Star Wars Clone Wars: Cyclone Squad OOC

By Rabobankrider, in Star Wars: Force and Destiny Beginner Game

@Tramp Graphics , at least a mile away, in this smog, none. You would have to wait for them to get closer. There are no checks to set up the guns, but one thing you guys may recall is that the gate to the base was open, and that the lock was currently broken. If there's anything else you guys want to do, let me know.

the 3rd sense check i’ve done... i rlly cant believe this HAHA

The force must not like akua.

@Von3679 , if you want to flip the dp for it you can, but you guys have already confirmed that there is no one else in this building.

You guys only have one building left to search (the one with the radar dish) if you want to.

To get the weapons out of the lock up, I will need a hard skulduggery to try and crack the lock, or a hard athletics if you want to try and break through the cage itself.

If you want to try fix the gate lock, it will need a hard mechanics with a setback, but if you want you can take a little extra time to strip parts off equipment around the base to remove that (but it's going to take longer to do).

You've all got time to do the rough equivalent of 3-4 actions before something happens ic, so if you guys split the tasks you can get most of them done.

I have Athleics as the most brawny Clone here I could try busting the Lock.

@Shlambate , go for it. If anyone wants to help you can get a boost on the hard athletics (you'll probably need help to move and set up the heavy repeaters anyway).

I'll roll without it first if someone wants to give Slugger a boost then I'll add it in retroactively because i am not against the Assist

Because This roll is interesting.

Haha, alright, @Shlambate , you don't break the lock, but you do break the door out of it's hinges (2 threat mean ti won't go back together).

Come to think of it, is there such a thing as force push in the game? Sadly akua probably can’t use move on the guns, but she can help slugger if needed. Sorry for my absence lately, been rlly busy.

So He opened the the armory just not the way he wanted? Cool.

Pretty much yeah.

@Von3679 , force push is within the move power unfortunately. If you want you two can commit time to setting up the guns where you want.

@btmaja , @Tramp Graphics , @Edgehawk , what do you want to do to prepare before the encounter starts?

@Rabobankrider is partially correct there. Force Push is covered by both Move and Bind (specifically its movement upgrade, which allows you to push or pull a target one range band closer or farther away). Though, unless they're too big for you because of a lack of Strength upgrades, why you can't use Move on the guns is questionable at best. Move can be used on inanimate objects.

Well, with the Rangefinder, Kandosii can increase the range of his rifle to Extreme range. So, he should be able to spot (and target) the enemy, well before they see him. That is, of course, if someone notifies him of the enemy approach.

@Tramp Graphics , please see the parts of the ic and ooc where I have said that the fog/mist on this planet is extremely thick. That is why range is limited to long. In the mean time I'm sure the rest of the team would appreciate your character doing some work to help with final preparations.

Also the movement in bind isn't really a force push, it just moves them around steadily.

Well, unless someone gives him a sit-rep, he wouldn't even know about those guns. The best he can do now is keep an eye out for trouble, and provide them cover while they work.

As for Force Push, The devs did clarify that both Move and Bind can be used for Force Push / Force Pull , though with slightly different purposes. But, that's all I'll say on that, as I don't want to debate it. It's not relevant anyway to our situation anyway. 😎

As I mentioned, there is other tasks that will need doing if you wanted to look at those.

"It's over, monster. We have the high ground."

I'll want to plant myself as close to the front of our defensive position as possible.

@btmaja , ok cool, that will be in the gate at the front. You could do this last minute if there was anything else you wanted to do though.

Hmm... akua’ll probably be dancing around the front again.

How far away from Kandosii is that? He’s on the outer wall himself.

@Tramp Graphics , depending on where you set up, anywhere from short to medium range of the gate.

@Edgehawk , the first two buildings you searched are at short range of the gate, and the command building is at medium range. However there aren't any ladders to get the guns onto the buildings, so it will require a hard athletics to set them up on top. You can get an assist if you want however. If you want they would also fit on the walls.

I'll give you guys a day or so to do anything else you want to, and then I will be starting the encounter.

He climbed the wall and set up once they entered the compound, so I’d presume that he’s pretty close to the gate, unless he needed to relocate in order to better cover the team.

Ok, I'd say short range then.

I'd imagine you're on the wall itself, while I'm at ground level by the gate.
