@Shlambate, it really would depend on what is said, but I suspect that leadership will be most applicable to the situation. You could of course try and coerce the guards into standing down, or lying to them with deception.

As @Von3679's character is a witness an accomplice to all this, they could provide an assist if they want to say anything.

I'll need to think of a response I'll try and see if I can phrase a deception.

@Shlambate, I'll give you a boost with that as you are playing on some things that will work well on the crowd. If @Von3679 wants to say anything, they can add an additional boost. Unfortunately the check will be against Karath's leadership, so the difficulty is 2eC+2eD+1eS. Don't forget guys you do have destiny points still if you want to use them. This will determine the actions of the defence force. @Edgehawk and @SithArissa, if things go wrong you will arrive after the first round of combat, if not then you will arrive shortly after the jedi move into the building.

@Shlambate, as I've let @Edgehawk do similar during a session, you can take a rank in deception now. When you're ready you can make the roll to try and turn the soldiers against Karath.

If not Can I argue that the Soldiers don't attack and maybe need to be convinced either way, like it gives them pause?

@Shlambate, unfortunately not, no. In terms of the advantage, if you want you can persuade a minority of the soldiers instead of all of them, and as a result make the upcoming combat easier.

@Shlambate and @Von3679, please roll cool for initiative. @Edgehawk and @SithArissa, you will join combat after the first round, so please roll vigilance for when you arrive.

@Sincereagape, to introduce your character, I think we'll say that having arrived back on Corouscant you heard rumours of the disturbance at the admiralty involving the jedi. If you want to join in the combat you can roll vigilance as well and join on the second round.

So the following combat will be a mixture of mass combat and regular combat, to represent the battle going on around you with the jedi and the republic soldiers. If anyone wants to command the battle around them, then I can introduce a mass combat roll at the end of each round (@Shlambate I suspect this will introduce you most)

@Shlambate you advantage will be shown mechanically by reducing the number of soldiers you will have to fight.
