this is bait, but there's an important distinction to make here:

1. Wedge is fine - he's certainly trending upward in turns of usefulness, though with the giant i2 mess in hyperspace he'll probably lull for a bit. The "Wedge is bad" is referring to the Afterburners, Proton Torpedoes, Outmaneuver, massive points sinks that are bad. A 52 point, or slightly upgrade Wedge is "fine".

2. That chart is of total usage of that pilot, not the performance. For example, Wedge perform's roughly at the same rate as a Blue Sq. Escort or Red Sq. Vet, both of which are at about 1% under the rebel cut rate. The Rebel cut rate is obscenely high, though so "Decent but there's probably better stuff you should be bringing in the faction" is the wedge antilles review at the moment.

What if he's not in a block, and doesn't use Swarm Tactics?

Just being a modestly priced I6 jouster has a fair amount of value when supporting other jousters. The squad retains a lot of the overall strength of a joust-heavy list, but has a ship that makes decisions for the very maneuverable i5s just a bit uncomfortable.

Whoa, sorry, I totally misread the data I was working at. Let me just dump it correctly for clarity's sake:

Rebel cut rate: 19.43%

Wedge cut rate: 18.75%

Red cute rate: 21.05%

Blue cut rate: 15%

For reference, any list with a y-wing has a 23% cutrate, and uwings are at 27% (probably roughly 100% correlation to leia). This is all hyperspace.
