With HLC that means proton torp is your go to if you want four dice poe, but thats not as good with all the beef around, and its expensive and I don't see people playing it.

Previously, I can't say I'd have a good argument against any of this. I think things are a little different now because Poe has more varied wingmate pieces/tools to protect him. I've always been dying on Mt. Poe, though.

Poe with R2 and Proton Torps flying with Cova(Leia) and A.N. Other wingman seems like it should be good. Not sure how it plays into the current meta. You could toss either Kaz or Zizi in the third spot pretty easily and have plenty of points to fool around with upgrades elsewhere.

Worth noting that he topped Swiss in Day 1 with a 6-0, then 5 rounds of single elimination so 11-0 over the two days. Crazy good pilot, but definitely not a meme list.

I feel like the recent style of 4X Poes you've been discussed some might have some legs, but maybe that's because 4 T-70 is just decent these days, given their many and large price cuts.

CIS swarm good but less good than before, and I think a good chunk of that good is people don't practice against swarms in general and CIS in particular.

swarm v swarm games were tense and interesting because opponents were willing to fight

fang and boba games as well because they were willing to come in and delete ships

3-4 ship lists just tried to get cute then got BTFO because r3 is not your friend against ordnance droids

also, holy crap discords should be okay at best, but people just don't know how to deal with them. Boba players going 'guess I'll die' even after you explain the multiple ways they can shed the buzz droids was confusing.

I (re)learned about texas:

why plan for the bigger meta when texas is just going to meme lists

hyperspace had a ton of variety despite the haters I saw very few copied lists, and even they had some variety in them

my local meta is dummy thicc. 33% of the cut were local players

people who flew things they like do better than people who fly things they think are good

Reminders for big events:

System opens are fun, and meeting new people is always great, this community is dope

scrub out alcohol is a must, and should be brought in quantities to share

we need an extra day to just hang out with people

@impspy's experience with double firespray is a texan one. We don't see people picking the good firesprays, they bring emon and krassis.

What I can think of:

It has a low ps ship (Think about how everyone is afraid of Boba Fenn).

There's no bid with it (Boba moves before other 5's).

It's only 2 ships, and those have been pretty meme-y in 2.0.

I can say I'd be worried about going vs it. 11 health turreted ships with defensive and offensive rerolls are scary.

That makes sense, FWIW watching your game i went from "what is he doing?" to "oh hey that's pretty clever" when i saw how you break off and handle the rest of the game. I had the stream muted so zero judgment there!

I'm a dip off memes for just a second with some content and backdrop. The reasons i like pinwheel formation go beyond just upsetting Chris. Most formations turn your list into "one ship" but pinwheel generally gives you the smallest footprint, making it harder to let your opponent land chip shots at the fringes. Also, the formation gives you about as tight of overlapping arcs as you can get, so if you and your opponent are honorably jousting in formation, you're more likely to be able to have all four of your ships hit the same target. Conversely, I see people doggedly sticking in formation with lists that have no close range synergies for the duration of the game, and that's generally a pretty bad call.

3. Boba/Fenn didn't do that well, but 2-ship Boba CERTAINLY did. Didn't see any 3-ship Imp Ace lists in the cut.

Vader, Duchess, Maarek mainly. Some Sabacc, Vermeil, Ved Foslo, and Countdown potentially as well.

Basically expected a lot of people to try Imp Ace Salad, but didn't expect it to work.
