@Edgehawk , you can recover a strain if you want with your advantage. The creature pulls you under the water and are ensnared for 2 rounds.

I hadn't planned on it, but this is an initiative for combat time. I'm also going to take this chance to introduce @Petragor07 , so you can roll initiative as well.

Ok @Petragor07 , you are up! The creature is at short range of you in the water, the water is classified as difficult terrain.

I engage the creature despite the terrain with 2 maneuvers, and use 2 strain to Also punch it with my knuckle dusters. Any modifiers to my brawl check?

Can I shoot it?

Sorry people. I have been out of the loop for almost a week. My 1,5 year old son and I were hit by a car. The toddler is fine, but I broke an ankle, a rib, seriously bruised my hip, had a serious concussion, and had quite a lot of minor scrapes and bruises.

Because my computer is all the way up in the attic (man-cave), I have no guarantee for a daily presence, at least until I get the old laptop to run again.

@Shlambate , you are up, you can shoot it but the difficulty is upgraded by 1 due to it being at engaged range with Gunslinger, so at this range with auto-fire it will be 2eC.

@Shlambate , you can as a melee check, yes. As an improvised weapon it adds 2 damage, but also an automatic disadvantage to the check. If you get 3 disadvantage you do risk breaking Martha.

Risk Martha or Risk Gunsligner...

Using 1 Advantage to reduce Strain (that was already there) by 1, so I only have the 2 Strain from this Aim maneuver.

Damage 9 from my rifle, plus 4 successes and minus 4 Soak stays 9 Damage total.

Spending that Triumph on a Critical Hit.

An AVERAGE critical, making the thing Winded. If it is susceptible to this, for the rest of the encounter, the target cannot voluntarily suffer Strain to activate any abilities or gain additional maneuvers.

@Xcapobl , you begun at short range and so were already at disengaged from the creature (you were at the edge of the pool). If you do want to move back 1 then that would take you to medium range, making the difficulty 2eC. I'll assume you want to remain at short range for now.

@Edgehawk you are up but you are also suffering 1 wound and 2 strain due to the grip of the creature. You are also ensnared but can do a hard athletics to break free. You can still perform an action as well, just not move.
