How are you handling attachments? Can Gunslinger file off the front sights, and make his heavy blaster pistols "paired weapons?"

Trying to come up with a specialist item.. Is there such an item as a spotting scope, where I could provide a Boost (or something) to our Sharpshooter and Gunner? I figured it could give him something to do at long range.
