Force Fugitives IC

Kilimar's eyes go wide at what he's reading. "Oh ****. **** **** **** **** ****. Uuuh, ok yeah, we need to go, like now. Leaving would be good, very good." He looks at the others. "We're on a Star Destroyer about to come out of hyperspace, about to meet up with Darth Vader. Apparently he wants to be here for our executions or something? And...yeah I'd rather not be there for that." He backs away from the display, leaving the data cylinder there for whoever wants to take it. "Let's go?" He says to the others. "Anywhere has to be better than here, and we might find a way off this ship before it's too late. As to our stuff, it's in Evidence, but it requires a password."

(Anyone that wants to take the cylinder feel free, Kilimar is officially no longer "in possession" of it, though he will snag it if nobody else does as they leave the place)

"Hold on," said Asa. He approached the access point with the code cylinder, and keyed in "Alrea" as a password to open the Evidence room.

Reesh would glance from prisoner to prisoner, pistol still gripped in his pudgy hand. The site did not encourage him. The Iktochi seemed to be panicking, two of them were already at each others throats for a moment, and he still wasn't convinced that they should even bring the Pau'an along. He would sigh as he scratches his head. The chances of escape did not bode well, especially as they now knew they were on a star destroyer. To escape they were going to need a ship or escape pods, none of which would just be unguarded.

The mention of Vader only seemed to make matters worse. Reesh had led a sheltered life from the rest of the galaxy on Gand, but even he had heard ghost stories about this monster. He doubted they'd even have time to grab their gear if they wanted to avoid certain death at Vader's hand.

As the Iktochi stepped away from the terminal to be replaced with the human, he would go to tap him on the side with the blaster pistol to get his attention. 'This Gand doesn't think we have time to waist with computers any more, not if we want to live'. He would gesture from the human to the uniform and back again. 'You can bluff us to a ship or pods. If we look like prisoners and you the guard, escape is possible'. He hoped the human understood, if only by his gestures to the uniform.

// @killerbeardhawk If "Alrea" doesn't do anything, Asa will try "Tomas" for the password, and then "Daru" //

"Thank you, indeed, Sunrider." The Pau'an stretches out a long limb to shake the man's hand. "I am Valem Sabir, and I am indebted to your astute powers of deduction."

Following Kilimar up into the guard tower, Valem is reading over his shoulder, and a cold fear washes over him at the sight of Vader's name.

"We must flee."

"Password Confirmed

Welcome Lieutenant McTanen"

A few minor information systems became accessible on the computer, but Asa was quick to press the open command for the "Evidence" door. A familiar "Shhht" noise came once again from the ground floor. Asa raced down the exterior stairs and looked for the room he had opened. He passed by one room which was very small, but contained all sorts of mismatched stormtrooper equipment. The other room was packed full to the doorway with large metallic crates. Asa took the one on top of a stack and pulled it out into the holding cell floor. A small label on the front of the crate read "Sunrider, A."

Kilimar walked away from the other for a moment, repeating to himself, "Anywhere has to be better than here." He steadied his mind ask best he could. "Can we even get off this thing?" He closed his eyes and channeled the force looking for a thread of the future.

BOOM! PEW, PEW-PEW! Kilimar was running from blaster fire. It was striking all around him, onto the floor and surrounding crates. The loading ramp was just meters away and Kilimar could see the Gand returning fire with a blaster pistol on the ramp. Kilimar stumbled a bit but was caught by the Gand. The Gand displayed positive emotion on his face and clicked 'I got you, Friend.' In that moment the ramp ascended away from the floor and into the air...

Kilimar stands still for several moments, hands twitching in front of him, almost as if he were brushing things away. After a few moments of this, he opens his eyes and looks at the others. "I think our best bet is to head for the hangar, possibly the cargo hangar if they have a separate one for loading/off loading supplies. I see us at least getting off the deck if we head that way." His words clipped and quick, his body language one of high tension, but his tone is clear and firm.

Before Asa ran downstairs, he had thrown the binders to the Gand and the Shistavenen.

"Here, undress the guard, just in case we need the uniform, and put these on him," Asa had said to them. "I'll go get our gear. Random thread man, you wanna come with me?" He had addressed Kilimar.

Kilimar glances up, momentarily puzzled being addressed by someone else. He then remembers this person addressing him earlier. "Name's Kilimar. It's....Asabi....right?" He seems to genuinely not remember the name, being focused on other things when the introduction was made. He moves towards Asa regardless, figuring anywhere not here is better.

Reesh would catch the cylinder as he watches the human with bewilderment. What was the human doing? He would shake his rapidly as he shouts after the human in his chittering screech. 'Stupid human, what are you doing? You need to wear the uniform if it is to be of any use! Do you expect this Gand to pass as a guard?' Reesh was tempted to fire the blaster to at least try and get him to think, but didn't want to make any more of a ruckus to attract the guards. He would look up at the Shistavesten and shake his head. 'Stupid humans' he would repeat.

Looking down at the guard he would jab at him roughly with his foot. He was still alive, just about. Rather than follow the instructions he would go to try and drag the guard to the cell that he had occupied. When there he would go to strip the guard of the uniform, throwing it out for the cell before leaving the guard lying there. As he leaves the cell he would turn to press the button to the door, locking him inside. He would stoop down to reclaim the unifrom, dragging it behind him as he holds the blaster in his other hand. 'This Gand isn't dragging this around with him if human isn't going to use it' he would state.

"Asa Sunrider," said the human as he and the Iktochi had run towards the evidence room. "It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, master Kilimar."

When they reached the evidence room, Asa quickly looted the metal crate with his name on it. He searched for another with the name of Kilimar on it.

"Did you see which way the hangar was from here?"

Kilimar shakes his head. "No, just a glimpse that we might get away on a ship of some kind. Nothing else." He rummages around until he finds his box. He quickly tosses on his hooded robe, utility belt, and light blaster pistol.

The shistivastan, reaching evidence, seemed to only have a set of outdoorsy civilian attire, and some kind of swiss-army vibroknife. (Shistivastan utility knife) These he took quickly, and began to scan the rest of evidence.

Reesh would eventually follow the rest of the prisoners into the evidence room, letting the guard uniform drop to the floor. He'd watch the others rummage through their boxes for a moment before going to get his own crate. 'Well if everyone else is taking equipment, the Gand will as well'. He would crack open the box to reveal the meager possessions he was captured with.

He would go to pull his robes over the top of his convict uniform, hopping slightly to make it settle over his stocky frame. The robes would look similar to those most Gand wear, except these seemed to be made out of the skins of beasts the Gand had slain. This was quickly followed by a bandoleer which held the Reesh's canteen and flask of bacta. He would tuck the code cylinder and guards blaster into his belt before going to retrieve his final possession. It was an odd looking weapon, somewhere between a traditional gaffi stick and a Gand shockstick. It had the weighted spike and bladed end used by Tusken raiders, but it had been given the reach of a Gand stick stick to counter Reesh's lack of height. The haft had been heavily engraved with strange images of Gands in combat along with cryptic looking hieroglyphs native to his planet.

With this in hand he would look to the others getting ready. 'This Gand think we cannot wait any longer. A ship or escape pods must be found, this Gand does not want to die here with all of you today'.

Asa nodded thanks to the Gand, taking off his prison garb.

"We don't know how many more guards there are from here to the hangar," he said. "We could try fighting our way out, or try bluffing them. But I'm not sure how well they would respond to a guard transporting several unrestrained beings scheduled for execution.

"There seems to be stormtrooper gear in the other room... How many of you could imitate a stormtrooper? Or of course we could just shoot everything that tries to stop us."

Seeing the Gand and Shistavenen donning combat gear, Asa seemed to think better of a disguise and instead began to put on his own signature armor from Weik.

When asked if anyone could pretend to be a stormtrooper, Kilimar points to his prominent, and protruding horns on either side of his head by way of answer.

"Of course. Bad idea." Asa finished putting his armor on, and slung his quiver onto his back. He unsheathed his sword briefly, to examine it, before sliding it into place alongside his quiver. He hefted his compound bow, making sure the string was taut and that it hadn't sustained any damage.

"Besides, I hear you can't see a thing in those helmets." Kilimar interjects before looking around. "So yeah, I'm in agreement with the Gand that we leave, leaving is good. Everyone hit the restroom first? We won't be stopping for breaks."

"I relieved myself in my cell. I won't be in need of a refresher for the near future."

As the others were grabbing their possessions out of the Imperial storage, it was the shistivastan who spotted something left inside the closet no one had claim. Behind where the crates were stacked sat a small droid. The small black and silver astromech was unresponsive at the arrival of the shistivastan. Only a single blue light blinked slowly from a large restraining bolt placed on its front.

Flicking open the utility knife, the shistivastan started prying off the restraining bolt.

"Okay, well if we're not going for subtle..."

The gangly Pau'an finds his crate and pulls out his brilliant bright-rust-colored robes. Surprisingly, he hears the satisfying clink of his few credit chips still in the pockets- and more importantly, his ear-caps, which he eagerly slips into place. The Shistavanen might be almost tolerable, now...

Without effort, the knife easily dislodges the restraining bolt on the astromech droid. It's systems begin to reboot. Once it's visual sensor's are online, it receives a haunting image, a shistivastan standing in front of it holding a knife.

"AAAAAA-WWWWEEEEE", the droid exclaimed in a mechanical language as it dashed out of the closet, almost knocking over the shistivastan in the process. It seemed to not notice the other prisoners as it began to look from cell to cell.
