I wasn't disagreeing about his lack of focusing fire, I was focused on the lack of ID usage. :)

Ah, gotcha!

It was the turn (or even 2) before the bump where I'd have used ID. Removing the Quadjumper would have made the game easier. But oh well, he won anyway

When turns take forever, it can be hard to collect enough MOV on 2 ship lists.

I would have been very frustrated by the speed of play in that game.

I don't even want to know how many of their 75 minutes were spent resolving bumps.

It didn't help that they burnt almost 10 min of the round between setup and first dial placement.

Nuckols with his Hatchetman on stream now: a fully loaded Vynder with Trickshot, FCS, ATP, Protontorps, AdvSLAM and the OS1 title.

I think someone commented on how that could possibly be good? I don't remember which thread though

  • Darth Maul showed up 11 times, out of 12 CIS lists (92%). Every CIS list contained at least one Infiltrator.

Personally I experienced better results since I have separated Vultures and Infiltrators playing either 8 Vultures or 2 Infiltrators but not mixing them together. B-22 disappointed me every time I put him on the table. I would like to see some 8 Vultures lists in the hands of skilled players and how these can perform.

META WING IS BACK

"Have fun, and Fly Casual."

This has me rolling since to me "Fly Casual" is the exact opposite of how this is likely to be used. Still it is a nice tool to have access to for analysis.

Thanks meta-list-2.0-wing-fortress

He flew really well for the win. That was a great end!

He just made the Final with a self damage triggered (rammed through an asteroid and rolled a hit) QD bonus attack to knock out Wedge!

Denver is my favorite.

Thanks Gunboat.

Thanks Silencer.

Darth Vader?

But like, unironically?

Although, I do wonder why Trick Shot wasn't primary only...

I’ll say it. That was the best GUNBOAT performance ever.

And it's over. Nuckols traded Vynder for the last Silencer. :) Great game by both.

The real question: does this end the Barons' podcast drought?

I'm sad those Silencers lost, but final in the system open is awesome.

Yep, and Mitchell's maneuver with QD in the semi is epic. :)

Say what you will about how silly his variance was earlier when the game seemed lost (it was silly, but he showed skill in doing the best he could to set that up), but he demonstrated his world-class play on that turn.

I mean, I love that play and I love that it worked, but any long time QD player is always keeping an eye open for that play.

you're all missing the real point:
