I'm reconsidering Gunslinger's career/specs, which I'd originally envisioned as Gunslinger/ Charmer. I still like my character concept.. but I'm not sure how relevant most of the career skills will actually be, in this campaign (and if they are needed, our squad's specialist is taking the Smuggler career).

The Hired Gun (Mercenary Soldier) looks to have a solid combination of leadership and shooting talents..

Does anyone have any other ideas, or input?

Our auxiliary 'specialist' could consider the spy career for skullduggery/stealth skills if there is a overlap in Smuggler. Being clones there are lot of specializations not easy to RP in Cyphers and Masks that could be useful. Its un-intuitive but the Spy/Slicer tree has more Bypass Security ranks than Smuggler/Thief. Of course, its up to the player's personal concept on how they view there character role in Cyclone.

I think Mercenary Solider has an awesome balance of leadership/shooting. Tactician has the same leadership talents but, less shooting and more support talents such as bodyguard. My personal analysis, Field Commander would help combat more than inspiring rhetoric in Charmer. Supposedly, you can use the leadership skill without talents to add boost dice to allies (scenario dependent on GM).

I went the traditional Driver route with my XP. CT-6180 has Gunnery (1), Mechanics (2), Perception (1), Piloting Planetary (2) from the free class/specialization skills. For the 15xp I took Athletics to rank 2 to symbolize our exercise training and bought All-Terrain Driver.

For Cyclone RP clarification, we are an experimental unit with auxiliaries and a Jedi training together in the 712th Assault Battalion which Anler will run, correct? The Cyclone squad color is rich blue without a confirmed squad symbol yet? I did a quick search on Cyclone symbols on google and mainly found hurricane or twister like symbols. This is the only symbol I found with the mixture of the two. I'm personally open to any illustration, I was just planning out what sort of personal individualization's might my character create on his armor/tattoos. :P

@Edgehawk , you may be interested in something like the AoR instructor or strategist specializations if you're gunning for sergeant.

@Vergence , that is correct and the symbol looks good to. :)

@Matt Skywalker , if you're looking for stealth stuff that works well for the war setting, you may well be interested in trailblazer, infiltrator or scout.

Regarding character customization, this campaign will (hopefully) be running for a long time, so there will be plenty of time for people to change their appearances and gear during, so that should be interesting.

I'll be requesting a medical backpack and around 5-10 stimpacks for the challenge ahead.

That should be fine.

I'll get a post with CT-6180 or "Mynock" socializing with the crew once Anler posts. For RP reasons, he would remain at attention until the Commander responded.

Sorry for the delay. After all this time if took a bit of time to get back into it. Character is updated with a specialization, skill and 15 xp spent. I took Reflect (really, that must be a shock to the rest of you!) and an upgrade for the sense power.

Haha, hopefully the same thing won't happen twice (or too often), so it should be grand.

@Edgehawk I think the Command talent is just a passive innate ability you narrate that provides a boost per rank to discipline checks.
