Star Wars: Revan's War OOC

By Rabobankrider, in Star Wars: Force and Destiny Beginner Game

There isn't really any types of rolls I can think of that would be relevant for Gaze. I RP'd him studying up on possible illnesses and diseases for the area, but that was mostly just for RP purposes. So I guess he will just sort of be generally studying and reading for most of the trip.

If anyone wants to have a discussion with him that's fine.

Are most of the side character interactions posted? I created a IC post to cover a routine gist of Muu aboard the starship for 3 weeks. What are you wanting from the players @Rabobankrider to get us back on track?

For the players OOC: It appears we still need to name the ship. Collectively decide on ship attachments (maybe attach them at the shipyard?) and figure what our characters might like to provide as liaisons to the Republic military.

I think attachments depends on what do we lack skill check wise. The players we lost are a Artisan and a pilot Racer. The only characters possibly even interested in the subject is Walden (Pilot) and Tiberius (Mechanic?). Muu will try to fill whatever void possible however, skill check wise, not the most useful. What are your thoughts players?

For the ship name, imo the pilot can pick it or someone creates a voting system for the players.

Muu would like to try to tackle the communication matrix for the Foerost Shipyard. Getting cross departmental officers or branches to work together in regards to security response stratagems and starship production. This would be the subject my character would try to provide reports to the Jedi Order on. I would be willing to work or assist other characters within our parties interest too.

Feedback is welcome!

Well, Walden is definitely going to be the pilot for sure at this point. As for Mechanics, we have a couple of people that can fill the gap in that department. I suggested the Engine Ring Stabilizer and Advanced Targeting Array because it shores up two of the party's weaknesses: the fact that Walden doesn't have all the little tricks that Gunda had at this point, so it'd be best to avoid any setback that we can for the moment, and the fact that barring Walden, I don't think anyone else has any proficiency on Gunnery.

And I think we'll be spending 2 or 3 hard points on weapons alone: Dorsal and Ventral Quad Laser Cannons will be nice to have, and I'm considering whether or not to either suggest adding a forward firing gun for Walden to use his Gunnery on, or to suggest adding missiles for more punch, if we do want to spend the hard points there.

Hmm, might have to have Walden take Rigger some day, assuming we get that far, because I don't think we'll be splitting up in any other ship in the meantime.

As for the ship name: I'll make it down to these 5 names, just post which one you like the most. Besides, the Padawans will need a name for this ship once Foerost's control tower asks for it.

-The Intrepid Venture

-Eternal Wind

-Knight Errant

-Flashpoint

-Arkanian Dragon

I understand. Maybe manafactuaring safety operations? When we arrive see if there is a common shipyard injury recurrence? Maintenance safety? You know exciting stuff :D

@Shlambate Not sure, I was lost trying to get back on track myself.

@satkaz I’ll go with Eternal Wind and those attachments are cool with me.

Well I mean, he was basically doing medical treatment for 15ish years during a galaxy spanning war, so he's fairly familiar with injuries due to trauma and energy type thingies. Not much else to go over really :P

Arkanian Dragon sounds the best to me, Zoroku will also be going Mechanics when he picks up Shadow but this is mostly for him to be able to mod his lightsaber some more without having to go at all out of my planned build for him. With that Well Rounded skill in Shadow I'll also take Knowledge Warfare alongside Mechanics.

Injury prevention related to those topics? I think we are all stretching our characters for the assignment and had other ideas.

I have a feeling that Zoroku is the only one who feels that this mission makes sense to be given to him and the group as a whole! ;)

Eh, it's good that most of us are out of the comfort circle, then.

Not necessarily, many different skill sets will be needed to help move things along at the Construction site, those with Mechanics like Kattadik and Tiberius will know faster ways of building, Healers like Gaze will get more workers back on the field faster. Zoroku will suggest which ships should be manufactured and which should be discontinued. If they are testing a new fighter perchance they will need test pilots and that is where Gunda and Walden would come in. Save is really the only one who is out of place because he deals with animals and animals don't mesh with Naval Vessels. So technically most of the group is in their comfort circles.

I guess. So, I wonder if we should start posting Week 2 and 3 stuff now, or we should wait it out.

I sent rabo a PM asking if I should post my Duel with Gunda now or if he will make a post in the meantime. Just waiting on him

Kataddik's mechanics skills are relatively miniscule, particularly given having only a 2 in Intellect. He's there primarily as muscle .

Would Kataddik have interest in onboard naval security for the shipyard?

You might know something as it is up to the will of the dice! But Muscle is always appreciated.

Ok, is there anyone who hasn't made their week 1 post yet? If not, I'll set up a response for week 2. :)

That would be right up his alley, particularly in scaring off potential troublemakers.

Yeah. With only a 2 each in Intellect and in Mechanics , the dice don't really favor him just yet.

other than the initial confrontation with Gunda, Kataddik hasn't. He'll spend time sparring with anyone who wants to, as well as some time in the workshop looking for parts to upgrade his saber.

Again, I'm up for sparring if you want.

Oh, considering that the workbench can help us find parts...

Here's mine for the time being. I guess I'll just call it cleaned up parts for now, as the rest of the attachments that I want for the lightsaber are worth more than 1,000 credits. As for the threat, Walden isn't too used to the new parts, so a setback dice for next roll.

Cool. Not sure if we just want to gloss it over, or actually roll mock combat and see who's better. It's up to you and @Rabobankrider .

@Tramp Graphics , if you can do one in week , an the other in week 2, that'd be great. I would be willing to combine searches for parts with applying them to lightsabers though. And if you and @satkaz want to look into setting up your sparring, that works nicely for this week. And for sparring, I would say roll for it. Instead of wounds you can just say you gain the upper hand or something to represent it being non-lethal.

Cool, what kind of facilities and equipment, if any , are their for sparring and lightsaber training? I know that searching for parts is a once per session thing, so I'll roll for that "next week".

Do you want to set it up on the thread or on a Google Doc? I have to head out for a bit, so I won't be able to respond quickly.

Also, any terms you wish to set for a sparring match?

Facilities would just be a big open area. Perhaps you just move chairs etc out of the way in the communal area or something. For equipment, you only need your lightsabers, as you can ic just pull your blows so they aren't cutting limbs off etc.

@satkaz , I think this is the last week 1 post, so you guys can probably do it in the thread.

It'll have to be in thread. I don't use Google doc.

That's fine by me.
