@Jedi Ronin, as I think the others are just about done with the scene, you can either do a couple of rounds or simply do it as a vs check.

@Bellona, there will be an event late morning/early afternoon.

I’m fine either way but prefer a single check as it allows us to narrate the outcome without taking too much time. Do you want us to make a competitive check (we both roll against a set difficulty and the character with the most success wins, etc) or what kind of check?

I am good with one roll

Ok @Jedi Ronin, @Shlambate, as it's going to be a competitive roll I just need an average lightsaber check from each of you, best roll wins the sparring match.

Lightsaber Check: 1eP+3eA+2eD 0 successes, 2 advantage

Lightsaber: 3eP+1eA+2eD 1 success, 3 advantage

Sorry, work is very busy (glad to have work)

@Jedi Ronin, no problem. So with that check during the few rounds you and Zoroku spar, Krios is certainly the victor overall. If you want to put up and ic when ready I'll introduce the new mission section for you all.

@Mikeyfett7, what species is your characters master?

@Edgehawk I'll also need some details on your master.

Sorry- I put this in my original IC post, but I can change it if you wish:

The gentle and patient Cosian who had accepted the challenge of her training was what brought her to the temple. A great disturbance in the Force, a feeling of loss. And then the summons, while others were being kept away. What she feels in her hearts, but does not know, is that Tura Nubis had fallen during the conflict earlier. An ill-fated attempt to diffuse the situation has left him grievously wounded, and his fate hangs in the balance.

Ah I missed that, that works fine

He is a Duros.

Also, how much would Silun have heard or know about what had transpired so far? It might make it easier for me if the answer was less, since I'm new to the setting and didn't read through as much of the previous sessions, but it would be helpful to know either way so I can read into it if I need to and respond IC accordingly.

Ok cool, honestly Silun probably has only heard what he's just been told. He may have heard the republic was attacked on one core world or moon, and heard that the jedi were gearing up for something big yesterday, but further information has been largely suppressed.

Ok, this is a chance for your guys to request some equipment that you think may help you (within reason).

Hmmm. On an entirely meta-game level, a quick glance at the character sheets tells me that Armatta and Zoroku are the only ones with any Computers skill ranks. If we're going to fake a transfer order (and possibly do other slicing-related stuff), then we'll need all the gear-based help that we can get.

With that in mind, I could have Armatta request "a bagful" of dataspikes/computer spikes (Cyphers and Masks p. 45; Special Modifications p. 50).

I don't see why not.

Quick question: do career skills matter outside of the experience cost reduction? For example, [Ranged: Heavy] is a career skill for me, and [Ranged: Light] is not, but my rank is 0 in both. Is there any benefit to using Heavy weapons instead of Light in this case?

Not really, no.

Unless you want to spend the extra 5exp per level for the upgraded ranks

That answers my question, thank you!

@bellona, you certainly can ask for the tech there. I am going to ask for an easy negotiation check to see how many they can get for you. An average will determine the number of blasters, types etc. Clothes won't require a check to acquire.

@Jedi Ronin, an average negotiation check will see to some stun batons etc.

@Mikeyfett7, the only real difference will be the selection of weapons and the cost to improve them later.

Negotiation: 1eA+2eD 0 successes, 3 threat

Seems about right!

:D Negotiation is not Armatta's strong point ...

Dataspike/tech gear check ...

Negotiate vs. High Council for tech gear: 2eA+1eD 0 successes
a--.pnga-a.pngd-th.png

Blasters, etc. check ...

Negotiate vs. High Council for blasters, etc.: 2eA+2eD 1 success
a-s.pnga-a-a.pngd-th.pngd-th.png

:o ... Darn. No dataspikes at all?

Maybe I need to look into Armatta crafting some of her own dataspikes? The main problem there is that Gadget crafting (SM p. 84) doesn't really cover single-use encumbrance 1 specialty items like standard dataspikes.

If anyone wants, they can make negotiation checks on the others behalf. As it's group resources that's not a problem.

Okay, so if An-Djana rolls Force dice with the Negotiation check (Influence-Control), would that turn it into an absurdly improbable opposed check? I’m positive the council would recognize her efforts, but would they go with it, or disapprove?

I'd offer to help, but Silun's Negotiation is no higher than Armatta's.
