@KungFuFerret , I'm so tempted let the crystal keep the voice for the campaign XD

:D That's your call, regardless, I've decided that Gaze will develop the quirk of occasionally talking to his saber, as a result of that conversation.

I have no problem with this! :D

@awayputurwpn , if you could do the same check as before (with destiny point), and I'll write the response to your last post.

No worries dude, that works fine for me, so you'd be sliding all over the shot, probably bang yourself up a bit for your troubles. You'd also probably be aware of the time you have left before needing to give up on your quest. Just something to bear in mind.

Btw, is Gaze officially done with the scene at this point? I only ask because you said those who are done should do their Knight Level upgrade. If you have more content for Gaze that's 100% fine, just curious.

I'd say so yeah, all there'd be to do is leave now so you can look into your next stage

K, I'll update him tonight. Already planned out his expenditures, just need to check my notes at home. So we also get +15xp for the crystal session right?

Yup

@Rabobankrider So does Zoroku need to make a Medicine Check?

No, not for this. I'll post the response to explain

Ok then I'll await your response.

Okay, am I waiting for narration or anything mechanical from the check?

I'll add in the response now

@satkaz , if you want you can take a separate mod, or you can take additions to the crystal. I'd like it if the free mod wasn't a second crystal, as missions to go and get them usually seem like a lot of fun (who doesn't want to fight a Krayt Dragon?), but feel free to take changes to the hilt like hilt masking kit etc.

Okay, I'll just stick to the crystal mod myself. Unless you mean an attachment?

Because attachments are like the hilts and the Illum crystal itself: easy to install, just need time and the credits to get them. Modding is taking said attachments even further with effects, like decreasing the critical on a Illum crystal, and that one runs the risk of failure.

IIRC, you get one free mod just as a standard rule, before any dice rolls are required. I could be remembering that wrong, as it's been a while since I've read the lightsaber construction rules. He might have some talent that lets him get a free mod on top of that as well. *shrugs*

Again, I'm not 100% on that? Someone else please confirm/deny what I've said, I'm at work and don't have my books.

Haven't seen any ruling on that for the core rulebook, GM's guide, or Endless Vigil myself. Unless it's somewhere else that I dunno about.

Hey can Zoroku do some sort of check for the Script on the walls @Rabobankrider

Could've sworn that when modding your crystal you got one mod for free, per the rules. Not sure about a hilt though.

@Shlambate , sure. I'd say a daunting law check

Regarding the addition to the lightsaber, you can either have one attachment, or take one mod for the crystal you guys just got. You can only choose one though, and that is the only thing you get free at this point.

Alright, thanks for the clarification.

It seems he deciphers the Script on the wall.

@Rabobankrider Is it now a free mod on the crystal and an attachment or one and not both? The Mentor discount applies to which powers?

Ah, found it on the GM Kit, Page 23.

"If successful, the character gains a basic lightsaber hilt, as found on Table 5-8: Lightsaber Hilts on page 1 77 in the Core Rulebook. However, for taking the time and effort to construct a hilt, he gains one additional benefit. When the character adds his first attachment (including a lightsaber crystal) to the hilt, he may automatically install one mod on that attachment without making a Mechanics check (he counts as automatically passing the check). This still counts towards the total number of mods installed on the attachment."

Yeah, that's the thing I was thinking of.

Ok so Does this mean we get two then?

No. Because each mod is a hard check period. But all mod checks are easy when their on your crystal or Lightsaber hilt. Jackpot. Excuse me while I respond my xp.

Speaking of which, here is my first mod roll for +1 damage.

: 2eP+1eD 1 success, 1 advantage
p-a-a.png p-s-a.png d-th-th.png

Its that easy.

Here's the other one??????

: 2eP+1eD 2 successes

But it says there that it is an automatic success you didn't need to roll.
