Can the crates be stacked in a way that would facilitate our gaining the ledge?
Star Wars Clone Wars: Cyclone Squad OOC
@Edgehawk , the crates can be stacked, that would eliminate the initial athletics check for you lot.
@Shlambate , that is an interesting idea, I may try using that. Although from what I've read, I think advantage and disadvantage are used more for changing the environment etc.
@Rabobankrider So did Songbird Knock 9182 over? Just want to know before I make a Post.
Once we get the boxes lined up could we get up with no problem or with an athletic check?

If we don't have element of surprise we will just have 3478 on the floor. @Stneu73 are you taking a gun in or going in punching? Would you also like to be the first one in the charge?
He is going to have a sidearm DC-15S. I think it would be very like CT-3478 to be the first in. We also have the other beefy dude from Acklay. "Gurr" I think. But yeah I may be more tanky that everyone else but not that much. That comes later
also @Edgehawk I think you were talking to CT-3478 in IC so I responded like you did. I think you accidentally hit 2 instead of 8. No biggie though
So, I'm guessing no Athletics check for now, since the boxes are stacked?

I'm thinking so. at least it seems that's what rabo said here

No athletics for the boxes being stacked now, though you will be required to do a coordination check later to make sure you don't fall off the roof
@Shlambate , he wouldn't knock him over, just a shoulder barge to let him know he's there kind of thing.
Also, I might post onthe AoR forum about the mass combat, see if anyone there has any ideas.

So for now we just narrate how we climb on the roof?
Sure
Grorr is now my new favourite NPC I should have named him Cannibal

I like the sound of Gundark!
Ok all, when you've all had a chance to post climbing onto the roof, I'll add the next section of the next stage of the mission for you guys to respond to.
Wonder who hasn't responded yet.
Me too. I don't have anything else to add if you are waiting on me @Rabobankrider

I thought his comment meant he was thinking up an IC post.
We're just waiting for @Matt Skywalker , but I'll stick something up for you guys to carry on with in the mean time.
- Everyone please roll an average coordination check. Success means you keep your footing, failure means slip and fall back (take 1 wound for falling heavily). Advantage will give you a free maneuver for the next section, disadvantage means you lose a maneuver for the next bit.
- The next bit I was referring will be a vigilance roll for your first bit of combat (dun dun duuuuun)!
Acklay Squads coordination check:
Coordination Check
:
3eA+2eD
1 failure, 1 advantage
Enemy squad initiative:
Initiative Check
:
2eA
0 successes, 2 advantage
Oss Initiative:
Initiative Check
:
3eA
1 success, 1 advantage
Acklay Squad Initiative:
Initiative Check
:
2eA
0 successes, 2 advantage
I'm going to post the ic thread now.
Edited by Rabobankrider
Coordination getting to the top of the dome
:
2eA+2eD
2 successes, 2 threat
Well, Anler doesn't fall, but the two threats cost him a maneuver.
And now the initiative:
Vigilance for initiative
:
2eA+1eP
3 successes, 1 Triumph
Well then. Perhaps the Triump weighs up the threats on the earlier check?
Sure, that sounds fair.
Coordination roll.
Coordination [Don't Slip on the Dome]
:
3eA+2eD
2 successes, 1 threat
Doc doesn't slip, but he strains himself trying not to.
Vigilance [Finding Enemies]
:
1eP+2eA
2 successes, 3 advantage
Meanwhile, he's very vigilant. I could use one advantage to recover the strain, but as for the other two advantage...maybe the enemy isn't quite as prepared as they could be?
Edited by satkazI'd say you can have a free maneuver for your advantage to represent that for the 2 advantage left.

Alright, that works.
Coordination
:
4eA+2eD
1 success, 1 advantage
I expected more but I'll take one free maneuver.
Vigilance
:
1eP+1eA
1 success
9182 is at least paying attention.
Sorry guys, I've just been reminded as this is an initiative check advantages etc are only used to decide the order of combat.

Ah, right. Well, it's your call.
Question: how many cadets make a squad? Need to know for the IC post.
