Are you referring to opening the grating from the inside, or opening the hangar door from the inside?

Is the Boost from the previous successful skill check (Mechanics), or something else?

As far as I remember whenever Batman opened grates in my video games he had muscle them on both sides cause he didn't bring power tools. So I thought Zoroku would be needed in the Vents to get Armatta out. Also it is ambiguous as to if the door or the grate is easier from inside.

@Shlambate, good point, to open the vent will be the same check as previous if you want to do that. To improve the chances of not being heard you can voluntarily add a setback to represent working while keeping everything quiet.

@Bellona, the stealth check will be to get from the vent to the door without being spotted. If @Shlambate adds the setback to his check you can take an additional boost on your check. There is no check to open the hanger door as it's locked to stop people getting in, but not the guards getting out. As a note, there's a good chance that opening the door will attract the attention of the guards.

From the vent the view of the hanger is partially obscured by stacks of crates, but you can see a small portion of the ship, hear talking of guards and the clunk of metal footsteps, probably droids.

As a heads up, I will be away for a week or so, I will try to post during by it may be sparse at times, so apologies for that.

Grate doesn’t open but we aren’t detected, unless the other two can assist this check is a fail for now. I will be spending the Advantage on no one seeing us.

@Shlambate The one problem is that I could only add a boost, which I don't think is enough.

@Mikeyfett7, as you can move past the vent a little further down the tunnel, there is room to assist if you want, or to try the check yourself. Also don't forget you do have destiny points on page 1 of the ooc thread.

Does Conditioned do anything here, Zoroku does remove one Setback from athletics checks but I didn’t know if that applied to it being stealthy.

@Shlambate it may be better for me to attempt the check myself, even though my athletics is much lower than yours I don't think it's possible for the boost I would give you otherwise to actually help.

We've unlocked the magnalocks remotely on the new ship, and have an approved flight plan for a ship leaving the spaceport.

So I guess that the only thing that we're missing is the actual permission to take and board the ship, right?

That permission would probably have to come from the Senate - and I don't see us getting that any time soon.

So we're probably left with guile/fast talking or stealth. Technically also violence, but let's avoid that if possible!

About as expected, and I'm starting to think I'm only capable of rolling dark side points, I haven't rolled a single light side pip at any point in the game. Is the one advantage at least enough to keep everything quiet so that we're not given away @Rabobankrider?

So I see Only Zoroku has muscle in the Vent Group. But the force Decides to help us finally.

I should have spoken up sooner, Krios would have done well with the grate. But Armatta came through.

And does either Zoroku or Silun have a strong enough Move power to create a distraction on the far side of the hangar from both the vent group and the door to the hallway?

Silun doesn't have Move at all, unfortunately.

@Shlambate, conditioned would have been relevant as it would narrate as you being able to exert more strength without alerting people to the noise etc.

@Bellona, the only thing you are missing is clearance to remove this ship from the impound hanger, yes. As it was the senate who ordered that you ae right in saying getting permission would be extremely difficult.

@Mikeyfett7, I probably should have re-rolled destiny points with the turnover on players, however I will say that you guys are very close to the end of the session, probably after getting off Corouscant I will reset destiny points, award xp etc.

@Bellona, I'm happy to say that with the advantage on your check there are crates/barrels near the vent so you guys can drop into good cover.

From where you guys are and average stealth with a boost and setback will reach the control panel by the door to open it. As you're inside there's no check to open the door. However your characters would know the door opening will pretty effectively blow your cover as the guards inside will see.

If you want to look for some more specifics on guard numbers, the area around you etc an average perception will provide some more information.

Also, with the exception of Zoroku we have a completely different crew from the start of the game, so I'm going to let you guys choose the name of your ship. Something to think about going through this.

Does this make Zoroku the main character Lol. I am the only person from the beginning left aren't I.
