Star Wars: Jedi Quest OOC thread

Harm : 6eF+5eP+1eC+2eD 6 successes, 1 threat, 1 Triumph, 3 Light Side, 4 Dark Side

So only 2 successes. But still have enough dark pips to activate base, range, and strength.

12 damage through soak after the medicine control adds 5.

So three Successes after Suppress.

Does Korath have at least 24 WT?

Nope. I have 18 . I need to spend a Destiny Point or I am dead. (not literally, yet) I'll be at 6 beyond my Wound threshold if he's doing the same damage.

You can spend Destiny points to not get hit? what page number?

Not quite what I had in mind. I have basically two options from page 35: Upgrade the difficulty of the Dark Sider's check, (which isn't likely to do much), or Deus Ex Machina. to alert the others to the Dark Sider, drops a blast door between us, or otherwise separate him from Korath. Either way, I'm dropping into incapacitation.

Alert the others!

Posted in the IC.

@killerbeardhawk

No flood of Stormtrooper minions? We're skipping straight to a mini-boss? ??

What are my options?

I thought my character was pretty far downstairs, is he close enough to feel the "chill" tramp posted in IC?

As a player I personally don't want any PCs to get killed off. Will Korath get killed if my character doesn't intervene? Could he cut the floor out from under them? If he does help though, I think it would be acting out of character.

My character is currently on, what he feels might be, his last mission. A mission to prevent potentially billions of lives from being lost and/or ruined. Plus it's personal for my character because he was created here and trained by torturous imperial scientists here.

How do you think old man Magneto would feel if he had to go back to the concentration camp where Kevin Bacon killed his mother and then trained him to use his powers? Plus some stupid neo-Nazis are trying to set up a base there. And they don't know that there is some powerful/dangerous information buried in the basement.

Basically whatever is going on upstairs is pretty low on his priority list.

Sorry guys I'm back, and it is right up my alley, I'm going to help korath(though matt knows it is korath who alerted maa't maa't doesn't know)

Considering that this is a Dark Sider , possibly an old Inquisitor , or a Knight of Ren (or both), this is something Mychal'el should be seriously concerned about, IMO, as it is a direct threat to him as well. And, yes, more than likely, If Korath doesn't get help, he's like to die. This guy just sucked 24 wounds out of Korath with Harm in two rounds. And that is even after having his Force ability Suppressed .

@killerbeardhawk

As a player I know all that, but my character doesn't. As far as my character is concerned, Korath, Maa't, and the Inquisitor are all threats to his goal. The Inquisitor is just as likely to become an ally as Korath and Maa't are.

My character went the extra effort to travel back to a place that he's been avoiding for 40 years, and now he is forced to backtrack to team up with people that in his opinion shouldn't be there? It would be a huge leap out of character for him to intervene.

That being said, as a player I don't want any PCs to die. This puts me in very unfortunate position. Role-playing vs Roll-playing. It's what I hate about this pen & paper. The illusion of freedom.

How have two rounds gone by without help from any other players?

Can he help indirectly without changing locations somehow? By "accident" perhaps?

Can Korath run away? Downstairs maybe? He's a Racer too. Don't let him trip over his flowing robes though.

Because both rounds and the call for help were all posted while I was offline. :/

Play by post isn't played in real time. Just back-date your turn

NO, he can't. He's already exceeded his wound threshold and is incapacitated. Also, it was a The Force calling you. Telling you of a mutual threat . Doesn't he follow the will of the Force?

He does follow the will of the Force. But how does he know who the bad guy is? Sith and Jedi are two different philosophies. Mychal'el disapproves of both.

Two priests of different denominations are fighting each other, what does an Angel on his way to stop a eminent massive terrorist attack do about it?

Wel,concidering all he knows is that he feels the presence of evil and that someone is in imminent danger, he doesn't know that the other party is a Jedi or not. All he knows is that The Force is guiding him towards an imminent threat, someone of great evil who needs to be stopped before he can kill someone. And, if something isn't done, This dark power will be coming after you as well.

This is why loner characters are a pain in the *** in RPGs.

My tabletop group will split the party at the drop of a hat, but we'll always stay on comms.

Rolled Vig check at 2 threats. So you will succeed. You will get to the elevator in time to see Korath and this "Inquisitor" descend.

Am I going back to join the combat in progress? What is the situation exactly as I see it?

So if I headed to the elevator Korath and the bad guy would already be coming downstairs?

I'm starting off as a loner, reluctantly joining up with the others

That's why I offered @killerbeardhawk to control Mychal'el as a nemesis boss of this first dungeon. Then after he's defeated he would join your party

I'm not sure if your trying to fight against what I'm trying to do or just really want to fight another character.

My "job" is to get all players united under a common goal. Join bounty hunters and assassins with Jedi. You don't understand what I'm doing, it's not to **** with players.

If you want to try to fight him, be my guest.

If you want to be a loner, great, but don't make it a hassle for me. If you want to fight the PCs, please take over as GM.
