Well if you're aboard one or if there's combat at some point, their combat checks will take on the superior quality temporarily. I'd say it would bbe technical malfunction with the ship systems, think life support, communication etc.
Star Wars: Revan's War OOC
Alright, posting Muu and Walden's conversation in IC soon.
53 minutes ago, Rabobankrider said:Ok, let's sort out some knowledge:
@Shlambate , I'll start with your advantage:
You know that although the ships are comparatively rare, the Centurion-class Battlecruiser is the most effective ship in the Republic navy. If you want to try improving capital class ships, these may well make good templates.
You would also know that the Interdictor-class cruisers are usually considered expendable due to them being generally unreliable. There's only a few of these that are considered to be any good.
For your success I'd say that you are able to provide any ships you consult on with the superior quality for 1 turn (that you guys are present for).
@Vergence and @satkaz , here is your knowledge results:
For the warfare check, you know that the shipyards keeps a large fleet of fighter craft since the Mandalorian wars as immediate response units to attacks. There is also an extensive battery of heavy cannons for dealing with capital ships, combined with smaller turrets for lighter craft. Other than that, they tend to rely on their proximity to the core and Corouscant as a deterrent for attacks. For your disadvantage, I'm going to say you aren't aware of any sensor arrays to detect incoming attackers, other than short range scanners used primarily for tracking combat.
For the core world check you know that the Mandalorians made a daring raid on the planet of Foerost, and that it was considered a resounding success on their part. They devastated the defense forces ad took the Republic by surprise, escaping before reinforcements could be sent. For the disadvantage, I'd like to say you struggle to find out what the raid was meant to achieve outside of violence for the sake of violence. Both these disadvantages will be relevant to the mission later on.

Could I flip a DP for Tiberius to have been part of the raid and know what its true purpose be?
Edit: Tiberius wouldn't bring it up until it might be relevant.
Edited by SHADOWGUARD CHAMPIONOoh, interesting twist, go for it. It would have been a raid for ships to convert into war materials for the Mandalorians to build into their own vehicles. What I may say as a heads up is that for each raid or attack it is revealed you were a part of, I may throw conflict at you to represent your past actions of violence etc. This won't apply to defensive actions though, as that's more fighting for your life rather than attacking the Republic.
Kataddik starts this session with one Conflict automatically ( Fear the Shadows talent)..
@Rabobankrider that's fine. I kind of likd it to be honest.
Hey, @Rabobankrider , what kind of check is it to do some extensive maintenance on one's own lightsaber? Want to do that for Walden.
I'd say it'd be a mechanic check using the standard repair rules from the corebook. As you guys would be well versed in lightsaber check, I don't think there's any need for a special check at this stage. The difficulty would really depend on the amount of damage. I'm assuming it won't be major damage (making it unusable), so probably just an average check. The cost of parts won't apply either due to the exessive spare parts int he workshop. You can also use the workshop for any appropriate checks during this.
Well, for Walden, he's not very confident in his piloting ability or star fighter tactics or strategy, since he's new at this. All he's really known is what he's been taught.
Walden would also think the Republic admirals and starfighter captains don't like outsiders suddenly coming in and telling them what they should be doing, too.
It's like adding a second lieutenant to command with the NCO's probably distrusting of him in the first place.

Okay, I can work with this.
@Shlambate I think it was the Pawadans are trying to show tact and respect. Master Vandar already told us we are supervising the shipyard.
Are Padawans Commanders like the Clone Wars @Rabobankrider ?
You know I just realized that I totally forgot to get a medkit for Gaze. The item that allows him to make medicine checks without a penalty. Pretty much the one item he'd always have on him. I swear my dislike of gear sometimes makes me forget things that are even tied to the concept.

Maybe Foerost has some places where we could get some supplies. Or we could ask for one if they want us to do something for them.
There'll be supplies on Foerost for medical gear.
Padawabs would have similar respect and authority as with the clone wars, but as they did not participate in the Mandalorian waes they wouldn't have much influence with the army, at least initially.

Or I can just flip a DP and say I had one and just forgot to put it on my sheet
But I'm fine with waiting until we get there and pick one up. I was mostly just sharing my amusement with the 10 seconds I spent on the gear page.
Either or, that's up to you. I'd recommend waiting till I burn through a few dp points, as you guys are pretty short on those.
Yeah I know.

I always forget you can do that with a DP.
Also, here's the sheet for the ship. Name is subject to change, as well as weapons and customizations.

I dunno, I think Subject To Change, As Well As Weapons And Customizations might be a tricky name to get approved by ISB. Plus, how is it going to fit on the side of the ship?!

Oh, you tricky ferret.
Also, would there even be a Republic version of the ISB at this point?

Ah, yeah I forgot this was 5k years prior
But you get my point. Maybe if we install one of those scrolling message displays on the side.

Heh, or we could just shorten it to STBAWAWAC
"Stib-aw-a-whack"
But seriously, I don't think we actually decided on a name for it yet.
Also for possible weapons and attachments for the future...
I think we should have at least a dorsal turret. Was also thinking about getting a ventral turret, too. Dunno about missile packs or anything. Maybe the quad laser cannons will do.
As for actual attachments...I was thinking the Engine Ring Stabilizer for the Handling boost and the Advanced Targeting Array to help our gunners out.
Any thoughts?
Edited by satkazAre most of the side character interactions posted? I created a IC post to cover a routine gist of Muu aboard the starship for 3 weeks. What are you wanting from the players @Rabobankrider to get us back on track?
For the players OOC: It appears we still need to name the ship. Collectively decide on ship attachments (maybe attach them at the shipyard?) and figure what our characters might like to provide as liaisons to the Republic military.
I think attachments depends on what do we lack skill check wise. The players we lost are a Artisan and a pilot Racer. The only characters possibly even interested in the subject is Walden (Pilot) and Tiberius (Mechanic?). Muu will try to fill whatever void possible however, skill check wise, not the most useful. What are your thoughts players?
For the ship name, imo the pilot can pick it or someone creates a voting system for the players.
Muu would like to try to tackle the communication matrix for the Foerost Shipyard. Getting cross departmental officers or branches to work together in regards to security response stratagems and starship production. This would be the subject my character would try to provide reports to the Jedi Order on. I would be willing to work or assist other characters within our parties interest too.
Feedback is welcome!

I believe we were doing this one week at a time? Unless I should put up the week 2 and 3 stuff up now?
