I planned to keep my lightsaber, it's just a basic one from Phemis, does that count towards the 18000? How much do they cost?

@Tramp Graphics do you have final say on what animal I can bond with or does Awayputurweapon? I was hoping for an aquatic animal so we could swim underwater.

I think it might be best for Tramp or Away to just build my character within the master rules so that I can join in soon. I would like to start but where or how will I do that? Do I start on Rei's or Koda's planet or Kamino?

Awayputurwpn has final say. But remember, the bigger the animal, the harder it is to fit on the ship, so I recommend sticking with a Silhouette 2 creature. They're plenty big without being overwhelming or too hard to fit on a starship.

But Tramp has said many times that each player's master character would eventually train someone else's starting character.

For hypothetical example:

• ToRuuk training Koda
• Mychal'el training Rai
• Korath training Chundarr
• Maa't training your starting character

Does that make sense?

My opinion is that if Rei, Koda and ToRuuk all started on the same planet (Kamino is too messy), that might make things more convenient for everyone trying to get together.

Mychal'el is partially correct. Korath started out as a D6 character and converted to D20. It's his original D6 incarnation that I used primarily when doing the conversion to F&D, only using the D20 talents since D6 doesn't use those.

As as for Rei, that character is still on Concordia.

The Milinium Falcon is only Silluette 4. Unless you're hiring Booster Terrek and his Errant Venture, there's no way someone is shipping a silluette 5 animal.

Pretty much. Really, Silhouette 2 is an ideal size for a riding beast. You don't really need anything bigger.

18,000 credits' worth of gear. Not 18,000 credits in your pocket I do like the way you think, though.

There's also a question (a little metagamey, but still) of how useful or practical such a creature will be. If we're talking an aqua monster or krayt dragon or somesuch, then transportation logistics it is really the least of your problems (even though it is a sizable problem)

As it stands, your backstory with the childless aiwha is approved, and we can worry about silhouette once you complete your character build.

2. My question was why don't you like limiting gear, and you answered because your equipment is needed. So it's not the abstract concept that you dislike, but rather the idea that you personally feel like you need everything that you've put on your character sheet?

There are hyperspace-capable animals as well as animals that can survive in space. As for space suits for creatures, you'd probably have to get them custom-made. Again though, I like the way you think. But I wouldn't go to far as to allow a hyperdrive to be strapped to a creature

I was mostly joking but if your saying it could be possible. Which ones? I remember there's space whales that make (?) Hyper drive fuel.

Would any of them be reasonable?

If not I'll settle for an Aiwha. If I cant take it with I'll just have to find a new friend in the next planet.

Thanks, @Mychal'el and @EliasWindrider , for rolling with the suggestions. We were able to work out a good compromise where @Mychal'el came out with a slightly nerfed character, and got his speeder bike as a GM-granted "resource." I'm still trying to figure out what to do with his tricked-out ship. But thanks again for getting it under control, guys.

@Mychal'el 's character is approved , aside from the shuttle (which is still pending)— provided that you are comfortable with the long list of talents and powers that you have, Mychal'el. Remember my caveat that players must understand what everything on their character sheet does

Actually, the creature you're referring to ate starship fuel, it didn't produce it.

@Matt Skywalker please confirm And please update your character sheet with XP totals, weapons & armor, personal gear, description, and just a couple sentences in the backstory about how he came by a lightsaber and his Force training. Please also explain on your character sheet about why he wants to restore the Jedi Order. I would also like to see a bit on your Morality section, how his strength of Independance & weakness of Coldness interacts with his Motivation. You have a solid frame of a character; I'd just like to see it fleshed out a teensy bit.

Unless Awayputurwpn specifically demands any changes, Korath has been done. My suggestion while you're waiting, is to get started on building your starting character so that he/she is ready to go.
