Athletics?
Star Wars: In The Pits OOC
Describe it to me.
Well instead of aptly dodging the wall you try to rush past it after identifying the interval at which the walls move up and down. Bull would run past when he has the most time to do so.
So a combination of patience and strength. Give Bulls lack of Cool I'll throw an additional Setback at that Athletics check, making it DCCS.
I would argue vigilance instead of Cool since he has to study the walls. I'm probably just gonna attack the Vrblther in front of bull adding an aim for boost. I'll wait for @Revanchist to post coordination then I'll attack.
Just to be clear, right now it is past my turn to make an IC post, right?
I Believe it is the beginning of initiative again so anyone can go I was planning on waiting for Revanchist to roll so I could at least describe everything that Bull was seeing in his perspective.
It's NPC at the top, but you can make a post first @Arctanaar
Ok so Sevrath suffers a wound and strain too
So I'll wait for the beasties to take their turns before I stack them around a bit more.
I'll take the second PC slot
Going to bed. If arctaana doesn't want to post before the morning then I'll just move on to the beasts.

Oh, I was/am confused regarding where my actions fit in. Do I make an IC post with the actions I described?
Sure. Just try to fit the narrative already created. With PBP it's sometimes important to bend rules a little to ensure each character keeps in the scene and the story makes sense.
So you lept atop a wall and observed then moved towards the lever, somewhere in there the other lever was pulled. That could surprise you, or give you a chance to position yourself in a beneficial way.
Yeah it kinda applies to you in a special case since you succeeded in not being surprised by the wall while you were atop it. For Bull it doesn't affect him that much since he wasn't exactly hugging a wall.
Good post @Arctanaar
So @Richardbuxton how many beasties are in front of Bull?
Richardbuxton?
There are six of them, currently in two groups. And they are about to attack you. I'm going to have them roll Athletics first to see if they get clipped by the walls, then an attack.
The six on the side of the arena will also attack, but again they are being hasty sotgey will make an Athletics check too.
The 4 remaining beasts will act later in the round.
Remember for each beastie that enters range of Bull they have to pass Fear Checks. Is the one in front of Bull still alive?
Minion Group 3 (6) engaging Sevrath
Coordination to dodge walls
:
3eA+2eC+1eD
1 failure, 1 threat
thats 2 Strain & 1 Wound = 3 wounds
Minion Group 4 (3) Coordination to Engage Bull and Michael
Coordination to dodge walls
:
3eA+2eC+1eD
1 failure
thats 1S & 1W so 2 Wounds
Minion Group 4 Fear
Fear for engaging Bull
:
2eA+3eD
1 failure, 3 threat
Ouch!
Minion Group 5 (3) Coordination to Engage Bull and Michael
Coordination to dodge walls
:
3eA+2eC+1eD
2 successes
no damage.
Minion Group 5 Fear
Fear for engaging Bull
:
2eA+3eD

Ill work out the consequences of those fear checks a little later on. Then there's their 3 actions.
Edited by RichardbuxtonSo here's the layout currently as I read it, each dash is the equivalent of a move manoeuvre, + = Engaged, 0=Short, 1=Medium, 2=halfway to Long, 3=Long, 5=Extreme :

if it's not right to you then let me know what to adjust
Seems right to me.
I recall that it's Button 1+Vyrr. (EDIT: yeah, it's a '+', can provide a citation if needed.)
Also, what does everyone think of me shooting at the gathering in the centre, if it is possible (the walls are moving, after all; also, how is the check going to be modified in that case? 1 setback per range band?) from my position?
EDIT: so, Bull acts next, right?
Edited by ArctanaarBull will act next yes, May I attack the Minons next to Bull.
