If anyone has a problem with what I'm doing as GM, please volunteer to run the game. I would love to introduce my characters and actually play.

Well, I'm in an elevator right now, and appear to be heading in your direction. Use the Force, you should be able to sense us coming.

Don't help Korath. Turns out, not everything is revolving around your character.

Do what ever your character would do.

I'm trying to get the actual party to you so you can fight them like you want to. Just wait there and when they arrive you can fight them to your heart's content.

I have a force rating of 3 so I assume I was supposed to roll 3?

Now just spend the FP on the appropriate upgrades, particularly range and Magnitude.

Is it Like: 1 base, 1 control, 2 range, 1 magnitude?

Or is it like: 3 range & 2 magnitude?

What range is the elevator?

Id like to Sense the thoughts of whoever's coming down the elevator and if I can get anybody else at the same range that would be great.

The only penalties anyone gets for using a DSP is Conflict and Strain. You have enough LSPs that you don't need to use the DSP.

well, that and the destiny flip.

I have only 4 LSP and you say that's enough so I assume then that I don't have to pay for the base power & control power, just the upgrades?

Sence Life, Sence Emotions, Sence Thoughts. Pick one. Spend a pip.

Each pip in range raises the range a number of range bands by the number of upgrades you have. Two pips on 2 range upgrades is +4 range bands.

Each pip in magnatude does the same thing, adds targets equal to number of magnatude upgrades you own.

You can only natively use lightside pips. (unless you're a darksider, in which case you can only natively use darkside pips. It matters- more double light pips than double dark, but better odds of rolling at least 1 dark than at least 1 light) The only way to use dark pips is to spend a destiny, and if you do, take 1 strain and 1 conflict for each pip you use.

So 1 pip for Sense Thoughts, 3-4 for Range & Magnitude?

How many times can I spend a destiny? I probably want to save destiny flips for mortal danger situations yeah?

In-game conflict makes the story more interesting so I kinda like that actually

In this case, the base SenseLife is probably most Important since that is what allows you to sense individuals coming towards you.

But if he wants to identify friend from foe, sence thoughts might be a more useful choice.

Each time you spend one of the player's pool of destiny points, it goes into the GM's pool of destiny points. A GM can spend destiny for pretty much the same things a player can, and if he does, it moves back into the party's destiny pool.

Yes I want Sense Thoughts then.

Even if Korath is incapacitated he'll still have thoughts and motivations unless he's completely braindead.

If I'm too far away can I move closer before using the power?

One pip into Range, with your 3 range upgrades, can get you out to long range. (engaged>Short>Med>Long), which is about a football field away, ballpark estimate.

Two pips gets you 2 bands past Extreme range- you're starting to get into starship combat scales.

Rakydos pretty much nailed it. I was already within a two range band radius of everyone when the Dark Sider showed up.

Wow, this power is awesome then! I thought I had to spend a pip to move from short to mid and another for long and so on and so forth.

So I'll do:

1 pip - sense thoughts = 1 person/ engaged

1 pip - range = long range

2 pips - magnitude = 3 people total

Just by whoever is closest
