Boba w/ slave 1 and if you want you can add maul, fearless, bombs, hull upgrade and more

Lets clarify that because I'm seeing a lot of Perceptive Copilot Bobas that should be either Maul or 000.
Boba starts with Maul and Slave 1. Fill in as necessary depending on what's also in the list with him. If you care so much more about his wingmates to drop Maul, then put 000 on him. Boba likes big bids with Slave 1, so naturally the already successful Boba/Fenn lists are a good starting point. The only viable list beating a Boba/Fenn bid is another Boba/Fenn otherwise you probably put too many upgrades in the list.

...bring Redline back. No balls?

Don't people usually default to what they know is good? Then new stuff gets figured out later? Boba and Fangs should be good, but I don't see how they're going to dominate the Hyperspace meta other than they're obvious choices for Scum.

"Why cant I win during list building when playing hyperspace?"
"At least in extended there are more options to deal with _____ . Lets add ____ to counter ____ ! "
Answer:

Listfortress now complete for Sith Taker open
https://listfortress.com/tournaments/1533 - 96 people extended event with top 16.
Stream games at https://www.twitch.tv/sithtakers/videos (Might want to watch round 5-6 day 1 on mute as the commentator got a bit 'tipsy')
Final between Boba/Fenn and Boba/Fenn/Nom-lumb, 7 of 16 cut lists were Hyperspace legal
https://listfortress.com/tournaments/1534 - 69 people played a 4 round hyperspace side event while cut played on Sunday

Not that it matters at all for Hyperspace, but 3 Hive Guards + Ensnare and Sun Fac + Pred went 4-2, even with new tractor changes. Interesting.
As I said some pages ago, I'm worried HS is an hot mess because Boba and Fenn are legal with all the tools they need to dominate the format.
I'm not sure if it will be already the case at the UK SOS since it's still early in the format and many people will still prefer to play their own homebrew, but in the long run I predict HS will be even worse than most 1.0 meta was as far as list diversity is concerned.
The only unknown factors are the new 2 ships, maybe Vonreg or 26 points fireball will be instrumental in lists which will hardcounter Boba, other than that I really fail to see where HS enthusiasm comes from

I can take a stress to rotate on this rock you've put me on. I still can't return fire. Wow.
Hyperbole aside, I really dislike the changes to tractor beams. I think it was a swing and a miss on the attempt to change things.
Thankfully, hyperspace. It's not NPE free, but reduced NPE feels good for the soul.
Some people's view of Boba in the Hyperspace meta

Every time I play against Boba in the Hyperspace meta

The most used ship was the Fang fighter at 30 appearances 12 of those were Fenn, 2 Teroch, 1 Kad, 3 Skull squadron and 12 Zealous recruits.
I think Boba is strong, but Fenn is the thing keeping him up - things that can prey on Boba are susceptible to Fenn Rau, and it's really hard to bid under a Boba/Fenn list.

I can't recall ever using Maul's ability. I've thought about it once or twice. He's just a force point upgrade. I'd say Maul, Title, Proton's and Hull are the 4 I'd pick above everything else. CC is probably next, followed by Fearless.

I love stirring the pot with some extended love here but I disagree with you.
There are a lot of really interesting things in Hyperspace, and the route they went in picking out specific pilots and upgrades is an exciting development for the future of competitive X-Wing. I do think a big mistake was made by leaving Slave One in the format. I do agree that there is a real chance that checkbox one for playing in a hyperspace event is to be able to beat specifically Boba, and that he'll occupy an unhealthily large percent of the cuts and therefore limit some of the really cool things we'd otherwise see.
EDIT:
Forgot the part where I disagree with you: I don't think that we are going to see 1.0 levels of lack of diversity. I don't think that Boba is "play boba or lose" though if I were a top player who wanted specifically to win I would probably be taking Boba Fenn.

I think that if the generics were appropriately priced, gravitic and the rotate mechanic would be really interesting and not oppressive. Pricey at 39 for a hive guard with gravitic as it stands I think.

This is important culturally, not just in the game.
Somewhere along the line, I think we lost sight of the fact that Boba Fett is a lovable dirtbag screwup. He's not some impossible bad*** like a Keanu Reeves or Jason Statham character.
Look, Zuckuss and 4-LOM didn't need to have Vader wag his finger in their face and tell them "No Disintegrations." Dengar knows where his towel is. Boba? I'm sure most of his bounty retrivals start to go really bad for him, and he just blows everything up, and only by a miracle doesn't die in the explosions.
Let the record show:
I always hated generics, and swarms are ruining the game.
Swarms are the devil.
Boba was always my ally.

Basically. "Use known good quantity" is usually the start point, but sometimes stays on top and sometimes gets replaced with "Thing that was previously bad or unknown that got buffed"
Can we add that the event used TTT for both events. Players submitted their own results and it didn't crash or lose data. We held Cryodex backups of rounds and pairings, but TTT was perfect.

Not disagreeing entirely. It's a very interesting ship, if overpriced without Ensnare. I hate how the thing looks, but it's pretty neat design work.
It's entirely tractor beams I dislike. It's a neat idea, but as a game mechanic I despise it.
