@Kymrel Noticed you called yourself Artan in your IC post. Just wanted to let you know.
Star Wars Clone Wars: Cyclone Squad OOC
Ouch, I'm confuuuuused. I'll edit, thanks.
Little late, but sounds good.

I took the liberty of using Leadership, as CT-5472 aspires to such a role, and it would be his motivating factor for learning to distinguish between the various cadets:
Description | Leadership to ID Opposition |

3eA+3eD
:
2 successes, 4 threat
[3eA=-, S, S] [3eD=Th, Th/Th, Th]

I take it whatever I noticed, it wasn't good! Let me know about the 4 threat @Rabobankrider .
Ok, so from the way I've read it, success means you can identify some people, but the threat means you fail to notice key factors about them, I'll put down 2 key characters, you can do with the information ic as you wish.
The first is cadet squad leader Oss. Noted during training for his impressive ability as a marksman and guerrilla warfare.
The second is cadet Jam. He is most likely going to be the Drummers slicer for the day due to his extensive knowledge of compute wiring.
As you have that much threat, I'd say you don't know much more, but you also don't think of them as too much of a threat?
I'm ready to start this mission!!
@Rabobankrider So how does 9182's gun hinder him in the ventilation?
@Shlambate , I'm going to say a black dice for any checks while in there, ic it'd have to be pushed in front of you or dragged behind, making it quite awkward to get about, hence the black dice.
Alright I'll wait for your next IC post to get us in there.
Quick question. Am I correct to assume that Acklay squad is part of the same platoon as Cyclone squad? Or at least in our battalion? I have half a mind to take them with us on the raid, as per the Major's question. Would spice things up a little
Posted this in the IC thread, will edit my post there once I know the answer.

Oh great 9182 gets to be next to his favorite Clone Songbird...
I think it would be good for us to have backup maybe we have them go through the water way that way we do have enough troops to do so.
That'd be pretty cool. I'm fine with whatever.
They are yeah, if you want to take them feel free to choose them ic, if not, I cn always make another squad of interest.
OK, the IC post has been edited, we are live people!
Do we have any idea how we want our breach team to line up, I imagine not all of us will be able to fire in the enemy HQ immediately so is there a preferred order to us, especially now since we've doubled the groups size by adding in Acklay squad.
Do we want small arms in the front so that they can charge in quickly and make room for the rest?
Do we want the biggest gun in the front so maybe we can get a quick few takedowns with surprise?
Do we want our Jedi in the front flanked by several rifle men?
If I'm reading this clearly we won't be riding the Vents all the way to HQ right?

Well in the vents my idea would be Anler (to cut holes) and somebody who can manipulate the fans (probably me). In the breach we probably want CT-3478 first. He wants to get into close combat and also can take the first enemy shots as he is the most robust of us.

Will 3478 be using QQC or a Longer range weapon though, even if we have the element of surprise he can't take all the fire he just isn't that beefy. If we don't have element of surprise we will just have 3478 on the floor. @Stneu73 are you taking a gun in or going in punching? Would you also like to be the first one in the charge?

Ideally, we want to get out of the vents into an unoccupied room/corridor and assault the HQ from there. Two squads of armored clones traipsing around in the vents above the HQ is very likely to get noticed, and if we are fighting one abreast we are in deep trouble.
I suggest having Anler at the front, or second from the front, since he has the can-opener. CT-8128 ( @Sterf ) should also be up front to deal with the fans. It is not neseccarily ideal to let a character who wants to charge into melee go first. If he (or Anler, for that matter) is in melee all shots from the rest of you are upgraded once, and if you roll a Despair on that Challenge Die you hit your friend in that melee. I would say we want the biggest gun close to the front to lay down some covering fire if we get discovered. If we need to engage someone in melee, Anler can do that. He'll just have to remember switching his saber from the normal setting to the training setting

So while in the Ventilation tunnels we want 8128 by you so he can turn off any fans, then once Anler uses the can opener 9182 should open with suppressing fire from his Rotary Cannon.
Yes, I suppose that's pretty much it. But that would be plan B for sure, as I said, if we can get out of the vents before making our move that would be much better. We can then leave Acklay as our rearguard and reinforcements while Cyclone squad and Anler attack the HQ.

So we can get into the HQ from the Ventilation, that wasn't completely clear to me, ok so we are cutting into the wall to get into the air system in the first place?
Yes. The three-pronged attack will be carried out as follows:
1) The main force will assault frontally.
2) The flanking force will attack through a hole Anler will cut.
3) The HQ assault will be carried out through the vents. No cutting is required (perhaps to get out of the vents in a good location) since the entrance is outside the dome.
Ok cool I'm caught up with the plan then just waiting on @Rabobankrider to get us moving!
Sorry for the delay, had to re=read mass combat material.
NPC Athletics
:
2eA+3eD
2 failures
Aacklay Squads minion athletics check is above.
To start the climb it'll be a hard check, as you're pulling yourself up with just your hands. I'd recommend the highest brawn character making an assist check to help people up.
Mass Combat
:
1eB+1eS+3eP+3eC+2eA+2eD
2 failures, 2 advantage
There's the check for the mass combat, not a great start. For the 2 advantage though they get to downgrade the next check so that's a plus. Now I've spent ages looking, but I can't find anything on losing troops. My assumption is you downgrade the strength of the army for additional advantage, sort of like wounds in single combat, but I'm not sure I feel that if it's a small force that would make the combat very quick. What do you guys think?
Edited by RabobankriderI'm afraid I'm not well versed in the mass combat rules...
Since Anler is cutting a hole, it makes sense if the clones try getting up there first. You might do well looking for equipment that might help. Ascension pistols or just a ladder might help...
Edited by Kymrelmaybe it's a number of rounds before the whole assault team is down which elongates or shortens based on the rolls. Say we have ten turns the two fails makes it two less turns. So we have 8 on the next round minus another for time passing so 7, advantage could give boosts and triumph/despair could up/downgrade all checks and give/take time.
