you're planning to throw him (as he is probably is for you guys) he would be withing range of the edge.

Then he will attack the squad after Kattadik. Since it's the fastest way through. @Rabobankrider

Absolutely. Go for it!!!

Well I was thinking more of ripping out the fixtures keeping the bridge in place, as that doesn't require me rolling a Discipline check against 3 red dice :P

Or just doing a saber attack on the bridge and seeing if I can cut through it, making him fall.

Edited by KungFuFerret

A saber attack would be the better option, the bridge itself is pretty secure. Do bear in mind that the bridge going the other way may not be a way out for you.

That's fine, do you need me to roll for attacking the scenery? Or just do damage and say it's cut? 'Cause I'm not sure how you want to play that mechanically

If it's the fixtures, just a force check, it may take a couple of checks to properly shut it down, hard computers (or mechanic to rip out wires_ for the console, hard athletics to jump to the reactor, and no check to cut the bridge (just a simple slash), but the guy is currently between you and the bridge so you would need to get past him. My post will let you know how much damage is don/need to do.
