Can Krios activate Sense before the duel starts?

I don’t mind you having force dice committed, if that’s what you mean.

Yeah, that’s what I’m going for.

Hmm.. Reading through the other posts, it looks like they were just one-roll resolutions? Or is that because they were just going through katas and not really sparring?

Training Shoto vs Krios w/aim: 2eA+2eP+2eB+2eC+1eS 2 successes, 4 advantage, 1 Despair

Despair: how about the lightsaber drops in engaged range (typically Dum Djem lets you pick where it lands within short range)?

EDIT: Krios has QuickDraw so he can just pick it back up so I’ll choose a different effect for the Despair: Andja overexposed herself in her attack so Krios has an Upgrade on his next check against her.

That’ll work. I’ll get a post up in a bit.

Did you see my edit above? Whatever you want is fine with me.

Quickdraw would allow you to just pick it back up from Short Range?

No from Engaged.

If you aren’t spending the Despair to have it drop within Engaged, than my Sum Djem will be sending it out to Short Range. You don’t get to negate my talent and Upgrade your next check- it would be one or the other. Also, I am not at all certain Quickdraw actually permits retrieving a weapon from the ground as an incidental, regardless of range.

Gah... I’ll just put up a vaguish post in the IC, and you can respond as you wish. I really don’t want to argue, or cause any problems with other players. I should probably know better than to involve myself in these loosely adjudicated PvP spars by now, anyway. 🙂

@Shlambate, a hard piloiting (space), warfare check or mechanics check with a boost will provide some relevant info on the fighters, your choice of skill will effect the information. Also, no check for the information you got from the soldier from the attack.

@Jedi Ronin and @Edgehawk, if you want to play out the spar in full, feel free to as pc's. The other fights were one roll as it was just against an npc.

For the despair, I would recommend either upgrading the difficulty of @Edgehawk's next check, upgrade @Jedi Ronin's next check, or if you want to be poetic you could also use the despair for @Edgehawk to be disarmed, a scramble for weapons.

Scramble for weapons!
I edited my IC to cover the bout from Andja’s perspective, but feel free to do the same for Krios and his attack, of course. @Jedi Ronin

Knowledge Warfare: 2eP+1eA+1eB+3eD 3 successes, 2 threat
p-s.pngp-s-a.pnga-s.pngb--.pngd-th.pngd-th.pngd-th.png

I spent a Destiny point, 3 successes 2 threat likely from the fact my info isn't 100% up to date but it's definitely very close. Unless you want to spend it some other way @Rabobankrider

@Shlambate, in terms of the fighters you would know that their tactics are very similar to those used by lightning strike teams from the mandalorian wars, attacking well defended targets faster than they can respond. This would suggest that either someone supplied the enemy with republic tactics or some of the fighter pilots are ex-republic navy. You also know they are short range fighters, meaning that they are reliant on their cruisers for long range travel. However the style of the fighters is not one you've seen before (due to the threat), so you are unsure of their source, manufacture etc. The design is actually very alien to you, as well as the others present.

I'm going to go ahead and say that's it for Silun right now, I can't really think of anything else for me to get to right now. Let me know if there's anything I can to be doing in character to better integrate into the story or the group as a whole, although it feels like you guys are on some downtime right now, so that might be normal that I'm not all that close to the group quite yet.

I meant that as an either/or - backtracking on the use to have it land on Engaged because that would essentially negate part of your Talent and could potentially negate your Talent in the situation given Quickdraw (debate for another day, but the full Talent description basically says that if you can retrieve something as a Maneuver you can do it as an Incidental).

But, like you, I really like @Rabobankrider suggestion to have a scramble of weapons.

How do you use the hidden text boxes? thanks

without the spaces

@Mikeyfett7, if you want you could go to the sparring chambers, take the opportunity to meet the others? Padawans do often go to watch others fight so it's a good opportunity.

When you guys are done with section I will introduce the next day.

@Shlambate:

If Zoroku pings Armatta's comlink, then she can tell him where she is.

If it's the dinner hour for him, then she'll be in the commissary and he can pick up the fixed 'sabre from her there (in which case I'll adjust the IC post for her dinner). Otherwise there'll be a two-hour "unavailable" message just after dinner (the sort of automatic reply used by Jedi when meditating), followed by her being able to answer from one of the training salles in the mid-/late evening.

(I think that she would have told him her general plans for the evening when he left the 'sabre with her, so that he'd know when/where to find her: dinner, meditation, training in the salles.)

He will go to the training room, eating can wait till later, I assume this would be taking place around the same time as the duels so he could enter in and meet the party

@Bellona if you would like you could get a call from him and lead him to the rest of the party.

Ok, unless anyone else does want to do another sparring bout, you can all narrate the end of your respective days and I'll set up the introduction to the next mission.

Sounds good. Armatta will set her alarm, fall into her bed, sleep soundly, and do the final hour of crafting (second hilt, buy the training emitter to save time, and re-arrange her attachments between the two hilts as per the second post on page 155) in peace and quiet before breakfast the next day.

Will the action pick up again in late morning ("forenoon" to some people)?

@Jedi Ronin, as I think the others are just about done with the scene, you can either do a couple of rounds or simply do it as a vs check.

@Bellona, there will be an event late morning/early afternoon.
