Force Fugitives IC

By killerbeardhawk, in Star Wars: Force and Destiny Beginner Game

Confused by the missing prisoners, the guard on duty begins to search for them hastily. As the other's in their cells woke, the guard couldn't help but be distracted. A pounding headache set on just by looking at one of them.

When the officer in charge of these prisoner's holding cell block finally caught up to Reesh, his blood boiled with rage at their insolence. The officer stood in front of Asa's cell and called to the three prisoners inside, "You moof milking sons of a Gundark! Too scared to face the punishment for your heresy? You will rue the day you crossed Imperial Naval Lieutenant McTanen!"

A blaster pistol in the right hand and the door controls in the other, McTanen was ready to show these prisoner's who was truly in charge. With a light press on the large red button, the force field dissipated.

Kilimar watches the events begin to unfold as he envisioned, and made an attempt to get out of his cell. Sadly, he had no luck at trying to disable the barriers to his cell, and curses in frustration and his confinement.

"Lieutenant McTanen!! I am with the Inquisitorial Clandestine Service! If you value your life, you will release me at once! These creatures are dangerous, and your response highly irregular! I can assist you. You may even be allowed to retain your commission. Watch Officer! Heed me!"

Valem tries to put the will of the Force into his deception, but can tell that it is not enough. He cannot reach him, but perhaps has raised some doubts, further clouded his already considerably questionable judgement.

Sighing, he looks up to the air duct access in his own cell. Not so high up, really..?

As the guard reacted to Valem's shout, the beastial shistavastan silently rushed him, claws swiping for the blaster pistol.

Lt. McTanen dove for his pistol as it slid across the floor of the central room. He rolled to his feet and fired a shot at the attacking prisoner. The large blue ring hit center mass and sizzled as it dissipated over the Wolfman body.

"Kriff," Asa muttered as he dropped down to help the Shistavanen. One man with a blaster, against another with no weapons, is no contest. But two can prevail...

Asa rushed towards guard, flanking him. This guard seemed to have some training, because he was able to avoid Asa's attempt at a sweeping kick.

Reesh would be taken aback slightly at the shot the officer fired off. He was mildly surprised that the guard seemed to be trying to still subdue the prisoners without actually killing them. It would be the humans downfall he suspected. As soon as he entered the cell he didn't stand much of a chance. He watched the second human go forward to strike the guard, and decided he had to get stuck in. He couldn't let these people take all the glory could he!

Reesh charged forwards, head tucked low as he went. Reesh was fortunate that training to be a Findsman involved learning the martial arts of his planet. Although he had a long way to go with his training, Reesh had learnt a few of the basics, though he felt like he knew more than he did in actuality. As he reaches the guard he would drop to one knee, going to deliver a viscous punch to the side of the mans leg in an effort to bring him down to his level. He would follow this with a rapid set of blows to the mans stomach before hopping back half a step. Glancing out of the cell he would take a moment to assess his situation. Even if this guard was subdued, they were going to need to get out fast, and he figured the more prisoners on the loose the greater the odds.

Leaving the singed Shistavastan and the human to deal with the guard, he would go to sprint from the cell, heading straight for the cell of the Iktochi. He'd heard the Pau'an shouting to the guard, and frankly did not trust the stranger now.

The Gand glances Valem's way briefly before moving on, his expression inscrutable, but it is easy enough to guess his suspicions. The Pau'an winks a red-rimmed eye at him, to no avail. Not making any friends here, with this ruse, but my bag of tricks is limited at present...

Reaching out with the Force, Valem tries to influence the Imperial yet again: "I will NOT lose my prey, due to some bumbling junior officer!! Open this cell at once!!"

If Reesh's mind had not been made up about the shouting Pau'an before, it was now. If he had his way that inquisitor could stay in the cells till he rotted as far as he was concerned. At the time he dd not consider what an inquisitor was doing in a cell though, he had other things on his mind. He would continue to pelt across the room away from the others, heading for the cell of Iktochi. He would skid to a halt before the cell, staring at the occupant for a moment. Reesh would speak in his hurried chittering, not knowing whether anyone could understand it. 'This Gand hopes you can help us get out here'. With that he would slam the flat of his hand into the button that deactivates the energy field of the door.

With that task done he would turn to look back around the room at the situation. It appeared at least to him that the two fighting the guard should have have a handle on things. He would look up at the elevated guard room. Perhaps there was additional weapons up there, or a way to get out of this cursed place? Someone had to find out. With that he would go to make a dash for the stairs to that room, head tucked low in case the guard decides to take a few shots at him on the way.

Feeling the disturbances in the Force emanating from the Pau'an, and putting two and two together Asa dodged quickly to the left and slammed his palm onto the cage release, following suit with what he'd just seen the Gand do with the other cell.

The ray field dissipated, and Asa gestured in a deferring manner to the gaunt figure. "After you, my friend."

// That should be one maneuver to disengage, and another to hit the release on the cell door. And that's my turn!//

Now out numbered six to one, Lt. McTanen would need to rely on his elite training to overcome the great odds against him. Steadying his blaster pistol he unloaded stun shot after stun shot onto the defiant human, Asa. Each blue ring would hit Asa, as he stood in front of the cell door.

McTanen knew the fight to subdue these escaped prisoners would bring him to the brink and as soon as he was over heating his pistol he turned to the Wolfman. Locking eyes with the beast man he shouted out "Come at me!" and prepared himself for the next attack.

Kilimar nods his thanks to the Gand as he releases him. "Can't make any promises, but I'll certainly try." He then dashes across the room, going into a slide at the officer's legs. Not much in the way of skill and finesse in the maneuver, but he simply opts for trying to tangle up his legs and force him to the ground, figuring it would make shooting them a lot harder.

(Assist maneuver to whoever is next against the Imperial.)

Taking advantage of the guard's instability, the feral shistivastan slammed into the guard, knocking both to the ground as he tore at the imperial's face and uniform with clawed hands.

Maneuver to engaged, 2 strain to aim, brawl +ebb/flow to regain strain.

As the shistivastan and Lt. McTanen hit the floor, all of McTanen's possessions would spill out and he would be knocked unconscious. The flurry of scratches and blows still continued as the human laid motionless surrounded by his data pad, handcuffs, light blaster pistol, and code cylinder. The other prisoners watched with mixed emotions.

Reesh had made it inside the watch room and looked down through the duraglass walls. The watch room was bare except for a chair made to roll and a computer terminal. Kilimar was lucky enough not to be caught up in the feral shistivastan's path and after being captivated by the assault he turned to look upon the other captives.

He saw the familiar prisoners; a Human, a Gand, and a Pau-an. Standing behind the two on the ground floor was a prisoner unknown to Kilimar. An elderly dark skinned woman wearing the same light grey uniform as the others. She had a bald head but it was unkept and grown out slightly.

This mysterious prisoner was seemingly looking off in the distance with her hand out stretched. She closed her eyes and Kilimar could now see small metal pieces float above her hand. These pieces assembled midair and formed a handle. She opened her eyes and ignited the lightsaber. A bright green blade illuminated the woman and as she began to give it a test swing she disappeared.

Kilimar watches the woman, and feels a shiver of remembered dread pass through him at the lightsaber. Seeing her vanish in front of him, he shakes his head and rubs his eyes. Too many variables right now to sift through to understand what that was hinting at. He'd need quiet and meditation to see which threads lead him forward.

He glances down at the clutter of items, and picks up the code cylinder. Looking for the nearest data port, he plugs it in and sees what he can pull up on the terminal.

"You alright there?" Asa questioned Kilimar. "You spaced for a moment."

Extending his hand to each being nearby, he said, "Name's Sunrider. Would have liked to meet all you fine gentlebeings under better circumstances, but that's the way of things, isn't it?" While he spoke, Asa looked around curiously, and then picked up the binders on the floor. Could be useful.

"Anyone know where they've got our stuff?"

Kilimar glances up from the terminal as he tries to get any information off it and the code cylinder. He looks at Asa, his expression guarded and furtive, clearly Kilimar is not feeling terribly social right now, given the torture and pending execution. "Yeah I'm fine." He says eventually. "Just a random thread is all." He states this as if it makes perfect sense for his little moment. He doesn't shake Asa's hand, and seems to have barely even noticed it. His motions are quick and edgy. He clearly wants to be away from this place, wherever it is, and away from the Imperials, and social niceties are a distant second place to that. "There's got to be something we can use to get out of here, floor plan, system map, anything." He mutters, fingers typing, hoping to find something of use to their escape.

Reesh would look around the guard room with moderate disappointment. He wasn't sure why, but he had hoped the guard with have something of use like a rifle or something. Then he saw the computer, pushing the chair out of the way to the other side of the room as he approaches the computer. He would poke at it suspiciously at a few of the buttons before shaking his head. Reesh did not know much about computers, nor had he deigned to try and learn more about them. He simply didn't consider them important to his work. This fact may well have scuppered him if he had been on his own.

Fortunately for Reesh, there was a room full of inmates that may be of use here. He would jog back down the steps to rejoin the group. He would pause to look down at the body of the guard, shaking his head slightly. Such a waste. The fool didn't have to have gotten himself attacked. Still, it was the his own fault, nothing could be done now.

He would bend down for a moment to scoop up the blaster as he glances from one prisoner to the other. He would be sure to position himself away from the Pau'An before speaking. 'This Gand found a computer terminal if anyone knows how to use it'.

He was unsure how much these strangers understood, so accompanies his words with wide gestures from the blaster, directing the groups attention to the guard room as best he could. Seeing the code cylinder in the hand of the Iktochi he would increase his efforts to direct them. 'Perhaps that will help' he would state.

Kilimar spends a few minutes trying to glean any information from where they are, but keeps running up against passwords and other security barriers. He curses to himself, hoping the cylinder would unlock those for him. He turns to the other ex-captives. "We should probably get out of here, like right now. Anyone have any ideas to that end?"

Edited by KungFuFerret

Asa addressed Kilimar. "Perhaps you could give the key to, uh, Gand, was it? While you were following that random thread of yours, he suggested he might have a use for it.

"While you try that, I'll see what was so interesting on this device here." He picked up the datapad and tried to activate it, so as to see if there was any useful information.

McTanen's code cylinder would bring up a basic root menu for the terminal. There were basic code of conduct policies and some Imperial mission statements. More importantly it gave a list of available doors to access: cells 1-6, entry bulkhead, pulse suspension chamber bulkhead, evidence, and supply closet.

The pulse suspension chamber came up as "Clearance Level Unauthorized". Entry bulkhead read "Voice Authorization". Evidence simply required "Password". The other two were unlocked with code cylinder and Kilimar ordered them open. The force fields on all the cells dissipated and a "Shhht" noise of an opening door came from the ground floor of the watch tower.

One more option was available: schedule. It confirmed what Lt. McTanen had said earlier, 2 3/4 hours until scheduled execution. It outlined that the Star Destroyer "Oppressor" would exit hyperspace above Mustafar and would wait for Darth Vader to board at that time.

The data pad was unlocked and sprung to life with a touch of its holoscreen. It had profiles on each of the six prisoners assigned to the holding block, an internal messaging service, and some personal files of McTanen's. The files were no more than a few holorecordings. A family picture captioned "McTanens: Daru, Tomas, and little Alrea" that had the Lieutenant, his wife, and a small girl all dressed in their best clothes. The rest were of the small girl on what looked like a school field trip to the the Senate.

The body was the shistivastan's target. Snarling, he continued to attack the unconcius guard.

Asa, realizing that the Shistavenen was coming back for another attack on the officer, interposed himself, taking a vicious claw swipe to the neck before shoving the alien away. "He's down, friend," Asa grunted, the pain visible on his face. "Let's get on with the escape."

The shistivastan snarled back at Asa, but pausted his attack. after a moment's consideration, the wolfman rose, looking around for the exit, claws bloody.
